Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: lucky we found you

"Fifteen years after Mr H was born, living within the walls of a government training school, there remains boy stolen from his parents like so many before him, Yet saved by our Great Government. He claims he will become the greatest Among us all. However as it stands the greatest is going to make us late"

Livia's Hand struck Helios Across the face with enough force to-

"Ahhh!"

Helios Lunched from his bed, instantly falling into a fighting stance. His eyes adjusted to the light surrounding him as his mind slowly began to wake, The he was able to notice who stood before him

"Livia... why have you broken into my dorm yet again?"

Levia rolled her eyes as she sighed, Looking Helios directly in the eyes with a mixture of disappointment and disbelief, Helios continued squinting, still trying to force himself awake.

"Firstly, I don't 'break in'. "I phased through the door" Levia replied.

"That is still breaking in, even if you didn't 'break' anything" Helios interrupted

Livia's expression dropped into frustration. She turned around, reaching for the door handle and twisting it. Just before leaving, she glanced back.

"Maybe you should check your clock, Mr. Ungrateful."

She stepped out of the room.

"Congrats on learning how to use a door," Helios called after her.

His eyes slowly wandered towards the clock.

9:00

Helios' heart sank, a single thought crossing his mind.

" Cetos going to kill me."

His eyes quickly darted around his room, desperately searching for any loose clean clothes.

"ughhh... my training clothes".

With no other choice. Helios quickly grabbed them and put them on.

Helios burst out of his dorm, Heart hammering against his ribs, expecting the corridor to be empty.

It was not

A wall of apathetic black-eyed suits stood waiting. Government officials. Inspectors. Their eyes held no pity. Not because he was a teenager running late, But because the promise was breaking

A Body leaned down to Helios, lowering its mouth to His ear, warm breathe invaded Helios neck.

"Why would we pick you for a mission when you can't even show up for class?" the mouth whispered.

"How would they feel about this?" a second voice hissed pressing against other side, pointing uncannily upward toward the unseen leaders

"You know what we get to do if you're late," a third added, stepping closer. The circle tightened. The air grew thin. Helios looked up toward the roof before the world faded.

(Vision starts)

He was strapped to a medical chair. His arms were bound. His legs were bound. His eyes darted to his arm as a cluster of razor-sharp needles pierced his skin, yearning for bl—

(Vision Ends)

Helios gasped, returning to the light. The suits smiled, as if he were fresh prey. Feeling smaller than ever, he saw a gap in the wall of flesh and blood—a sliver of freedom near the railing.

He couldn't think. He could barely breathe.

Helios's arm reaching , his hands began clawing through the suits to reach the gap, each new set of shoulders farther than the last, The sliver became a river. Helios launched himself over the railing.

SWOOSH..

For a brief moment, Helios felt the meaning of freedom, Quickly reality set in he was spiralling through the air soon to be crashing down into the courtyard below

THUD.

Helios remained There on the ground for a few moments, slowly rolling over, His hands were still trembling.

"You really need to work on your landing," Livia giggled Standing over him.

"I think I know that," Helios replied, his voice distant. He could still feel the needles . The bonds still confiding him.

Livia's expression shifted, reaching out her hand, whispering now. "I saw the suits coming to your room after I left. Was everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything was fine," Helios said, Dusting himself off, Then rubbing his head "I had the vision again. This... alternate version of our lives. It's so much more terrifying every time"

You should really speak to Ceto," Livia said, her tone calm but concerned. "These visions you're seeing are becoming more frequent. Could be a training intensity issue."

Levia leaned closer, rising onto her tiptoes, fully extending her arm towards Helios shirt. her fingers barley reaching the tag, as she pulls it closer as she examined it with a look of disbelief.

"Anyway I think this is supposed to be inside, not outside."

Helios' face flushed with embarrassment.

" Anyway... lessons time"

Levia looked back at him for a brief moment before simply turning away and walking down the corridor, leaving Helios standing there Alone.

BA-DUM

Helios grabs his chest, Before his eyes blur, He can hear a people mumbling. "Hands are red, Heart is white" Helios Looks down at his hands covered in red, before seeing his arms the same as befo-.

Helios looks at his hands before letting out a sigh, grabbing the bottom of his shirt and quickly pulled it around the correct way before sprinting down the hallway towards the classroom.

Helios stumbles into the classroom, one hand rubbing his temple, his steps more erratic then usual. The corridor. The suits . The needles. The messages with out meaning, violently erupting with in his subconscious.

Struggling towards his seat, Ceto voice silenced his mind, nether sharp or angary.. just tired.

"Helios. How many time do we need to cover this, you need to be on time." Ceto stood at the white board, Arms crossed, Yet his face showed compassion and care not irritation or frustration. " I need you in my lessons. Your vital for this team. you know this"

Helios Still rubbing his temples, wheezing slightly. "I'm sorry sir" He hesitated, catching his breathe. "is it... is it okay if we talk about this after the lesson? Its quite worrying"

Ceto took a second, studying Helios actions. the air grew stale. Something flickered behind his eyes... Concern possibly even recognition.

" After the lesson" Ceto said quietly filled with concern mixed with suspicion

Helios nodded, laying his head on the side

Livia, a seat over, Glanced at him. Her expression drowned in worry. She mouthed: You okay?

Helios forced a small smile and nodded.

Ceto turned back to the class. "Today we will not be doing physical training or battle practice. This is because tomorrow you will undergo your power assessment."

In His peripheral vision, Ceto sees Helios still phased out, Dread fills his gut, he can feeling something is not correct

"In fact today lesson will kept short-" Ceto began to announced before being interrupted by an irritated voice

"Short? Is this because lateness over there cant handle a headache, my lesson is removed due to his Charade" Drakon kisses his teeth towards Helios

"Drakon, A headache could effect us all in different ways. Yet you conscient on undermining and belittling your peer, For all you know he could have a health issue. For this reason, Your Behaviour has caused me to withdraw my previous statement. You and Livia shall undergo a pre-examination protocol" Ceto looked at the two students before continuing "Today lesson was going to be short, As I was going to plant your expectations for the power ranking assessment and whom you shall be facing. I would recommend paying attention in the pre-examination protocol, If you do not your placement in this facility could be revoked"

Livia Eyes now glue on Drakon by nothing but rage

"Why cant you just shut your mouth, always needing to be so megalomaniac"

" megalomaniac, why would I act in such pathetic ways . I do not need to fool myself, The evidence proves my superiority" Drakon calmly replies

Ceto now more irritated than clocks his index finger with his thumb before-

A deafening gunshot sounding crack, whistles through the air. grabbing the attention of both Livia and Drakon, their eyes move yet body remained frozen, Ceto desk shattered into one thousand pieces.

"Remember you are lucky ones, We found you, fixed you let you learn form us, Just for you to sit here and fight between each other. now exist this room at once, if I dare to hear another peep form either of you" Ceto looked towards the door.

Livia and Drakon both gulped in fear, their minds knowing what to do, yet the bodies did not.

"I said leave , everyone leave everyone but Helios" Ceto said more calmly yet still precise.

This time both Livia and Drakon got up and left, yet during all the Helios as remained unphased, unbothered, Ceto knew something has not just distracted Helios yet disturbed him.

As The door Clicked shut behind Livia and Drakon. Ceto slowly made his away over to Helios, Helios hands still trembling, his Mind stuck in a continuous spiral, Ceto gently places his hand on Helios right shoulder.

Helios jolts back, struggling to gather his breath. Ceto leaning in closer than before, His expression was soft. Concerned, reaching his hand over towards Helios

"You've been distant," Ceto said quietly. "For weeks now. Is everything okay, Helios?"

Helios looked up towards Him, relief washed over his face, For a moment, Then he hesitated. Then the words Rushed out of his mouth
