Ava's Pov:
I woke up feeling sore in an unusually lovable way.
"Did I wake you, princess?"
Leon turned to face me while buttoning his shirt. I was never going to get used to how sexy he was.
"You didn't."
"Are you okay?"
"Amazing."
He smiled and faced the mirror again.
"Going to work already?"
"You don't want me to?"
"You know I don't."
He walked over to me. "Believe me, I don't want to be there either," he said, kissing me. "But I have to."
"Why? I thought you loved going to work."
"I used to, until I started getting questioned every five minutes."
"Oh." I dropped my shoulders.
"No, don't do that."
"Do what?"
"The whole sad thing. I promised you we'd get through this. I know it's taking a lot of time but we will."
"I know. I feel bad?"
"Because a group of insecure and jobless people is saying false things about you?"
