"Live?" Veris scoffed. "There is no living for anyone with that decision."
Something in Ikrus eyes made him stop talking.
Ikrus walked off, refusing to listen to him as he started searching around for Arlo.
It shouldn't be this hard to find him. Except that Veris had done something to Arlo to conceal his scent.
By the Moon, why was his friend so annoying sometimes!
He needed his son already. He needed to run back. Give him to her. See how she was doing.
He had left her side for too long.
Now that he was thinking clearly, the words he had said out of anger while he left the room would mean something entirely different to her.
Aniya was one to make brash decisions when she was frightened, she would do anything for Arlo too.
This delay in taking his son home wasn't doing anything good for either of them.
"By the Moon, where is he?!"
