Chalreth looked at Eufrien after hearing his short response about the situation. She kept her eyes fixed on his face for a long time, letting the quietness of the small street surround us. The silence stretched between them as the cool evening wind blew gently through the narrow lane, moving the small pieces of dirt on the stone floor. She seemed to be thinking about his words, processing the fact that the first hero was standing directly before her in this town. After a long moment of staring at him, Chalreth just sighed. She let out a heavy breath from her mouth, showing that she understood how complicated things were without needing a deep explanation right now. The sound of her sigh was soft and clear in the quiet air. She moved her shoulders down slightly as she finished her breath, relaxing her posture as she prepared to make a new suggestion for our group.
She looked at each of us one more time to make sure we were all paying attention to her. Then, Chalreth spoke to us to change our location so we could have a better place to talk. She opened her mouth and said, "Let's go to a nearby coffee store and let's continue talking there." Her voice was friendly and clear, making it easy for all of us to understand her simple plan. She wanted to move away from the open street so we could sit down together in a comfortable environment. We all nodded our heads to show that we agreed with her excellent idea.
We started moving our feet right away to follow her suggestion. We walked a few minutes down the quiet stone path, turning away from the corner where we had first bumped into each other. The walk was very peaceful and simple as we guided our bodies through the turning lanes of the town. We lifted our feet one after the other, moving past several closed wooden houses and small shops that were dark. The ground beneath our boots was flat and solid, making a regular clicking sound as we moved along together in a small line. Eufrien walked with steady steps, keeping his eyes on the path ahead, while Alea stayed close to my side as we followed Chalreth. The minutes passed quickly as we navigated the simple streets of the neighborhood, enjoying the quiet movement after the loud event at the bar. We did not encounter any other townspeople during this short walk, which made it very easy for us to stay together without getting separated in the dark lanes.
After walking through the streets for a short time, we arrived at the store. The building was neat and had a small wooden door with a clean glass window on the front side. A warm, yellow light was shining from inside the shop, making the entrance look very inviting to our tired bodies. We stopped our feet in front of the structure, and Chalreth reached out her hand to push the door open for us. We stepped through the open frame one by one, leaving the cool evening air behind as we entered the warm room. The shop smelled like fresh coffee beans and sweet bread, which made us feel very comfortable right away. We looked around the clean space to find a good spot where we could talk without any interruptions from other people.
The shop was not crowded, so we easily found a large wooden table located in a quiet corner near the back window. We walked over to the spot and we sat there. I pulled out a wooden chair and sat down slowly, feeling the relief in my legs after walking around the town for so long. Alea took the seat right next to me, placing her hands on the clean surface of the table. Eufrien sat down across from us, leaning his back against the chair while looking very calm. Chalreth sat down in the remaining chair, facing our group directly so she could hear everything we had to say. We adjusted our positions to make sure we were completely comfortable for the long conversation ahead. The wooden table was solid, and the room was very peaceful, providing the perfect environment for our group to discuss the important task that the kings had given us back at the castle.
Once we were all settled in our seats, we began to share the details of our mission with the current hero. We sat there and explained to her everything that she needs to know. We spoke clearly and simply, telling her about the command from King Elfhonse and King Nishighi regarding the upcoming journey. We informed her about the trouble caused by the otherworlder and why it was absolutely necessary for the current hero to join our forces to protect the people. We did not mention any complicated history or confusing power systems, keeping our explanation strictly focused on the immediate facts of the task. We told her about the group of people we had waiting for us and how our combined strength would give us a real chance to succeed. Chalreth listened to every single word with great attention, nodding her head to show she understood the importance of the situation. We spent a long time covering all the necessary points, ensuring she know exactly what to expect when we returned to the castle grounds.
The time went by very quickly as we continued our long conversation inside the warm shop. After a few hours we left the store. The sun had completely gone down by the time we finished talking, and the sky outside was now dark and filled with small shining stars. We stood up from our wooden chairs, walked across the floor, and pushed the front door open to step back onto the stone street. The night air felt cool against our skin after spending so many hours inside the warm building. We gathered together on the pavement just outside the entrance, ready to begin our journey back to the castle with our new companion. The street was very quiet and empty at this late hour.
We needed our transportation to start the trip, so Eufrien took a step forward to call the animal we had left near the town entrance. Eufrien whistled to signal the large animal through the quiet air. He made a sharp, loud sound using his mouth, which echoed clearly down the empty stone streets of the town. The sound traveled far into the darkness, carrying the message to the horse. We waited patiently on the road for a few moments, listening to the silence of the night. Very soon, we heard the familiar sound of heavy hooves clicking against the stone floor in the distance. Our horse arrived, moving at a steady jog until it stopped perfectly right in front of our group. The strong animal looked rested and ready to run across the long dirt roads once again.
Chalreth watched the horse arrive, but she did not need to share the seat with us because she had her own special way to travel across the land. Chalreth just summoned her spirit to create her own transportation for the journey. She stood firmly on the stone street, closed her eyes for a brief second, and focused her energy inward. Suddenly a Pink energy spirit Wyvern appeared right next to her body in the middle of the road. The magnificent creature was made completely of bright pink energy that glowed softly in the darkness of the night. It had large wings and a long tail, looking incredibly strong and fast as it hovered just above the ground. The appearance of the spirit did not make any loud noise, but the pink light illuminated the entire street around us, casting a warm color on the wooden walls of the nearby buildings.
She looked at the glowing creature with a satisfied expression on her face. Chalreth rode it, lifting her body up easily and settling onto the back of the pink energy being. She sat firmly on the spirit wyvern, holding herself steady as the creature hovered in the air. She looked down at our group from her high position and said, "I'll follow you."
Eufrien went to the front of the large horse to guide us. He grabbed the leather reins tightly to guide our path. Alea went at his back to sit in the middle section of the saddle. I climbed up last, so I'm on her back to stay safe. I held onto her frame tightly as we prepared to leave the place. The horse started running after Eufrien slightly moved the rope to signal the strong animal. It moved its powerful legs very quickly across the dark ground of the road. Chalreth followed our fast movement through the cool night air without losing any of her speed. She stayed right behind us on her glowing pink wyvern as we all traveled forward together now.
