Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18—THE FOUNDATION OF DUST

The grand doors of the Fragrant Treasure Hall didn't just open; they disintegrated. A wave of cerulean Qi, cold and vast as a winter flood, swept through the lobby. Two figures stepped through the billowing dust—the Shui Ancestors.

They were Foundation Establishment cultivators, the undisputed sovereigns of the valley. Their presence forced every rogue cultivator and merchant to their knees, their lungs burning under the weight of the Ancestors' auras.

"You dare pin a scion of the Shui like a common beast?" the elder on the left roared.

Lin Fei didn't flinch. He stood amidst the storm of blue Qi, his white hair barely stirring. He wasn't relying on a shield of Qi; he was relying on the hidden power of the Saint Demonic Dragon Body.

THE ANATOMY OF A MONSTER

To the onlookers, Lin Fei's 4th-stage cultivation was a lie. In the world of Body Cultivation, levels are deceptive. Thanks to his Dao Dragon Physique, Lin Fei's muscle density and bone hardness were no longer mortal. His physical strength didn't come from his meridians—it came from every cell of his body, which had been tempered by the essence of a Soul Transformation Behemoth.

"Foundation Establishment," Lin Fei mused, his voice steady. "You think your Qi makes you a god? To me, you are just soft flesh and brittle bones."

"Die!" The second Ancestor lunged, throwing a Great Azure Palm—a manifestation of Qi thirty feet wide.

Lin Fei didn't counter with a technique. He simply stepped forward and met the massive palm with a raw, physical punch.

BOOM.

The crowd watched in horror as the Qi palm shattered against Lin Fei's fist. There was no explosion of energy—just the sound of a hammer hitting an eggshell. Lin Fei didn't use a single drop of external Qi; he used the monstrous physical power of a Yao Beast.

THE WHITE DRAGON AWAKENING

As the Ancestors recoiled, Lin Fei allowed his secret art to circulate at full speed.

"This is the difference between us," Lin Fei whispered.

A searing, ancient heat erupted from his right arm. But instead of turning dark, the skin grew even more brilliant. From beneath his jade-like flesh, luminous white scales emerged, shimmering with a cold, divine silver light. His fingers elongated into claws of pale bone-white, and his forearm thickened with raw, draconic muscle.

It was beautiful, alien, and utterly terrifying. No one in the hall had ever seen such a transformation; it wasn't a technique from any known sect in the region.

"Together!" the Ancestors screamed. Both drew high-grade spirit swords, striking with their full power.

Lin Fei reached out with his white-scaled hand and caught both blades with his bare fingers.

SCREECH.

The spirit swords, capable of slicing through iron, groaned and bent. The frost Qi touched his white scales and was instantly neutralized by his overwhelming physical heat.

"You have the 'Level' of Foundation," Lin Fei whispered, his white eyes now glowing with a terrifying golden light. "But I have the Physicality of a Sovereign."

With a sudden, violent twist of his white claw, the two spirit swords shattered into a thousand fragments.

THE TERROR OF THE ANCESTORS

The Hall was deathly silent. The two Ancestors stumbled back, their eyes wide with a fear that transcended simple defeat. They looked at their broken hilts, then at the monster with white hair and white scales standing before them.

"What... what are you?" the lead Ancestor stammered, his voice high and thin. He felt his own Foundation cracking—not from a physical hit, but from the sheer psychological weight of Lin Fei's presence. "No 4th-stage junior should exist like this! You aren't human!"

The Ancestors began to tremble. They realized that if Lin Fei truly wanted them dead, they would already be piles of broken bone. This wasn't a fight; it was a Sovereign showing mercy to insects.

THE UNKNOWN BEAST

"He's a Body Cultivator..." one old merchant whispered, his voice cracking. "But those white scales... I've never seen that art. Not in the Violet Cloud Sect, not in the Iron Blood Hall. It's like a Ancient Yao King has been reborn in human form!"

"The Lin family's son-in-law is a monster," a spy muttered, backing away toward the exit. "We must tell the Sect Master. This is an unknown variable. A 4th-stage boy who crushes Foundations with his bare hands... the world is going to change."

Lin Fei stepped forward, his white claw shimmering. He looked at the two Ancestors, who were now paralyzed with terror.

"The Lin family is no longer a target," Lin Fei said, his voice echoing through the entire market square. "From this day forth, it is a forbidden zone."

He turned to the trembling Qingxue, his white-scaled hand slowly returning to its jade-like human form as he suppressed the awakening.

"Let's go," he said calmly. "The scale is mine. We have what we came for."

With the Shui Ancestors terrified and the "White Scaled Monster" the talk of the market, the news will reach the ears of the Great Sects.
