"come in." Chloe said while busy trying to break the encrypted files in her computer.
She did learn little of hacking, enough to understand the files were important secrets she kept in her computer as a backup.
Her desire to know the past became strong. She didn't want to keep asking questions about what her family members consisted of, or whether they were on good terms or not.
She would only trust what she wrote herself, rather than what she was told.
'If I rely on their version, I'll only get the version that keeps me quiet.'
The door creaked open as the person who knocked entered.
She felt the edge of the bed sink.
"Shoot it," she said when she didn't hear a sound after the person entered.
Her head was still not raised, but she knew who it might be.
The only person who, despite her anger, remained calm, Cassen.
'He never barges. He never wastes words. If he's here, it's important.'
"What is he?" Cassen sighed.
