The silence stretched and stretched in Cael Alexander's office as Galathea Brooks leaned into his embrace.
He wanted to wrap Galathea in his arms for as long as she needs it.
Not possessive. Not opportune.
Just-- Maintained.
This is something they both chose.

"Hmm..." Galathea hummed into his chest.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Cael asked.
"I wanna shower." She purred.
"Penthouse is yours." He murmured as he nuzzled her hair.
"Keycard?" She asked, face still buried in his chest.
"Hm... actually, your badge can unlock the door." Cael said, his low voice humming to her ears.
Pulled back to look at him, "What? Since when?"
He examined her face before he smirked, "since... six years ago."
She stared at him, "You lie."
He chuckled and pulled her back flush to his body, "You can check." He whispered and pecked on her ear before taking a small step back and winking at her.
