Chapter 131 - The Breaking of the Ice

Jay Jay's POV

The silence in the kitchen was heavy, broken only by the sound of our breathing. Keifer stood before me, a dark silhouette against the moonlight, yet his eyes were brighter than I had ever seen them.

They were wide, frantic, and burning with a restless, chaotic intensity that made my heart hammer violently against my ribs.

Why is he looking at me like that? There was no hatred left in his expression. The icy, calculated mask he had worn at the foundry had completely shattered.

Instead, his gaze moved over my face with a terrifying, unvarnished hunger. It was a look of pure desperation, like a man drowning and staring at the shore.

Is he okay? What happened to him tonight?

"Keifer, you're shaking," I whispered, my voice barely audible. "What did she do to you?"He didn't answer.

He didn't say a single word.He stepped forward, closing the final inch of distance between us.

Before I could process the movement, his large hand came up, his fingers tangling roughly into the hair at the back of my neck.

He pulled me forward, and his lips crashed against mine.I froze. My hands locked against his chest, the fabric of his dark jacket bunching under my fingers. My brain screamed at me to push him away.

But why I will.

I have nothing left to hide from him, and I am not about to start pretending I do.

He already knows what I look like naked, so modesty is out the window.

We've already done everything together, so why play hard to get now?

My body is an open book to him, so I see no reason to close it.

But This was the man who had pointed a loaded gun at my chest just hours ago. This was the man who had threatened to bury me in the earth. The memory of the freezing metal against my sternum was still fresh, still bleeding.

But the kiss wasn't a threat. It was a plea.It was a hungry, desperate collision of everything we had been suppressing—the grief, the terror, the unyielding tie that neither of us could sever.

The moment his tongue brushed against my lower lip, a violent tremor ran through my entire body. My defenses, built over four days of agony, crumbled into absolute dust.

I surrendered. My mouth opened under his, gasping into the kiss as I let go of the glass of water. It hit the counter behind me with a dull thud, spilling over the marble, but I couldn't care less.

My arms slithered up his chest, wrapping tightly around his neck, pulling him down until there was no air left between us. I drank him in, tasting the rain and the winter night on his lips, giving in to the absolute madness of the midnight hour.

Keifer's POV

Why am I doing this?

Why am I here?

The questions roared in my mind, a frantic chorus of logic trying to stop a runaway train. Just hours ago, I had condemned her. I had called her a murderer.

Yet, the moment my lips touched hers, the universe narrowed down to the heat of her skin and the frantic, broken rhythm of her heartbeat against my palms. What is she doing to me? She was a poison, a drug, a chaotic element that dismantled everything I was.

But as she whimpered into my mouth, her fingers tightening at the scruff of my neck, the revulsion I had felt in Sienna's room vanished, replaced by an all-consuming, primal need to possess her.I didn't want to think.

I didn't want to analyze the self-inflicted scratches or the lies. I just needed her. With a low groan, I hooked my hands under her thighs and lifted her off the floor. Jay Jay didn't hesitate.

She wrapped her legs tightly around my waist, her fingers burying deep into my hair as she pulled my mouth back to hers. Her weight against me was a grounding, beautiful friction.Holding her tightly against my chest, I carried her out of the kitchen and up the dark, winding stairs of the Fernandez mansion.

My movements were driven by blind instinct, guiding me down the long upper hallway until I pushed open a door at the very end.I took her inside.

The moment the door clicked shut behind us, the room's fragrance hit me like a physical blow.

The air didn't smell like the expensive, suffocating florals of my own house. It smelled slightly like my own cedarwood cologne—from the jackets she always stole from me—mixed with her signature, grounding scent of fresh strawberries.

It was a familiar, heartbreaking aroma that violently unlocked something deep within my subconscious.A barrage of buried, fractured memories flooded my mind, hitting me in rapid, agonizing successions:

'I love you, Jay, until the scientists find the end of theuniverse...'

'Butterfly...no you have fever'

'My Marshmallow...'

The nicknames, the soft whispers from a time before the blood and the lies, tore through my defenses. My chest heaved as a sharp pain exploded behind my eyes, the weight of the past colliding with the reality of the present.

AUTHOR POV

The weight of those words—the remnants of a life before the darkness took hold—threatened to pull the ground from beneath his feet.

Keifer tightened his grip, his forehead resting against hers as he struggled to reconcile the girl in his arms with the version of her he had tried so hard to hate.

He moved toward the bed, the moonlight casting long, silver shadows across the room. As he lowered her onto the mattress, the silence of the house seemed to amplify the frantic rhythm of their shared breaths. He followed her down, his presence a heavy, grounding force in the dim light.

Jay Jay looked up at him, her eyes searching his face for a glimpse of the boy she used to know. Her hands reached up, her palms flat against his chest, feeling the erratic thud of his heart.

The pain behind his eyes was a dull roar, a battle between the cold mask he had perfected and the warmth spreading through his chest. He leaned down, his face inches from hers, tracing the line of her jaw with a thumb that still shook.

"The silence is too loud," he finally rasped, his voice raw. "Every time I look at you, the world I built starts to fall apart, why?."

She didn't pull away. Instead, she moved closer, bridging the final gap until their foreheads touched. In that moment, the mansion, the foundry, and the threats of the previous hours felt worlds away, replaced by the heavy reality of two people trying to find their way back from the edge.

Jay Jay's POV

The silver moonlight cut across the bed, illuminating the dark, chaotic intensity in his eyes. There was no hesitation left in him.

Keifer didn't ask for permission. He just gathered the hem of my oversized t-shirt and pulled it up over my head in one fluid, urgent motion.

It was his shirt. One of his absolute favorites. I had playfully fought him for it weeks ago, back when his mind was clear, back when he looked at me and remembered exactly who I was—his love. Seeing it on me now seemed to break whatever final restraint he had left.

I didn't care that he hadn't asked. We had crossed this line together more times than I could count, so many times that I had long since lost track of the number. Our bodies possessed an unwritten history that a few days of paranoia and anger could never truly erase. Despite the cold metal he had pressed into my chest just hours ago, the familiar, possessive heat of his skin against mine felt like coming home.

A sharp gasp escaped my lips as his large, calloused hands made contact with my bare breast.

He was so needy tonight. It wasn't the measured, controlled touch of the man who ruled corporate boardrooms, it was the raw, desperate grasp of a man trying to anchor himself in a storm. His hands tracked a burning path up my ribcage, carefully avoiding the white bandage on my shoulder, before framing my breasts with a fierce, heavy pressure that made my entire body arch toward him.

"Keifer..." I whimpered, my fingers digging deep into the muscles of his back as he leaned over me, his weight crushing me into the mattress.

He didn't speak. Instead, he buried his face into the curve of my neck, his breath heavy and ragged against my skin. In the quiet of the room, the scent of cedarwood and the soft glow of the moonlight created a world where the outside chaos couldn't reach us.

The fear from earlier in the day began to recede, replaced by the weight of his presence and the silence that spoke of everything we couldn't yet say out loud.

Keifer's POV

The remaining barriers of logic collapsed entirely. I didn't want to think about the boardroom, the foundry, or the web of lies tightening around my family. Driven by a raw, primal instinct I could no longer control, my mouth slid down her stomach, pressing a hot, fierce kiss against her navel. The physical reaction was instantaneous, a spark that ignited the unyielding heat in my veins,i saprate her legs.

Without warning, I shifted my weight and drove inside her.

The sudden intrusion caught us both in the dark. Every muscle in her body instantly clamped down around me, a rigid wall of resistance that felt like it was actively pushing me out. Her body was fighting the unexpected intrusion, the sheer friction locking me in place.

I braced my hands against the mattress on either side of her head, my jaw clenching as I stayed still for a fraction of a second, waiting for the initial shock to pass. Slowly, deliberately, I pressed forward again, using my weight to break through the resistance and make my way deep inside her.

Jay Jay's POV

The darkness of the bedroom seemed to tilt as his lips left my stomach. Before I could even register the sudden shift in his posture, he entered me without the slightest hint or signal.

The abrupt movement violently shocked my entire system, a sudden force that tore the breath completely from my lungs.

"AAHH... Keifer..." I gasped out, the sound tearing from my throat as my fingers dug violently into his arms skin , my toes curling against the sheets.

My body instinctively recoiled from the suddenness of the friction, my internal muscles tightening so hard they fought against his weight. The sensation was overwhelming, a sharp rush of heat that flooded my core as he forced his way past my defenses.

"Ahh... oo God, unghh..."

I unlocked my jaw, the cries slipping past my lips into the quiet room. But as I looked up into his eyes in the dim moonlight, I saw the wild, fractured gaze of a man running from his own mind. He wasn't entirely present, he was fighting a frenzy he didn't know how to stop.

He needed this to ground himself.

He needed me.

So I let him. I wrapped my legs tightly around his waist, pulling him deeper into me, and accepted the rough, unyielding rhythm of his weight.

Jay Jay's POV

I let him break me. I let every wall, every ounce of resistance, and every bit of pain from the last four days dissolve under the sheer, crushing weight of his body. When his first release finally flooded deep inside my core, it felt like a dam bursting, a hot wave of raw finality that made my entire body shudder beneath him.

But it wasn't over.

Before I could even sink into the mattress, his grip on my waist tightened. He pulled back and began moving again, his rhythm even rougher, more relentless than before. His skin was burning against mine, his breaths coming in jagged, desperate gasps.

"Aahh... Keifer, can you wait?" I pleaded, my voice cracking as I clutched at his shoulders, my fingers slipping on the sweat slicking his chest. "Just... let me catch my breath..."

He didn't answer.

He didn't even slow down.

"Aahh... don't stop...kei-keifer"

He was completely deaf to my words, his eyes dark and unblinking in the moonlight as he drove deeper into me. It was like he was drowning in this, caught in a violent undercurrent he had no desire to fight.

He was using my body to escape the ghosts in his head, and knowing that, I simply tightened my legs around his waist, offering him the only sanctuary he had left.

Keifer's POV

I didn't want to stop.

The moment I drowned inside her, the suffocating fog in my mind didn't just clear—it evaporated. The paranoia, the suspicion, the cold weight of the gun I had held earlier today, and the sickening memory of Sienna's touch were all instantly erased by the blinding, intoxicating pleasure of her core. It was the only thing that could silence the roar in my head.

Oh God, it's peace.

For the first time in days, the chaos in my chest stopped clawing at me. This wasn't just physical release, it was a sanctuary, a visceral calm that had been elusive until this moment.

"Ohh...God... keifer...Ungh"

"Aray!"

Hearing her voice beneath me didn't pull me away—it anchored me. I needed this quiet, this absolute certainty that only existed in the closeness of the room where the world outside couldn't reach us.

I slowed my pace, my hands resting on her hips as the adrenaline began to fade, replaced by a heavy, unyielding need to simply stay here. I was terrified that the moment we drifted apart, the reality of the guns, the lies, and the outside world would come crashing back in.

Instead, I pulled her closer, burying my face in the crook of her neck, letting the silence finally settle over us.

Keifer's POV

But The remaining barriers of logic collapsed entirely. I didn't want to think about the boardroom, the foundry, or the web of lies tightening around my family. Driven by a raw, primal instinct I could no longer conkktrol, my mouth slid down her soft breast, stomach again, pressing a hot, fierce kiss against her navel. The physical reaction was instantaneous, a spark that ignited the unyielding heat in my veins.

But I was too needy. The fever under my skin made me completely relentless. I needed to be closer, to erase every inch of distance between us. Without a word, I used my fingers to open her up, stretching her core with a firm, heavy pressure to make a path for myself.

I wanted her completely ready for my weight. My hands dug into her waist, anchoring her to the mattress as I pushed deep inside her again, moving with a rough, unyielding rhythm that drove the chaos completely out of my mind.

Jay Jay's POV

Looking up at him in the dim light,he looked too handsome, I could see how desperate he was. He was moving without a single hint of gentleness, his fingers hitting my most sensitive spots as he stretched me out, making room for his large frame.

The sheer force of his touch shocked my entire system, but I didn't fight him. I let him be rough. I let him break through every defense I had left because I knew how badly he needed this grounding.

"Ugh... KEIFER..." I cried out, the sharp rush of intense pleasure and heavy pressure tearing from my throat.

My fingers dug violently into the fabric of badsheet, my toes curling against the sheets as he relentlessly drove into me, his hips crashing against mine over and over. The heat was overwhelming, a deep friction that filled my entire core until I couldn't even catch my breath.

"Aahhhh...ohh God..."

I unlocked my jaw, surrendering completely to the frantic, needy rhythm of his body, letting him use my warmth to finally quiet the madness in his head.

Keifer's POV

The release brought no peace. The fire under my skin burned just as hot, demanding more than a single surrender could ever give. I was completely unsatisfied. The raw, primal hunger inside me hadn't eased,it had expanded, morphing into an aggressive, unyielding urge to possess her even deeper.

I looked down at her, my pulse hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs. I wanted to push back in, to drive through her over and over until the last remnants of the boardroom and the foundry were utterly destroyed. My hands gripped her waist tighter, anchoring her to the mattress as I prepared to take more. The madness in my head was still screaming, and I was entirely relentless.

Jay Jay's POV

I couldn't breathe. I couldn't move. He had taken my voice, my strength, and every single defense I possessed, leaving me completely empty. There was a profound, hollow ache stretching through my core where my warmth used to be.

I was a thoroughly drained vessel, completely spent beneath his heavy frame.

Yet, as I looked up into his desperate eyes, I felt the terrifying shift. He wasn't done. The unyielding tension in his muscles told me he wanted more, that his hunger was still raging out of control.

I lay there in the dim light, utterly powerless and hollowed out, knowing he was about to force his way back into a body that had absolutely nothing left to give.

Jay Jay's POV

The raw, frantic rhythm of his body suddenly shifted something deep inside me. After weeks of distance, of cold silence, and the terrifying fear that the boardroom and the foundry had stolen him away forever—he was here.

Really here.

The crushing weight of his chest against mine, the unyielding friction, and the relentless drive of his hips were no longer just a storm of anger.

It was him.

The overwhelming, heavy pressure filling my core was the exact feeling that I missed so much. It was the terrifying, beautiful intensity that belonged only to my Keifer.

Every hard, deep thrust shattered the hollow numbness that had taken over my body, replacing the emptiness with a searing, undeniable reality. He was consuming me, breaking me down until there was nothing left, but in that destruction, I finally felt alive again.

My fingers stopped scratching uselessly at his shoulders. Instead, I hooked my nails into his skin, clinging to his muscle as he drove me higher and higher into the mattress. My throat was tight, my voice nearly gone from his relentless assault, but the truth forced its way past my lips in a broken, desperate sob.

"I love you, Keifer..." I wept against his neck, surrendering every single piece of my soul to his hunger. "I love really...aahh...love you so much"

Keifer's POV

The raw desperation in her voice struck me harder than any physical blow. Her words hung in the humid air of the room, cutting straight through the frantic noise in my head. Slowly, the relentless rhythm of my hips ground to a halt. The frantic urge to destroy everything faded, replaced by a sudden, sharp clarity.

I leaned up on my forearms, shifting my weight so I could look down at her. Really look at her.

She was an absolute mess beneath me.

Strands of damp hair clung to her cheeks, tangled and wild. Her face was flushed deep red, slick with a mixture of sweat and the tears still leaking from the corners of her eyes. I reached up, my hand trembling slightly as I brushed the wet locks away from her forehead, clearing her face.

Even now, with my body still deeply embedded in hers, the dark hunger inside me wasn't fully quiet. My right hand slid back down the length of her body, my fingers instinctively seeking her core. I pressed into her again, stretching her already spent walls, testing her limits to see if she could take more of the weight I was so desperate to unload.

But she didn't flinch. She didn't cry out in pain.

Instead, Jay Jay just looked back at me. Her hands moved slowly, lifting from the mattress to slide into my hair. Her fingers threaded through the strands carefully, gently anchoring me to her. And then, through the tears tracking down her cheeks, she smiled. It was a soft, completely vulnerable smile that shattered the last of my anger.

"Why aren't you fighting me?" I rasped, my voice thick and rough from the exertion. "I'm breaking you, Jay Jay. I'm taking everything, and you're just... looking at me like that."

Jay Jay's POV

The sudden stillness of his massive frame above me felt louder than the frantic rhythm from moments before. I could feel his fingers down below, heavy and unyielding, stretching my core as if searching for a compliance I had already given him completely. The physical pressure was intense, a deep ache that reminded me of how relentless he could be.

But I didn't care about anything. I didn't care about the mess of sweat and tears on my face.

I looked into his eyes, seeing the exact moment the blind madness began to recede, leaving behind the man I loved. My fingers found their way into his hair, feeling the damp, familiar texture. I held him gently, caressing his scalp, wanting him to know that he didn't have to force his way into my world. He was already the center of it.

"Because you're here, Because I miss you so much" I whispered, my voice cracked and barely audible, yet steady. I let the smile stay on my lips, even as a fresh tear slipped down into my ear. "You can take whatever you need, Keifer. I'm not going anywhere."

His chest rose and fell in a heavy, ragged breath. "You're empty, Jay Jay. I can feel it. I've used you up to quiet my own head, and I still want more. It's not fair to you."

"Then take more," I replied softly, pulling gently on his hair to bring his forehead down against mine. "Fill the emptiness. I'm yours."

Keifer's POV

Her absolute surrender didn't tame the beast inside me,it fed it. Hearing her tell me to take more, seeing her smile through her tears, snapped the final thread of my restraint. The dark, furious edge of my hunger flared up again, hotter and more demanding than before. If she was offering herself up to fill my void, I was going to use every single inch of her warmth until the madness was completely burned out.

My fingers sank deeper into her core, stretching her relentlessly one last time before my hands slammed down onto the mattress on either side of her head. I locked my elbows and drove forward with a sudden, devastating force.

"Ahhh!"

The sharp gasp tore from her throat as I buried myself to the absolute hilt, filling her completely. I didn't pause to let her adjust. The anger at the world, the boardroom, and the lies coiled tightly in my muscles, transforming into a savage, dominant passion. I began to move again, building a rhythm that was faster, deeper, and completely unforgiving.

Every heavy crash of my hips against hers was a demand for her entire existence. I watched her face, devouring the sight of her control fracturing all over again. I wanted her sobbing. I wanted her screaming my name until her voice failed entirely.

Jay Jay's POV

A violent sob shattered my breath the moment he lunged forward. The newfound passion driving him was terrifyingly fierce, laced with a lingering, desperate anger that made him heavier and more unyielding than before. He was completely filling the emptiness, stretching me so profoundly that my vision blurred around the edges.

"A-Aahhh... Keifer... oh God!"

I gasped for air, my head thrown back against the pillows as the frantic pace reached a deafening crescendo. My fingers ripped away from his hair, lunging out to clutch the bedsheets on either side of me. I gripped the fabric so hard my knuckles turned stark white, tearing at the linen as he relentlessly drove me to the brink of insanity.

Every single thrust was a heavy, overwhelming wave of friction and raw intensity that forced a continuous stream of helpless moans from my chest. I couldn't think. I couldn't process the pain or the pleasure, they had melted together into a singular, burning heat. He was taking everything, conquering every defense I had left, and I could only weep against the mattress, completely consumed by the storm of his touch.

Keifer's POV

The final boundary snapped entirely. A deep, violent tremor rippled through my spine as the built-up tension from the foundry, the boardroom, and the lies finally exploded.

I collapsed forward, burying my face into the crook of her neck, completely paralyzed by the overwhelming sensation of the release. For several long minutes, the world outside dissolved completely. I couldn't move, I could only listen to the ragged sound of our breathing as my pulse slowly began to drop.

When I finally managed to push myself up and pull away from her, the sudden separation drew a sharp, involuntary moan from her lips.

"Aray...ahhh"

I sat back on my heels, the heavy silence of the bedroom settling around us like lead. As the fog of pleasure fully cleared, reality hit me like a physical blow.

I looked down at her.

She was completely breathless, her chest heaving, her skin slick and bruised from my relentless weight. The brutal realization of what I had done—how roughly I had treated her just to quiet my own demons—choked the words right out of my throat. I couldn't speak. I could only stare at my hands in absolute horror.

Jay Jay's POV

The intense heat of his release flooded through me, signaling the end of the storm. He collapsed against me, his heavy head resting on my shoulder as the minutes ticked away in complete stillness. As always I held him, waiting for the familiar warmth of his embrace, but the moment he finally pulled out of me, a loud, heavy moan tore from my raw throat from the sudden emptiness.

Keifer didn't look at me. He sat back, his body completely rigid, staring down at the mattress in total silence.

The silence stretched, turning freezing cold. Panic seized my chest. He looked so detached, so utterly horrified by the quiet in the room. He regrets it, the thought sliced through me, sharp and agonizing. He thinks I'm disgusting. He's disgusted by what we just did.

Tears pricked my eyes all over again, burning against my flushed skin. Desperate to break the suffocating tension and give him a way out, I forced my trembling arm to lift. My fingers shook violently as I pointed toward the hallway.

"The... the bathroom," I whispered, my voice completely broken, gasping for the air that wouldn't fill my lungs. "It's... it's right through there... if you want to wash off."

Keifer's POV

Her broken whisper cut through the suffocating silence of the bedroom, shattering the numb paralysis holding me captive." The bathroom. It's right through there... if you want to wash off."

I looked up from my hands, my eyes tracking her trembling finger as she pointed toward the door. The absolute exhaustion in her voice was devastating, but it was the look in her eyes that made my chest constrict with a terrifying, suffocating panic.

She wasn't just tired.

She looked mortified.

She looked entirely rejected, as if my heavy, horrified silence was a judgment passed directly on her.

My mind spun into complete chaos. I wanted to open my mouth and tell her the truth. I wanted to tell her that the horror freezing my veins had nothing to do with her, and everything to do with the monster I had just been.

I wanted to explain that I was disgusted by my own hands, my own relentless cruelty, and the fact that I had used her body like a shield to hide from the ghosts of the foundry.

But the dark reality of what I had done began to sink in, turning my stomach. I hadn't just been rough—I had been completely reckless with her. Driven by that primal, ugly fever under my skin, I hadn't even stopped to ask her for permission. I hadn't asked if she was ready for my weight, or if she wanted the bruising, unyielding rhythm I forced upon her.

I had simply taken. My fingers had stretched her core, making a path for myself based entirely on my own desperate need, never once checking if she wanted to bear the brunt of my chaos. I had used her warmth to quiet the madness in my head, totally blind to the fact that I was draining her dry in the process.

The words wouldn't come. My throat felt like it was coated in ash. I didn't know how to fix this.

I didn't know how to look at the marks beginning to form on her hips. How could I say Iam confused when I had just treated her like an object to be consumed, violating every boundary of gentleness we ever had?

The weight of my guilt was too heavy, blinding me to everything else. Unable to find my voice, and terrified that staying would only make things worse, I did the only thing my broken brain could process.

I obeyed.

I swung my legs over the edge of the mattress, my muscles stiff and heavy. Without looking back at her—because I knew if I saw the tears in her eyes again, I would completely fall apart—I stood up and walked away.

Every step toward the bathroom felt like a cowardly retreat, the cold floor beneath my feet a harsh reminder of the warmth I was abandoning. I closed the door behind me, shutting out the sight of the mess I had made, and turned on the water, wishing desperately that it could wash away the shame settling deep into my bones.
