Chapter 226 - Cyclone

The Ultramarines' warship, the 'Voss', was not destroyed by enemy fire, but was rammed in half from the middle by a Word Bearers' warship, which kept its void shield up, causing it to explode. It was quite a brutal move.

Khor-Pharon wanted to curse when he saw this scene, but then he remembered that the Word Bearers had been harboring a sense of depression in their chests for several years. Seeing the Ultramarines' fleet today, they couldn't hold back their emotions and charged forward, which was understandable.

So Khor-Pharon could only immediately announce that all other forces should attack the Ultramarines. The Word Bearers' brats had long been unable to suppress their anger, so all units instantly charged towards the Ultramarines.

However, Khor-Pharon would not have imagined that if Kenmyo hadn't reminded him, Robert Guilliman might still have held onto the illusion that this was just an isolated act by individual Word Bearers.

The Ultramarines and Word Bearers still had a chance to shake hands and make peace.

It wasn't until Kenmyo's reminder that he was truly awakened.

When he saw the exploding sparks,

Robert Guilliman instantly broke out in a cold sweat. He had brought out all his family's assets and had to be responsible for all the Ultramarines of the U-chapter, not just himself.

"Remove all previous weapon restrictions."

"All warships, prepare for first combat!"

Although he didn't know why the person speaking in Robert Guilliman's mind used the secret whisper technique known only among Primarchs to warn him that the Word Bearers were going to harm the Ultramarines, there was no time to dwell on it in such an emergency.

Robert Guilliman, his face grim, grabbed the communicator beside him and roared at the various flagship Captains.

"Immediately attack any appearing warships!"

"I repeat."

"Immediately attack all warships appearing that are not Ultramarines!"

Robert Guilliman had not yet accepted reality, so he did not utter the name of the Legion that made him uncomfortable, but used other Legion names instead.

But it was too late. The Word Bearers unleashed their anger without reservation, and almost all their warships instantly poured out all their firepower.

However, most Word Bearers basically rammed enemy warships with their void shields active, intending to imitate the first one.

They directly split the Ultramarines' warships in half; the battle was incredibly fierce.

One can imagine how difficult it was for the Word Bearers to endure years of accumulated anger due to the Primarch's cowardice.

As a result, most Ultramarines were caught off guard by the Word Bearers' sudden attack, unable to react in time, and could only struggle to cope, suffering heavy losses.

After all this, Robert Guilliman still couldn't believe what he saw and the intelligence he heard.

Basically, a warship was sunk every minute and every second by the enemy.

Those red dots represented the disappearance of a warship, but when a signal source from a warship showed violent fluctuations, it meant it was under enemy attack.

It could be said that apart from the Macragges Honour, all other Ultramarines warships of the U-chapter were suffering devastating blows.

The Word Bearers were also seasoned veterans and naturally knew that before attacking a warship, they should first target the main guns, which are the vulnerable facilities. Once the main guns are destroyed, a warship basically loses most of its offensive capability.

"How could this happen?"

Robert Guilliman's expression was extremely pained. He had even thought about how to shake hands and make peace with his good brother Lorgar Aurelian, but reality had given him a resounding slap.

If Robert Guilliman hadn't ordered observers to constantly monitor all fleet signals, the disappearance of a single warship among a large number might not have been noticed as anything special.

"Report! Ten, no, over twenty Word Bearers' warships' signals suddenly appeared directly above Calth."

An Ultramarines' communications officer looked at the dense special red dots appearing on the screen, a drop of cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

Because at this moment, in the area outside Calth's orbital cannons, the entire Word Bearers' fleet had warped out of the Warp, filling the entire star system.

Although the number of Ultramarines' warships was also impressive, they were scattered across various corners of the entire star system, fighting independently.

Compared to the Word Bearers, who had already grasped all the Ultramarines' movements, there was no comparison between dispersed forces and a premeditated assembly.

On the Word Bearers' warship, the False Emperor, Khor-Pharon looked at the lush agricultural world before him, and the super-large battleship, the Macragges Honour, clearly visible even while hovering above the planet's surface.

Deep hatred flashed in Khor-Pharon's eyes. He would never forget that this very warship had launched an extermination strike against their perfect city.

Memories flashed in his mind of the Word Bearers kneeling and praying to the Emperor, yet the perfect city was still consumed by the surging artillery fire of the Ultramarines.

So today was the time for him to repay them in kind. Khor-Pharon directly took a row of special buttons with warning signs in red from the control room's desk.

"Today, I will also make you taste the suffering we endured back then."

Khor-Pharon said through gritted teeth.

He slammed his fist down, and the special circuit signal immediately received the order. At the same time, the Captains of other Word Bearers' warships also pressed the button in unison.

These circuit components were not connected to anything else, but rather to the launch buttons for weapons of mass destruction transferred from the destroyed Forge World.

Moreover, Word Bearers' warships possessing such weapons were not limited to just the flagship.

These warships had been mixed in with ordinary warships, each distributed across every planet in the entire star system.

The Word Bearers intended to launch devastating attacks on all planets where Ultramarines were stationed, to kill every single one of them without exception.

The Word Bearers' rage towards the Ultramarines was deeply ingrained; they wished to eat their flesh and drink their blood, so their preparations were naturally meticulous.

Kenmyo was also on this warship, but a psychic shielding platform had been specially built to prevent his psychic fluctuations from being perceived by other Psykers.

Kenmyo felt quite helpless about Robert Guilliman's performance.

The Smurfs were unlucky to have such a Papa Smurf. If it were another martial Primarch, they might have withdrawn from the star system as soon as they sensed something was wrong.

There's no way they would be like Robert Guilliman, who, knowing it was a trap, still foolishly allowed himself to be caught in a jar.

Now, that bald scoundrel Khor-Pharon is about to unleash his ultimate move.

"Bro, don't be emo, the cyclone torpedoes are coming."

Although Kenmyo couldn't see Robert Guilliman's expression at the moment, he could tell from the agitated voice coming from the other end of the phone that the guy had taken a huge blow.

He immediately decided to give him some shocking news to make him sober up even more.

You're talking about brotherhood with them? Their cyclone torpedoes are already on the way.

But the Word Bearers are truly inhumane.

This world is an agricultural world, and such an unpolluted world is quite rare in the Warhammer World.

Once the cyclone torpedoes are launched, this entire world will be incinerated completely. Not to mention the trees, even the civilians will be unable to withstand it and will be utterly destroyed.

He wants the entire star system to be buried with the Ultramarines.

Since Kenmyo had connected to the machine spirit of the False Emperor.

Why not tamper with the cyclone torpedo launch tubes a bit? Is it possible to make it explode inside the entire warship?

But apart from the high possibility of implicating Kenmyo and blowing him up as well, it's possible he couldn't do anything about it in this regard.

What are cyclone torpedoes? They are primary large-scale explosive shells used for extermination orders, capable of incinerating all life on an entire planet's surface with just one. They are subject to the highest level of strict control by the Imperium.

They are equivalent to Kenmyo's super nuclear bombs, absolute strategic weapons.

The manufacturing of cyclone torpedoes is handled by the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars and a special encrypted channel within the Imperium.

As for why the Forge World originally controlled by Kenmyo stored so many cyclone torpedoes of various yields.

That's because the positioning of that Forge World is very special, similar to a transit station, responsible for all warship manufacturing and weapon manufacturing in this entire star system.

It is the regional general agent for this area, and everyone in this area has to get their goods from this general agent. It is a very large-scale Forge World.

In other words, the Inquisitor that Kenmyo simulated last time also had to procure supplies from such a Forge World.

First, one must apply for permission from the Imperial side, and then the Forge World will deliver the corresponding extermination weapons.

Therefore, the Forge World of Kenmyo's original body stored a considerable amount of cyclone torpedoes, bi-polar cyclone torpedoes, and even the most dangerous plague missiles.

The decryption and encryption of the internal system are completely different matters, and even the launch command cannot be recalled.

If a Tech-Priest with innate talent alone could tamper with the launch key and other programs of a cyclone torpedo.

Then the Imperium might have cyclone torpedoes flying around every three days, and perhaps the Imperial capital would also be ablaze.

After all, the launch of cyclone torpedoes already has many anti-misoperation switches, and being able to launch them means they have already received approval from the commander.

All Kenmyo could do was offer a simple warning.

But even a simple warning could save quite a few lives.

The Gloriana-class void shield below is famously tough; once the entire warship's shield is deployed, even the destructive power of a cyclone torpedo cannot tear its hull surface, not even a single screw.

The Ultramarines suffered today's tribulation 90% because of the dereliction of duty of their commander, Robert Guilliman.

That guy had no clear understanding of the Word Bearers or his brother Lorgar Aurelian; everything was Robert Guilliman's subjective judgment.

He believed there was still a possibility of reconciliation between the two Legions, but in reality, it was already irreversible.

Kenmyo watched the cyclone torpedoes slowly fly towards the planet and couldn't help but think.

It was also the first time Kenmyo had seen so many planets under attack.

The traitors' attacks were far more ruthless than Kenmyo's previous actions. For planets with sufficiently large surface areas, one cyclone torpedo wasn't enough; two had to be deployed.

As for why that bald scoundrel Khor-Pharon didn't launch more cyclone torpedoes at the Macragges Honour to vent his anger.

The reason is simple: if all the Ultramarines died, how would the Word Bearers hunt?

Naturally, they would leave a team and some prey for these avengers to hunt.

Killing them personally and severing their heads is the primary method for the Word Bearers to vent their anger by eliminating all their enemies.

However, there's a reason why the cyclone torpedoes dropped unimpeded to the planet's surface without any obstruction from close-range anti-air weapons.

The False Emperor effortlessly destroyed Calth's planetary defense system, paralyzing all anti-air defenses with just a few lines of data code.

Kenmyo had also witnessed Chaos forces attacking planets; some planets had incredibly fierce anti-air firepower, capable of destroying even Chaos warships.

These few lines of data code paralyzed the entire star system's defenses, and their origin was very special, coming from the forces of Chaos.

Kenmyo temporarily didn't know which of the Four Great Powers the code originated from, or if it was developed by one of their Relatives.

But this timeline shouldn't have ascended yet, right? Which genius joined Chaos so early and began serving them?

These Trojan viruses could easily breach the Imperial computer's firewall and directly replace internal programs.

A rampant Trojan virus could paralyze an entire planet in just a few seconds, which is an incredibly terrifying thing.

In Kenmyo's view, the harm of such a Trojan virus was even greater than the destructive power of a single cyclone torpedo on a planet.

Unfortunately, Kenmyo couldn't access the programming code; it was definitely a groundbreaking Trojan virus, representing the highest level of Chaos electronic virus craftsmanship.

This level of electronic virus would also be very beneficial for Kenmyo's future Simulations.

"Hmm? What the hell, are they going to land?"

Kenmyo suddenly felt the False Emperor battleship shaking slightly, preparing to descend towards Calth, which had turned into a sea of fire.

"Crazy, they're suicidal."

"It's at least tens of thousands of degrees Celsius down there."

Moreover, the Warp fluctuations were very strong; it seemed some demons from the forces of Chaos had already landed on Calth.
