Lazarus, like usual, wakes up an hour before the sun rises over the eastern horizon.
The first thing he does after he freshens up is head straight to his home gym.
His gym is equipped with nearly every piece of workout equipment a human might need to build a top-class physique, and it also happens to overlook his garden, making it possible for Lazarus to work out while the sun rises in front of his eyes.
The first part of his workout routine always includes some form of cardio to build up his stamina. A pokémon trainer worth anything need to have good conditioning.
Yesterday, he did jumping jacks. Today, he spends almost an hour running on top of a treadmill, after which he proceeds with his usual weight training.
Today is Monday, which means his weight training session today consists of pushing exercises.
He performs 3 sets of bench presses, 4 sets of weighted push-ups, 3 sets of overhead presses, and 2 sets of shoulder presses.
And he always takes each set to muscular failure for those extra muscle gains.
The entire workout takes him just over an hour and a half.
And as soon as Lazarus is done with his workout, the sun has fully risen, and the liquid gold light of the morning sun enters the room.
Lazarus's muscular body feels the warmth emitted by the morning rays, paired with a gentle breeze entering the room.
Lazarus spends fifteen minutes meditating in front of the sun, preparing himself mentally for the rest of the day, before heading straight into the shower.
After his shower, he heads to his kitchen and proceeds to make himself a protein-rich breakfast, but not before he puts on Jubilife TV to keep himself up to date with what's happening around the globe.
"In a recent interview with Galar Times, Chairman Rose of Macro Cosmos gave us some updates regarding his plans for a space station, " The news anchor reports, "He spoke at length about how humanity needs to develop a stronger presence in outer space to better monitor the threat of legendary pokémon. He claims having a dedicated space station for this purpose will help us better prepare for the migratory route of the weather trio.
And at the end of his speech, Chairman Rose confirmed recent rumors regarding the design of the space station already having been finalized. And much to everyone's surprise, Chairman Rose also announced that Macro Cosmos has already started the manufacturing process of the station. The manufacturing and deployment of the space station is projected to be completed in just two years. Some say this move repre…"
'Two years? That's a pretty optimistic of him,' Lazarus thinks as he opens the door to his fridge and grabs a carton of unfertilized Pidgey eggs along with a packet of artificial Miltank steak.
'Could Macro Cosmos have made a breakthrough in their modular construction technology? This could be huge if true. I need to buy more of their shares.'
Lazarus exits the kitchen with a plate of roasted steak and scrambled eggs in hand.
On the way to his dining room, he grabs a book from his library, which he recently started reading, titled Spectral Biology: An Anatomical Study of Ghost Pokémon by Professor Samuel Oak.
Lazarus finishes his breakfast and then navigates to the page of the book he last read.
The book provides a detailed overview of the biology of ghost pokémon.
Explains the biological mechanism behind some of them being able to turn their body invisible and intangible, and how they manipulate ectoplasm?
Forty minutes into his reading session, he gets a notification on his terminal.
DNA analysis on the subject is completed. Time taken: forty-six hours.
"Nice," Lazarus mutters, before getting up from the chair and making his way over to his bedroom.
The doors to his bedroom slide open to reveal a temperature-controlled room with matte-paneled walls, embedded with ambient lighting that shifts color based on time or mood.
At the center of the room is a huge bed, floating a few inches above the floor with the help of the magnetic levitation strips underneath it.
To the right side of the bed is a bedside table with multiple drawers.
On top of the table is an old holographic picture of Lazarus with his three deceased pokémon. Next to the hologram are four custom-made pokéballs with intricate patterns etched upon them, three of which are empty.
Lazarus walks over to the table, picks up Kamish's pokéball, and heads straight to his living room.
He presses the release button on the pokéball as he takes a seat on a Sandile leather couch, in front of which is a holographic projector.
Kamish materializes from the pokéball and looks around, surprised and bewildered by the sudden change in scenery.
The last thing he remembers is being inside the Hawke Tower incubation facility, playing with Lazarus.
"Don't panic. We are inside my home right now. You were inside this," Lazarus smiles at his Dreepy, showing him his pokéball.
Kamish is again surprised, this time at being able to understand what Lazarus is saying. He yelps excitedly and dashes to hug Lazarus's cheeks with its serpentine body.
"Yeah, I love you too, buddy," Lazarus smiles while petting his Dreepy. "I just got your DNA result. Do you want to take a look at it with me?"
Dreepy nods, not sure what 'DNA analysis' means, but curiosity is evident in its huge expressive eyes.
Lazarus opens the pokédex app on his wristcomm and clicks on the results of the DNA and Cellular analysis option.
A wall of text accompanied by an artificial voice comes out of his wristcomm, which he and Kamish listen to.
Subject: Kamish
Sex: Male
Type: Ghost, Dragon
Evolutionary Stage: First
Total Evolutionary Stages: Three
Biological Age: Thirty Minutes
Chronological Age: Fifty Hours (subject held in stasis inside the pokéball for the rest of the duration)
Parentage: DNA analysis reveals the subject's maternal parent to be a Salamence and the subject's paternal parent to be a Dragapult.
Mitochondrial Density: 4× higher than baseline for first-stage Ghost and Dragon types, indicating exceptional energy replenishment potential.
Additional analysis reveals a 90% chance that both of the subject's parents are Calamity-Class pokémon due to the amount of energy the subject's cells are capable of holding, despite the subject biologically being only thirty minu…
"Wait, what?" Lazarus has a shocked expression, "This can't be right."
Lazarus double and triple checks to make sure the information the analysis gave him is correct.
"Wow, this is unbelievable," Lazarus mutters, confirming the results.
Kamish tilts his head at Lazarus, urging him to explain.
"I think I know who your father is." Lazarus says.
Kamish looks at him in puzzlement.
"Oh, you have no idea how special you are," Lazarus chuckles before petting Kamish's small head, "Your father is the most powerful of your species. And one day you might even get to fight him. But we need to get stronger before that."
Glycogen Capacity: Subject's cellular architecture indicating an innate capability to build and sustain massive energy storage...
Kamish listens to the report with a fascinated expression. He even nods from time to time, despite not understanding a single word.
Lazarus just laughs at his antics, "You can't fool me. I know you didn't understand anything. A pokémon's intelligence, unfortunately, has limits. So sadly, you will never be able to understand this."
Kamish looks visibly sad after hearing that he will never become as smart as the person he considers his father.
Lazarus can see his newborn dragon's eyes watering up and tries to console him.
"Hey, look at me," Lazarus says as he pulls Kamish's face towards himself and looks into his pokémon's eyes, "This is not something you need to worry about. You have me. There are some things I am good at and some things you are good at. There are so many things you can do that I wish I could do.
You can fly, you can fight, and soon you will be able to turn invisible. Do you realize how amazing that is? So don't be sad because no human on this planet can do what you can. Let me take care of boring things like this, and wouldn't you rather just do the cool things? You know, like eating!"
Lazarus smiles as he reaches into his pockets and pulls out an oran berry.
And just like that, Kamish forgets all about his worries about having less than stellar cognitive potential and decides to focus on the more important things, like making sure to properly chew the berry before swallowing it.
Lazarus looks at Kamish adoringly, "Oh, by the way, we will get you a new friend today. Would you like that?"
Kamish looks at Lazarus questioningly.
"It's going to be a cute big sister for you. You can play with her. Grow strong together. Sound fun?"
Kamish's eyes brighten up as he vigorously nods at Lazarus.
Lazarus looks at Kamish's adorably silly expressions and smiles.

Lazarus sits on his living room couch with Kamish coiled around his neck, looking at the holographic projection playing in front of them.
Lazarus and Dreepy watch as a pokémon with a long translucent body and a triangular wing-like head streaks across the arena like a phantom dart, phasing in and out of the obstacles throughout the arena.
The hologram being played is a recording of the previous Galar's Champion Cup exhibition match.
Kamish had lost his mind when he saw the hologram of two huge pokémon suddenly appear in their living room.
It took Lazarus around five minutes to explain to Kamish that the pokémon are not real and only a recording. Only then did Kamish calm down.
Fighting against the Dragapult is a huge dinosaur-like pokémon with large feet, a chunky tail, a head integrated into its neck, and an exoskeleton made entirely out of a light but strong metal.
The battle is taking place in a gigantic arena, jam packed with spectators around the world.
The fight was captured entirely by the use of hundreds of small drones, working as a hive mind to capture every single moment of the two pokémon fighting, all while trying to avoid getting hit by a stray attack.
Kamish makes excited noises as he watches Leon's Dragapult phase into the ground as Archaludon fires a Hyper Beam at it.
Kamish watches with bated breath as the beam of compressed energy hits the arena, creating a crater upon impact.
Dust and debris erupt from the impact site, and the shockwaves fling rocks towards the sky.
Kamish looks at Lazarus with a gaping mouth.
"Yes, I know. Impressive right? But one day you will be able to do it too." Lazarus says to his pokémon.
After become tangible again, Leon's Dragapult shoots to the sky and prepares to use one of its special attacks, when suddenly, Lazarus hears a notification chime coming from his watch.
Lazarus takes the call, and the voice of one of his security guards comes through. "Sir, a parcel arrived for you."
—
Lazarus places a metal case on top of his dining table and presses his thumbs to the fingerprint scanner.
The case opens to reveal a pokéball inside.
The ball is custom-made, pure white, with a beautiful snow-crystal design etched upon it.
Kamish awaits the new pokémon with excitement, flying around the room in circles, making squealing noises.
Lazarus picks up the pokéball and releases the pokémon inside.
With a beam of red light, a small quadrupedal fox with snowy white fur comes out of the pokéball.
The fox has blue paws, and on top of her head are curly white bangs, along with six white, fluffy curly tails.
