Leon's Pov:
I was already tired of the meeting, and it hadn't even been that long.
Everyone kept talking like the missing file was the end of the world. I understood why they were concerned, but dragging it out wasn't going to magically fix anything. I had already given instructions. There was nothing else to say.
I leaned forward slightly, placing both hands on the table.
"Alright," I said, cutting through the quiet murmurs. "We've said everything that needs to be said. Lock down access, run the checks, and get back to me when you have something solid. There's no point sitting here and repeating ourselves."
A few of them nodded. Others still looked uneasy, but no one argued.
I was just about to stand up when the door opened.
Emily walked in, slightly out of breath, which immediately caught my attention. She never looked like that.
"Sir—sorry to interrupt."
I frowned. "What is it?"
She glanced around the room, then back at me.
"There's been another attempt."
