The ginormous boar that stood behind the group had emitted off such a strong aura that even those oblivious to the boar behind them knew instantly.
As if didn't matter if they were kean on their surroundings or not. With one thing standing true for the entire group.
All of their instincts screamed fo them to run away without looking back. This sensation almost overloaded people's minds.
While even Alex who seemed to be calm in almost every situation was terrified. Yet this fear did not come from the bears size or aura, but instead the characteristics of the boar.
As the beast behind them had the normal feautures of the boar's, while also tusks that protruded from its mouth.
Except these were no normal tusks, instead their was obvious gales surrrojnding the tusks. It seemed like the wind was almost trying to protect the boar.
This was not if though, with Alex also noticing a detail that most had missed. It was the small brownish red hairs standing straight up on th boar.
Yet unlike normal fur these hairs danced in the wind that encompassed the boar. Dancing elegantly while occasionally flickering.
The boars fur was not made of hair, but instead tiny flames. Each flame individually threatening to burn anything that came near it.
This had terrified Alex because of his new discovery. That the higher a realm of an abomination the more abilities it has.
This meant that the boar that was most likely a realm two beast. While their was also a very high chance that it was also at stage two.
Alex suddenly had flashbacks to his fights against the terrifying spider. Alex had long thought that he feared the spider no more.
Except the threat that seemed to be on its level reminded Alex of every reason he had feared the spider.
While he also realized that he had only fought the spider in his own mind. His home ground per say, while if he had fought the spider in the real world their was a slim chance he'd make it out alive.
Now knowing the true strength of realm two creatures Alex was utterly and completely fearful of his impending fight.
Alex even knew that their was no escape to his battle with the horrifying boar.
This was all because Alex couldn't even escape from a normal boar. This boar though was on a completely different level.
(By the way normal in this context means relative to the continent, and will mean that unless otherwise said:).
All of these thoughts happened in less then a second. Before mass chaos erupted and people's instincts kicked in.
As the entirety of the non trained survivors ran away unable to control their fear. Only the hunters that followed Alex, and the gatherers that followed Lyra stayed.
Alex quickly glanced around to take note of his surroundings. Yet Alex was extremely confused by the whereabouts of Lyra.
Alex could not find her anywhere, even checking the people that were running in fear. Yet no matter where Alex looked she couldn't be found.
Alex wanted to ponder her whereabouts and try and find here, but a larger problem arose when the large boar let out a deafening roar.
The roar had been sound loud and oppressive that those who were running away from the boar suddenly fainted, as they dropped like flies slamming into the ground.
Alex looked back to see every single ma and woman who had ran away passed out laying on the ground.
Alex was about to turn around to scream at the remaining fighters when every fiber of his body screamed for him to move form his position.
Listening to this overwhelming feeling Alex dived to the left. While he watched as a blurry image flew past him.
Alex got up to see his attacker, and just as he thought it was the boar. Except to Alex's glee the boar was turned around.
Using this window of opportunity yelled at the fighters.
"Everyone disperse, we have to fight together but not clumped up, the person if charges at will be the bait and the rest attack."
Hearing Alex's command the fighters quickly dispersed, leaving even room between eachother, but never behind another person.
Goddamnit where the hell is Lyra. I really need her strength right now, especially against this terrifying monster.
While Alex was thinking the boar had. Already turned around and was charging toward another fighter. Before the boar could reach them the fighter had jumped out of its way.
All according to the plan.
Alex then charged toward the boar expecting it to immediately stop. Yet it didn't, instead the boar continued on its rampage.
Once it had stopped it was way out of the reaches of the fighters. As the boar proved their plan to be utterly useless and naive.
All not according to plan.
Now Alex just needed to come up with a plan that included the boars after charge. Once again while brainstorming the boar had already begun raging toward another person.
Except this time the boar's charge was quicker then last times. This speed increase was not just a small boost but instead making the boar's movements almost invisible.
The man the boar was targeting had dodged according to the boars new speed. Yet it wasn't enough, as on its charge by the boar made contact with the mans leg.
The man screamed in agony as Alex watched as the impact from the boar had shattered his leg. As disgust of the unnatural position of the leg filled Alex's head.
Although he was able to stay cool minded, as he ordered. Another person to grab the injured man and run in the directing the others had been running.
Luckily for Alex and the injured man the boar decided to ignore their flee. It instead charged at a woman directly in front of a tree.
The woman was evidently scared as she momentarily froze. Yet her instincts forced her body to jump and dive out of the path of the rampaging boar.
After dodging the boar was heading straight for the tree, the trees that had also been enhanced by the strange properties of the continent.
Alex watched closely, trying to glean any weaknesses from its impending crash. What Alex and the others did not expect was to boar to not stop.
As the boar charged with violent force into the tree, shattering it like it was nothing more than plastic. Alec was utterly socked by the brute force the boar had displayed.
With many plans Alex had formulated rendering useless against the boars outrageous strength. Although one plan remained.
It might have been the stupidest, the boldest, and the one that relied on a ton of luck, but it was there best shot to defeat the boar.
So Alex grabbed the man closest to him and explained his plan. While the man was dumbstruck by its simplicity he complied.
Alex then ran to two nearby trees, while he made the other man stand to the side of on elf the trees, while he stood on the opposite tree.
They were both grasping onto Alex's whip. With Alex's brilliant plan being to make a trip wire to cut one of the legs of the boar off.
Although Alex wanted to use his katana he knew the whip was his only weapon on the same level of the boar. Now all Alex and his buddy needed to do was wait.
Alex was going to wait patiently into one of the fighters dodged the charge of the boar and led it straight to their trap.
Except this was not going to come fast, as Alex watched the boar charge at one person to another. Yet it still had not targeted the man in front of their trap.
Alex waited and waited watching the boar propel itself forward time and time again. Then it happened, as the boar lined up directly toward their trap.
Alex pulled the whip tightly as he braced for impact. Then in a flash the boar was already extremely close to the man in front of the trap.
Luckily the man was able to dodge in time and the boar was still charging at full speed to the trap. It then hit the trap with full force.
Its tough skin resisted the cutting presence of the whip while the two objects holding the whip were sent flying. With these two objects being Alex and the other man.
Alex came crashing onto the ground where immense pain radiated through his body. Alex let out a groan before standing up in disappointment and fear.
Except to his complete surprise the boar was missing one of its front legs. His plan had been semi successful, proving extremely useful.
Alex knew even without a leg the boar would still be a formidable opponent. Despite Alex's worry for the next charge that would be driven by rage it never came.
Alex watched as a gust of wind picked up the boars leg and the boar ran away. Knowing it had already been injured and didn't have an obvious gain the boar had ran away.
Alex surprised and overjoyed by this started to relax while he ran to the group of unconscious survivors. Once there Alex searched and searched for Lyra.
Despite their differences in the past Alex had grown softer to her. He was extremely worried about her, with her disappearance before the boars attack raising concerns for him.
Alex then felt a tapping on his left shoulder, he turned around to see who it was. While the mysterious culprit was the one he was searching for.
"Looking for me?"
Alex looked Lyra in the eyes, noticing her playful mood and happy attitude.
"Yes, you just ditched us during that fight!"
"Actually I was hiding in the trees above you waiting for an opportunity to strike, except I never actually got it."
Lyra sad that last part in an embarrassed whisper, while Alex on the other hand understood her reason for disappearance, although he was still mad.
"Well you could've came down and helped after you knew you wouldn't get an opening."
Alex had calmed down a bit, but he was still going to Reprimand Lyra. Lyra instead crossed her arms and puffed out her cheeks in defiance.
"Well we need to wake up all these people anyway."
Lyra had masterfully changed the subject, while Alex couldn't argue because he didn't know if the boar was going to come back or not.
While Alex and Lyra then started to wake all those that had been knocked unconscious by the boars aura.
