Golden flames surged forward from his blade, exploding outward to meet the incoming hellfire. The two forces collided midair, divine light clashing against demonic inferno in a violent eruption that shook the cathedral.
For a moment they held. But eventually the hellflames overwhelmed him!
Like a raging ocean swallowing a spark, Duke Haborym's flames tore through Gilbert's divine fire, crushing it instantly as the emerald inferno surged forward without resistance. It slammed into his blade with devastating force, the impact bending his stance midair as the pressure drove him backward.
"Ghh—!"
Gilbert's body was forced back.
The flames dragged him through the sky like a helpless projectile, his wings straining against the force as the hellfire continued to pour forward relentlessly.
BOOOOM!!!
His back slammed into the golden walls of the cathedral.
The impact echoed violently.
