Chapter 246 - Chapter 246: Vice Admiral Tsuru's Probing!

"I still don't understand. What does this matter have to do with me?"

Taro was only stunned because Aramaki was actually recommended by Tokikake.

Despite his shock, he still couldn't figure out why Momousagi brought it up.

Momousagi didn't rush to answer Taro's question. Instead, she sighed softly:

"He is indeed a very powerful man!"

Beautiful woman, get to the point! I know he's strong like a monster!

"You don't seem curious about him at all?" Momousagi found Taro's reaction a bit strange.

Taro shook his head. "No, I am quite curious. But more than him, I want to know what exactly you are trying to say by bringing this up?"

"After he joins the Marines, he will be stationed in Marijoa!" Momousagi frowned slightly.

This statement made Taro even more confused. He couldn't help himself.

"Big Sis, can you just say everything at once?"

When Momousagi heard the words "Big Sis," she unsheathed her sword, "Konpira," slightly, her face etched with frost.

Taro made a move to dodge. Damn, I give up!

"Stop, I'm sorry, I was wrong. Gion, calm down, let's talk business!"

Momousagi's prominent chest rose and fell a few times as she suppressed her anger.

"He is staying because Marijoa was recently spied upon from the sky, and the Celestial Dragons feel their safety has been threatened!"

After she finished speaking, she stared intently at Taro's reaction.

Taro's heart skipped a beat, but he maintained a calm expression.

"Oh, I see. Then strengthening the defenses is certainly necessary!"

He met Momousagi's gaze, looking her straight in the eye in a casual manner.

Little girl, so you came here to probe your big brother!

The two stared at each other for a long time. Momousagi tried to detect any sign of panic or guilt in Taro's eyes, but she found nothing.

It wasn't until she noticed Taro's gaze slowly moving away from her face, tending to look downwards, and his expression becoming lewd, that she snorted angrily and slapped him.

Taro grabbed Momousagi's wrist, laughing secretly in his heart.

Little wench, trying to play mind games with your brother? I won't let you off easy!

As he thought this, his gaze swept across Momousagi's ample bosom.

"Gion, let's talk nicely, no need to get physical!"

"Tsing!"

Momousagi reversed her grip and drew Konpira fully, slashing straight down at Taro.

Taro released Momousagi's wrist, took a large step back, evaded her attack, raised both hands, and begged for mercy repeatedly.

"Stop, stop! I was wrong! I won't dare to do it again!"

Momousagi was thoroughly enraged by Taro. She glared at him fiercely for a long time before sheathing her sword, letting out a cold snort, and turning to leave.

Taro watched Momousagi's retreating figure, his eyes gradually narrowing.

Was this Momousagi probing me under the direction of Vice Admiral Tsuru?

He didn't think it was an order from the World Government, because Momousagi already knew some of his secrets, such as his connection with Robin.

Just that fact alone, if Momousagi told the World Government, would be enough to drive the World Government mad. There would be no need to confirm whether he was the one who spied on Marijoa!

It seems Garp didn't tell Vice Admiral Tsuru everything, but Vice Admiral Tsuru still grew suspicious!

What a clever Old Lady!

...Momousagi, still unable to calm her anger after leaving, took out a den den mushi.

"He didn't do that thing."

On the other end of the den den mushi, Vice Admiral Tsuru paused. Instead of addressing the matter, she sounded slightly puzzled.

"Little Sister, did that boy make you angry again?"

Momousagi felt a chill when she recalled Taro's gaze.

"He's just a pervert! I really don't understand what you value about him!"

"Hehehe," Vice Admiral Tsuru chuckled, mimicking Momousagi's tone, and comforted her, "Little Sister, he's just a rogue. Don't take him seriously!"

Momousagi grew even angrier upon hearing this. "I am telling you formally, I am absolutely certain that the look he just gave me was exactly the same as the scumbags I've seduced. He is a pervert!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru didn't know what kind of look Taro had given Momousagi, or where he had looked, but the anger in Momousagi's tone was genuine, prompting her to adopt a more serious attitude.

"Alright, the next time I see him, I'll teach him a lesson for you to vent your anger, Little Sister. Don't be mad anymore!"

Momousagi was choked with fury. "What 'next time I see him'! In the end, you still want to protect him! Don't forget, he and that woman..."

Vice Admiral Tsuru understood that Momousagi was referring to the relationship between Taro and Robin, and she also felt a headache coming on.

"Alright, Little Sister, let's not talk about that for now. Are you sure he has nothing to do with that incident?"

Momousagi took two deep breaths and nodded. "Yes, it shouldn't be related to him. You know, no man can lie in front of me, especially a pervert like him!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru was still suspicious. After pondering, she muttered to herself, "Then why did Garp hide in the East Blue? I just feel like something is wrong!"

Momousagi raised an eyebrow. "Little Garp has already retired, and the East Blue is his hometown. It's perfectly normal for him to go back. You're worrying too much!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru pondered for a long time. "Little Sister, I'm still uneasy. Stay in the Sabaody Archipelago for a few more days and help me investigate!"

"Marijoa still needs..." Momousagi got angry whenever she thought of Taro and didn't want to stay longer.

"Isn't Borsalino there? You can go back later!" Vice Admiral Tsuru interrupted Momousagi.

Momousagi's breath caught, and she snorted. "Got it! What a hassle!"

"Click!"

The den den mushi hung up. Vice Admiral Tsuru rested her chin on her hands, her gaze constantly shifting.

That senbei old man, Garp, stayed in the Sabaody Archipelago for several days. Although he worked with me to provide Taro with the conditions to head to the New World and deal with Edward Weevil, afterwards, he clearly ran back to the East Blue just to avoid me.

Those two fellows must be hiding something from me!

As she thought, Vice Admiral Tsuru rubbed her brow.

If only Hina were still the original Hina!

Alas, foolish girl!

Hina was currently riding a roller coaster with Shirahoshi. She wasn't actually fond of such things, but Shirahoshi seemed interested in everything there, even though the Mermaid Princess had already experienced it many times over the past few days.

"Hina-sama, life on land is indeed much more interesting than life under the sea!"

Shirahoshi shouted excitedly, facing the huge rush of air created by the roller coaster.

The previous Shirahoshi would never shout like this. Her good upbringing always made her mindful of her demeanor, but under Taro's leading "guidance," she had begun to enjoy the feeling of shouting into the wind.

Hina turned her head, a smile playing on her lips.

"If you get the chance in the future, you can come to G-4 Branch. Our G-4 jurisdiction has many incredible and unique islands!"

Shirahoshi was first surprised, then hesitated. "But, Hina-sama, will the people there treat me differently just because I'm a mermaid..."

Hina shook her head. "No, Shirahoshi. You are so cute and beautiful, everyone will love you!"
