No system to help him.

No status panel to notify his progress.

No HUD to give him hints.

However, one hope remains. The knight “Crow” retains an in-game ability. By shattering objects or defeating enemy leaders, he can summon random game items as if the world itself is still a game. With a pet crow "Cow-Cow" by his side, the Crow Knight trudges through this treacherous land, armed with sarcasm, stubbornness, and a knack for minding his own business until fate decides otherwise.

Also, please do not speak in caps. He hates it.

Oh, did I forget to mention that his pet crow has three legs? What? It isn't important? Never mind, then.

With six miniature fireballs on the field, I commanded two to devour the shield bearers and archers.


The shield bearers didn't advance. They simply held formation, protecting their archers. Meanwhile, the 480 archers in the back, including my phantom, prepared another volley.


Lenitia completed her sequence first, firing twenty arrows straight at my phantom.


The phantom responded, loosing a hundred arrows. Fifty intercepted her projectiles, neutralizing them. The other fifty streaked toward her.


Again, my four fireballs absorbed the attack.


But then, 479 more arrows filled the sky. A volley from the regular archers. My fireballs tanked everything again, draining my musou energy like a leaking faucet.


This exchange wasn't in our favor. I had to contribute more.


I was about to conjure a flame bow when Lenitia roared, activating her ultimate strike. She released twenty arrows, which multiplied into two hundred.
