THREE DAYS AFTER AWAKENING - SERA'S RECOVERY ROOM
"I accidentally created a LAKE."
I stared out the window. Where the council's PARKING area used to be, there was now a shimmering body of crystal-clear water. Fish swam in perfect CIRCLES. Lily pads bloomed with flowers that hummed MUSIC.
"A BEAUTIFUL lake," Mira offered helpfully.
"Still a LAKE where CARRIAGES used to park." I turned back to Sera. "Can you—UN-create it?"
Sera sat cross-legged on her bed. Silver hair floating SLIGHTLY—defying gravity without her noticing. Her new eyes—starlight SILVER—flickered with concentration.
"I'm TRYING. But it's like—" She scrunched her face. "—trying NOT to breathe. My consciousness just—CREATES. Automatically. I think about water and WATER appears. I think about beauty and beauty MANIFESTS. I think about—"
A butterfly appeared. Made of STARLIGHT. It fluttered around the room before dissolving.
