Kelechi didn't know how long he slept for after the first initial hit and the silent tears and shoulder shaking sobs.
He only woke up when a hand roughly pushed him and even hitting him a bit to stand up.
"Get up you stupid boy!" A cold male voice sounded.
"Urgh..." Kelechi was roughly stirred awake.
When he opened his eyes properly he saw himself inside that same Camry, looking at the same man and finally his situation came crashing down on him all over again.
His eyes instantly welled up with tears. But he couldn't cry out, former experience had taught him otherwise.
"I don't like repeating myself boy. Get out of the car!" That cold voice from earlier came, breaking Kelechi out of his thoughts followed by a rough push that sent him stumbling to the still closed door.
The door opened from the outside revealing Clinton who reached in and grabbed Kelechi arm with one hand and pulled him out.
His face was cold and even showed a slight amusement when he roughly threw the boy onto the hard,a slightly wet grassy ground.
It was then that Kelechi looked up and saw that they were in the open in a low grassy area and no cars or houses in sight.
The night was cold and unfeeling and Kelechi was scared and trembling.
"Get up!" Clinton said harshly as he slammed the car door close before walking towards Kelechi.
Kelechi shakily stood up to his feet.
He was still in his uniform.
Clinton frowned at that.
Then he turned to Anthony who had just come out of the other side of the car and said.
"Do you have any spare clothes for him with you."
Anthony openly sneered at the question and looked at Clinton like he was looking at an extremely stupid individual.
"This is one of the reasons that I didn't want to work with you Clinton." He said voice cold and laced with undisguised mockery."So, you're here telling me that you had all the time before coming to his school earlier today but didn't remember to bring a change of wears?"
Clinton merely shrugged unconcerned.
"Yes."
Anthony's eye twitched and he seemed ready to explode before he calmed down and took a deep breath to steady himself.
'Don't kill him... don't kill him. He isn't worth it.' Anthony thought to himself.
He then looked up and went back to the car side that he just came from.
After an opening and a slamming shut he walked over with the same leather bag from earlier.
Arriving before Kelechi,he placed a hand on the bag and opened the zipper before putting a hand in and drawing out worn simple clothes that looked to be Kelechi's size.
It consisted of a simple shirt with faded light trousers.
"Change." Anthony said coldly.
Kelechi shivered them immediately began changing in front of them.
Minutes later he changed fully and his clothes were bundled up by Anthony and thrown in the car boot before closing it.
The clothes were a bit big on Kelechi's body and seemed to do little against the chilly evening air.
"Let's go." Anthony said from behind him. And with Clinton in front, they began walking forward.
The three people walked forward in silence with nothing but a small flashlight and the moon above along with the steady sound of cricket and some other insects.
They didn't walk far before they saw a small compound in the distance with a few light bulbs showing light on some armed men patrolling the area.
As their group came closer, the men spotted them first and raised their gun pointing at them while telling them to step forward carefully, hands in the air.
Kelechi was scared out of his mind and followed orders shakily but immediately.
At a few steps away they were told to stop and one of the armed men lowered his gun and stepped forward searching the men and even the body, quickly and efficiently.
He then gave a clear sign to the other before stepping away.
"Who are you?" One of them, presumably the leader of the group, a dark-skinned well built man with a no nonsense face asked.
"We're here for a trade under the big boss to your leader." Clinton said calmly, hands still raised.
"Hmm..." The man who asked the question said looking at them carefully.
"We brought him here to complete the earlier trade that wasn't complete." Anthony said, hands raised in the air as he tilted his head in Kelechi's direction.
The fierce man's eyes landed on Kelechi make him shiver a bit.
After a while the man gestured to one of the other men present who came over and whispered some words to his ear.
After he was done the other man simply nodded then went through the opened side gate.
"Wait here." The man simply stayed guns still raised as he watched them closely.
Kelechi felt like every moment was a punishment as his arms started to feel heavy as the seconds ticked by.
After a some minutes the man came back outside and whispered some words to their leader who's eyes landed on them once more.
After the man finished speaking the leader of the group nodded then gestured to his men to lower their weapons.
Clinton, Anthony and Kelechi slowly brought down their hands and,in Kelechi's case-allowed then to hand freely by his sides.
"Follow me.' The man said then the group behind him parted and he entered inside with their group following behind him.
The compound was larger than they thought when they finally entered through the side gate.
There was a very large front space and several medium sized buildings scattered around.
They walked through some passageways before finally arriving at the center building which was a bit bigger than the rest surrounding it.
There was a very noticeable space between the centre building and the other buildings.
Two armed men stood in front of the entrance door like sentries.
