Wrapped in a thin sheet, Luke held the Dragon Queen against his chest, his hand moving slowly down the length of her back.
The warmth of her body rested comfortably against him, and for the first time since the intensity between them had subsided, the room had fallen into a quiet neither of them seemed eager to disturb.
He knew she was awake. Her breathing had steadied, but her heart still had not quite returned to its normal rhythm.
