Suzy glanced at him, hesitated for a moment, then responded, "Yes."
It was best to map out the entire area. That way, if trouble ever arose, making a quick escape would be much easier. Before starting her actual plan, she needed to familiarize herself with the entire P City Base.
"Do you have any plans for tomorrow?"
"I'm going to walk around the base tomorrow," Suzy said.
Mark offered, "I was planning to explore the base tomorrow as well. Want to go together?"
Suzy didn't agree. A flicker of resistance crossed her face, which Mark caught immediately.
Rather than feeling hurt, Mark said considerately, "If it's inconvenient for you, forget I asked. I can look around on my own tomorrow."
Suzy nodded and instructed, "Then stay safe out there."
Hearing her warning made Mark feel oddly unsettled. Is she really not coming with me? he thought to himself, though he didn't press the matter further. "I know. You take care tomorrow, too."
"Let's both call it an early night," Suzy said.
