Chapter 96 - Chapter 96: Aokiji Arrives

After all, this could be said to be a sword through the brain, but don't forget, the brain is arguably the most important organ in humans, even more important than the heart and lungs.

After all, if the latter two fail, they can still be rescued, but the brain can be said to be the seat of the human soul. Luna's sword was truly ruthless.

Spandam's eyes widened at this moment. He never expected Luna to kill him? And she didn't just attack, she attacked so viciously.

He and his father were considered very important officials under the World Government, even having the ability to directly contact the Celestial Dragons. In his last moments, Spandam saw that Luna's face showed no fear or hesitation at all; her expression was only one of satisfaction and pleasure.

A lunatic, this was a female lunatic.

No wonder the Marines on Enies Lobby were so afraid earlier, and had been hesitant to act. Now he understood. Just as Luna had no fear whatsoever, only dislike and hatred, wiping out every Marine she encountered, her attitude towards the World Government was basically the same.

But in this one point, Spandam was wrong. If there really had to be a ranking, in Luna's heart, the Marines were still the most disliked, followed by the World Government.

Because sometimes, a dog that only barks and bites indiscriminately is more detestable than its owner.

With his final despair, Spandam's consciousness completely vanished, forever sinking into darkness. After Luna pulled out her energy blade, he collapsed.

This scene startled the Marines; they were all terrified. But the next moment, Luna's command plunged them into complete despair and fear.

"Kill everyone except the CP9 members. Leave no survivors."

Luna had considered this command. Rob Lucci and the other CP9 members had appeared later and were not mere cannon fodder.

She decided to let them go. As for the two giant guards deceived by the Marines, they had long known the truth and had previously fought alongside Luffy and his crew. Now they had also left with the Straw Hat Pirates, but the Going Merry was too small, so these two guys directly commandeered a warship.

The Girls, upon receiving the order, naturally obeyed their Captain's command. As Luna's crew members, given her attitude towards the Marines, they would absolutely show no mercy to them.

Swift, accurate, and ruthless—that was the approach. And with Luna being somewhat terrifying now, they might as well plunge into the slaughter immediately.

Thus, the Pink Hat Pirates began their massacre on Enies Lobby. The entire island was instantly filled with the screams of dying Marines, curses, sounds of resentment, the thud of bodies falling, and the dripping of blood.

The air was thick with the smell of blood. Bodies were piled up in the open areas of Enies Lobby, with even a few small mountains forming, though they were mountains of corpses.

It was funny, really. In the original storyline, many Marines here died in the bombardment of the Buster Call. Now, they died by the Pink Hat Pirates' close-quarters blades.

Luna considered this a favor to them. After all, dying by their hands was surely better than dying by their own people's cannon fire.

Watching the Marines being continuously slaughtered by The Girls before her, Luna had only one thought, an expressionless, ruthless thought.

If these people truly had another life, they should not become Marines.

Time passed. More and more Marine Soldiers died, and the smell of blood in the air grew thicker. The sky became completely overcast, serving as a witness to this great massacre.

After all, first the Buster Call, then Enies Lobby. This time, the Pink Hat Pirates had killed at least over 13,000 Marine Soldiers, or rather, World Government personnel.

At the same time, Luna also saw that the two giants and the Straw Hat Pirates had already disappeared over the horizon.

From beginning to end, they never turned their heads to look back. At least there was no one behind the ship.

Luna smiled, thinking this was quite good. She was presiding over a massacre that had witnesses but no direct observers.

However, at the same time, she also sensed a strong presence approaching from afar using her Observation Haki.

Luna understood that Aokiji was coming soon.

But just as she had said before, no Admiral, no matter which one, could defeat her now. If he came, he would only be beaten and tormented by her.

Not long after, The Girls stopped their killing because there was no longer a single living person on Enies Lobby; no Marine Soldiers or World Government personnel still alive, jumping around, and screaming wildly.

But at the same time, The Girls were not feeling well either. Although these Marine Soldiers, or World Government personnel, were nothing but trash in their eyes, killing these guys was as easy as a chicken eating bugs.

However, coupled with the previous battle, The Girls' physical exertion was also quite severe. Their bodies and clothes were soaked with sweat, and even the enemy's blood. The smell of blood and sweat clung to them, making their small noses and bodies very uncomfortable.

After the killing, The Girls all stood by Luna's side, but what surprised them was that Luna completely ignored them, instead constantly looking in one direction.

They immediately showed curiosity and looked in the same direction Luna was staring, and then they were stunned: it was that guy.

They saw that amidst the Buster Call fleet, which had not yet completely sunk, with smoke still rising into the sky, a path of ice emitting bone-chilling cold wind appeared between two burning warships.

A tall man, clearly a Marine by his uniform, rode a bicycle across this path.

However, as the man looked around, his face grew increasingly grim, even gritting his teeth.

Admiral Aokiji, The Girls immediately thought of the newcomer.

The Girls quickly became expressionless, because they knew Aokiji would come. Besides, this time, this guy was Luna's prey; in her eyes, he was just a mere Admiral.

Riding his bicycle personally, he used his Freeze-Freeze Fruit ability to create an ice bicycle path for himself. He quickly arrived directly facing Luna, no more than fifty meters away, in the sea in front of Enies Lobby.

"What you've done seems a bit excessive." Looking at the large number of Marine Soldiers and World Government personnel lying in pools of blood on Enies Lobby, the ground covered with corpses, Aokiji's face completely darkened, as if his own father had died.

"Oh, really? I don't feel it?" Luna didn't even look at him. She pulled out a nail file from somewhere and was filing her nails, saying with an emotionless expression.

But in reality, she was genuinely thinking: will my nails grow longer once I gain Greeza's third form power?

"You've killed too many people this time." Aokiji released a chilling aura from his entire body, saying with a stern expression, seemingly suppressing his anger.

"Not many at all. On this journey, not to mention your Marines, I've encountered many vicious pirates, reckless Bounty Hunters, and Human Traffickers who commit all sorts of evil. The number of people killed from just these three groups is more than today's total." Luna stopped filing her nails, glanced at him, and smiled disdainfully.

"Among the Marines you killed this time, do you know how many innocent people there were?" Aokiji finally couldn't hold back, roaring in anger.

At the same time, he finally made his move. He released his technique, "Two-Spike Spear," two ice spears rapidly condensed from cold air, which shot towards Luna at an extremely fast speed.

Luna scoffed again with disdain. She didn't say much, after all, her Void Greeza ability had too many instinctive reactions.

As the ice spears were about to hit her, she directly turned into nothingness. In Aokiji's horrified gaze, Luna seemed like a mere phantom that wasn't even there. The ice spears passed through her and embedded themselves into the stone wall.

"Innocent people? None, right? Enies Lobby represents the ugly face of the World Government. How many innocent people have suffered unfair treatment in this absurd place? So there are no innocent people here as you claim."

"And the Marines who can participate in a Buster Call are not good people either. Just like Ohara in the past, all the Marines who participated in the destruction of Ohara were executioners. You can't refute that, can you?"

Luna said, looking at him with an emotionless face but a hint of a cold smile at the corner of her lips, as if she were an elegant and noble queen judging a criminal.

Aokiji, just as she said, was speechless after hearing her. Because Luna was right, especially about the latter part. Compared to the scholars and some residents of Ohara back then, the Marines who participated in the Buster Call were indeed executioners.

Wait a minute, no, this time's Buster Call, what fault did the Marines have? It should all be blamed on that idiot Spandam. He shouldn't have given him the golden transponder snail in the first place.

"This Buster Call was an internal mistake of our Marines; it was my oversight. The Marines in this Buster Call are innocent, what do you say to that?"

Thinking of this, Aokiji immediately regained his confidence. He questioned her again, and the cold air around him seemed ready to erupt, threatening to unleash astonishing power.

"Heh heh, if we hadn't appeared here, would there have been a scene of mutual slaughter? The Marine side representing the Buster Call would have bombarded the Marines on Enies Lobby, not to mention that those five Vice Admirals would truly carry out and issue such an order."

Luna snorted coldly and said again. As soon as these words came out, Aokiji was once again rendered speechless.

After all, he understood Onigumo and the others; they were all hawkish Vice Admirals, iron-blooded and ruthless, who would only execute orders. They were indeed capable of doing such a thing.

Wait, Onigumo and the others.

"Where are Onigumo and the others?" The thought of the Marines potentially losing five Vice Admirals immediately made Aokiji anxious and urgent.

Luna didn't speak, but pointed her small outstretched finger towards their pirate ship. Aokiji immediately looked over and saw the five Vice Admirals, unconscious and in terrible condition, on the deck. He immediately breathed a sigh of relief, glad that they were unharmed.
