Chapter 180 - I've Got This Sorted

As his words fell, Heisenberg released his grip and let Clark crawl back up, howling in agony.

While Clark was pulling himself together, Heisenberg surveyed his surroundings. His icy gaze sent every single person standing across from him prickling with goosebumps.

"When it comes to pain, Clark isn't the only one who's sorely lacking. All of you are!

Because truth be told, no matter how much combat experience you have, you simply don't have enough experience getting hurt.

Princess of the Amazons, a demigod's body—who could possibly make you feel sufficient pain? Only Ares?

Princess of Atlantis, doted on by your father and your people since you were a child—have you ever even bled?

Cyborg, I'm not too worried about you. A football player doesn't lack for fatigue and collisions.

But has anyone ever broken your arm? Since acquiring your new body, have you ever encountered an environment qualified enough to make this body of yours malfunction?

Arthur, what about you? You've been running around the streets, always proud of your own strength, but have you ever had a near-death experience?

And as for the last one..."

Heisenberg looked at Clark. At this point, Superman had just pulled his hand away from his eye socket. His eyeball was bloodshot, the color as ghastly red as when he unleashed his heat vision.

At the same time, Clark reached out and grabbed his left pinky, wrenched it hard with a snarl, and forcibly snapped the finger back into place.

As Clark recovered, Heisenberg extended his right hand and grasped at the empty air.

In the blink of an eye, boundless sunlight cascaded from the heavens above. The Amazonian arena was instantly flooded with radiance, as dazzling as the realm of the gods.

Under the influence of this light, everyone felt their stamina continuously recovering, their bodies brimming with renewed strength.

Clark especially felt it—his dislocated pinky healed rapidly, and even his eyeball instantly reverted to its original state.

"My light now blankets this place. As long as you're not pulverized into dust on the spot, no matter how severe your injuries, you'll recover in a very short time!"

At this, Heisenberg gave a cold laugh. He extended his right hand toward the group and drew his palm fiercely across his own neck.

"I won't hold back. Try your best to survive my attacks!"

Whoosh!!!

The moment Heisenberg finished speaking, Clark launched into the air. He soared past everyone and swung his fist straight at Heisenberg.

When Heisenberg likewise threw a punch at him, Clark fiercely widened his eyes. His heat vision slammed into Heisenberg's chest at a speed far exceeding his own body's.

Heisenberg's movement stuttered from the impact. The instant he stumbled, Clark was already right in front of him.

Boom!!!

A fist crashed into Heisenberg's face, forcing his head back slightly.

Before he could dodge, the heat vision struck again. Clark unleashed his heat vision while raining blow after blow onto Heisenberg.

His movements were exactly like Heisenberg's from a dozen seconds ago!

Facing the relentless onslaught of a Clark who was actually using his brain, Heisenberg smiled faintly.

Thud!!!

Heisenberg's left hand fiercely caught Clark's incoming fist, while his right hand clamped down on Clark's other fist as well.

Boom!!!

A headbutt. Heisenberg's forehead cracked Clark's nose on impact.

The pain made Clark's eyes water instantly. A sharp, aching sensation shot up from the bridge of his nose straight into both eyeballs.

Heisenberg, meanwhile, casually remarked:

"Whatever you do, don't let me grab you!"

As the words fell, Heisenberg released his right hand and drove his elbow viciously into Clark's shoulder socket.

Crack!!!

With a sharp snap, Clark's right arm dislocated instantly.

Seizing the moment, Heisenberg dove straight into Clark's guard.

As he closed the distance, he let go of Clark's dislocated right arm and used both arms to lock Clark's head in a vice grip.

At the same time, sensing an energy beam incoming from his left, Heisenberg used the head he was holding to swing Clark's body around as a shield against Cyborg's blast.

Cyborg halted his attack in horror. Heisenberg then wrenched Clark's neck hard, producing a violent grinding of bone against bone.

After that, Heisenberg tossed Clark aside. As he was now, Clark absolutely wouldn't recover in two or three minutes.

His spine had been cracked!

With Clark, the biggest problem, dealt with, Heisenberg's fighting style naturally grew far more casual.

He plunged into the fray. In a mere handful of moves, Arthur—both arms broken—was hurled out of the fight.

Diana tried to resist with the Aegis Shield, but Heisenberg completely refused to attack her head-on.

Lots of hair, weak to fire. Big body, weak to doors. Shield-bearer, weak to the back. These were indisputable truths across all the heavens and myriad worlds!

Again, just a few moves. Diana immediately fled with a broken arm clutched to her chest—her hand had been severed by her own sword, no less.

Without even needing to deploy the Blades of Chaos, it took only about three minutes. Including Cyborg with broken limbs and Mera with every single finger snapped—

The Justice League was completely wiped out...

Looking at them all sitting on the ground, each nursing their own recovery, Heisenberg sighed.

His sigh made their already grim faces turn even darker.

Mera, who had never experienced anything like this, even had her eyes reddening at the edges.

But so what...

Standing before them, Heisenberg suddenly laughed. His cold chuckle rang out as he said:

"Metropolis doesn't give us room to stretch our limbs, but Themyscira absolutely can!

Starting today, hand-to-hand combat training like what you're experiencing now must be guaranteed at no less than six hours per day!

You might each think you have your own specialty tricks, but I haven't even brought out Gungnir or the Blades of Chaos yet.

I only hope that after a while, you'll at least make me fight a little longer!!!"

As his words fell, Heisenberg raised his right hand. The battered, broken surface of the entire arena suddenly smoothed flat.

After repairing the grounds, Heisenberg chuckled at the heroes before him, each wearing a different expression.

"Come, heroes who just died. Let's continue!!!"

...

Meanwhile, on the other side, inside the library, Bruce arrived at his destination under Queen Hippolyta's guidance.

Looking at the entire cavern filled with stone-carved texts before him, Bruce nodded in satisfaction.

"Thank you, Lady Hippolyta. I'll find sufficient data on Darkseid from these records.

This will significantly increase our odds of victory in the future!"

"I hope so, sir. This place is yours for the next few days.

Now, please excuse my departure!"

Hippolyta exchanged a brief pleasantry, then turned and left the library.

After she was gone, the Flash immediately grabbed the first stone tablet he could find and began examining it.

"Whoa, these are stone carvings from nearly thirty thousand years ago! What I'm holding in my hands is basically secret, hidden history!

Let me take a look at this one. A man summoning lightning to shatter a box—wait, the box split into three!

These must be the Mother Boxes. When the Mother Boxes are fused together, they gain immense power. If you separate them, they become three!

This story is really similar to the one about God, isn't it? The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, right?"

With that, the Flash casually handed the stone tablet to Bruce.

"I'll probably read faster than you, so I'll try to go through everything and then organize them into a proper sequence for you.

I don't have any big talents, but helping out with little things is no problem at all."

"It's a deal!"

Bruce nodded, casually pulled a miniature camera from his belt, and placed it in the Flash's hands.

"Photograph all the images, then arrange them directly in order.

I'll focus on screening the stone carvings and try to uncover every single clue hidden in every corner!"

"OK!!!"

The Flash nodded, grabbed the camera, and vanished. Countless bolts of electricity flickered around Bruce in an instant.

They were all afterimages of the Flash in constant motion.

Watching the Flash at work, Bruce was extremely satisfied. The kid might be a chatterbox, but when it came to serious business, he didn't waste a single second.

Definitely worth ment—

"Done!!!"

Before Bruce could even finish his thought, the Flash reappeared right beside him.

At the same time, the Flash placed the camera back in his hand.

"I took a quick look. There are nine hundred and forty-one pictorial records in total. Eight hundred and twenty of them depict battle scenes from ancient times.

I saw a lot of familiar figures in them. They must be the demigods and gods of that ancient era.

The remaining stone carvings describe Darkseid's defeat. Since the images are rather abstract, it's hard for me to identify any enemies other than Darkseid.

But fortunately, while most of the pictures are just glorifying the gods' victories, the written records devote considerable space to Darkseid.

I checked—there are forty-two written records in total. Three are stories, seven are myths, and the rest are descriptions of Darkseid's abilities and those of his subordinates.

Aside from the Parademons that are everywhere in the paintings, dying in every conceivable way, there are also many bizarrely shaped powerhouses worthy of individual documentation.

It's just unclear how many of his original team remain today.

I've already sorted them into different categories and placed them in separate folders. You can choose the order to review them however you like.

Oh, and I also categorized the stone tablets themselves. After all, my photography skills aren't great. If any clues come out blurry, you can use the sorting to find the original tablet faster for comparison!"

Having said all that, the Flash looked at Bruce with a face full of anticipation and asked excitedly:

"You should give me some new work now! What else can I do? How about I clean this place up?"

"No need!!!"

Bruce blocked the Flash's attempt to go find a broom, his face filled with shock.

He rubbed his forehead hard, then muttered weakly:

"You did great. Truly, spectacularly great!!!"

With that, Bruce swallowed hard. He didn't envy anyone's power, but he genuinely envied the Flash's downright terrifying speed of information processing.

If he had that kind of mental speed, he could get humanity out of the solar system within a year. He absolutely wasn't just saying that!

But envy was envy. Bruce would never stoop to jealousy over something like this.

He patted the Flash on the shoulder and said softly:

"You've already done more than enough. With you having finished the bulk of the work, I don't need you to provide any more help.

Go take a walk around the island, or head over to Heisenberg's side and train with them.

I'll handle the rest myself!"

"Are you sure you'll be okay on your own?"

"Of course I'm fine. Go on, go do things a kid your age should be doing. Go chat with the Amazonian girls!

Go!!!"

Bruce unceremoniously shooed the Flash out of the library.

Once Barry's figure disappeared from his sight, he finally felt much better.

If Barry had still been there, Bruce felt he might as well have been a useless idiot.

Because it seemed like as long as Barry was willing, he could finish in a single second what Bruce couldn't complete in an entire day!

That was just too demoralizing for Bruce!
