Bella opened her eyes slowly, Mark sat on her bed his palm on her head, She pushed him aside and made for the glass of water beside her bed, After taking greedy drinks from the cup, She sighed.
Her Dark eyes stared at Mark in a daze, the room felt like a furnace, She was starled as something cold touched her neck, She jumped and spotted Sarah with a piece of long metal rod and quite the amount of dirt and small bits of metal on her bed, She didn't even look up from what she was doing.
The Room Smelt oddly of Berries and Lilac, It was uncommon but sometimes Sarah do use perfume, And it always clashes with Bella's style, She prefers a more Sharp and Intense spray rather than the calm nature of Berries and Lilac.
"So? How did the spirit taming go? Sorry I had to interfare, But I doubt anyone would have survived in a room with that much heat, Mark brushed her hair Aside and felt her forehead, it was incredibly hot.
"Can I get more water? I've got a terrible ache you'd think I was run over by a horse, Bella muttered rubbing her forehead with her fingers.
Mark walked out of the room after that, Bella's eyes roamed around the pink walls of her room, the books on a heap beside her table, Sarah had stolen them from the palace Library a while ago, she read some on the night they shared a room and had never touched them ever since, Bella had a feeling she had read all when she was busy.
Her eyes fell on Sarah, Who was concentrated Piecing together yet again another Creation of hers, Bella flinched as Sarah's blue eyes were now on her, She had forgotten Sarah usually had black hair and equally dark eyes, They've seen her so long with her new blue hair it's almost natural. But seeing as her face peeled Infront of her cause of the Spirit she couldn't help but be startled.
"What? Sarah asked, Tossing a broken piece of metal smeered in a black thick substance across the room, it smeered on Bella's pink wall, She stared at the black stuff with disgust.
"Sarah, What really happened, I know I shouldn't have asked this long ago, but shouldn't you be looking for a way to go back to normal? I mean, Your blue hair and Sharp dentistry combined with those dark circles and frown makes you look I don't know, Scary, Bella Scratched her ear nervously.
"I thought you said I looked good with Blue hair, Sarah said focusing on what she was doing.
"Yeah I did I remember that, But-
"I know, I know, So far nothing seems to work, Sarah sighed," I've tried all I could think of, it think it's etched into my DNA now or Maybe I just haven't found the solution.
"What's a DNA? Bella asked thoughtfully.
"Don't worry it'll make sense in the future, Sarah gathered all her tools that left black stains all over her bed and carpet, she stood up warpped everything in a Cloth and slung it across her shoulder with a grunt, her legs was wobbling as she hoisted the stuff out the room, Bella laughed, She had momentarily forgotten that despite Sarah's look and things she does she's weaker than your average 13 year old.
Bella stared at the opened door, She was feeling worse than ever, what is happening? She thought. She stopped as she heard yells in the hallway, it was Mark, She jumped out of her bed and out her door to see Sarah's blue hair disappear down the hallway, Mark was looking extremely harassed and dumbfounded, He seemed to be carrying a tray of Milk, Water and Crumbs?
"Sorry, he mumbled approaching Bella, Sarah stole the cakes. Bella laughed hard for a while and couldn't stop herself from falling, she kept on laughed.
"Oh I see what's going on, Andrew's voice sounded in the hallway, Both siblings turned to see Andrew looked battered and unkept like he just fought an extremely angry cat, in his grip clutched tightly with both hands was a struggling Sarah, She could speak her mouthand hands were full of Everything that was supposed to be on the tray, She stared at them with a mean expression on her face.
"Hand over the treats, Andrew demanded.
"Safe point, Sarah yelled, She was gone instantly from Andrew's grip, he fell from loss of balance," Since when can she teleport? Andrew asked looking bewildered.
"It's some cubes she has, Bella laughed.
"Wait she can really teleport? Mark asked in astonishment," but you'd need high-level magic for that.
Bella grabbed a tray of Milk still infected with the case of the giggles, she chugged it down," It's some cubes she made, I charged it though, It's kind of like an artifacts for teleporting, except it ignores most magical rules.
"Well ain't that Interesting, Andrew sighed, trying invain to get dirt of his clothes,"Mark call your mermaid off, I don't like her around me, Andrew said distractedly.
"It's not my fault if she likes you, Mark grinned," Hell who knows a spirit and a noble who knows what kind of Kids they'll have.
"Ha ha, Andrew mocked, Seriously though call her off, she's giving me the creeps.
"Wait you can see Marks Spirit? Where? And why does Andrew know about it? Weren't you keeping it a secret?Bella looked around at the empty hallway for anything remotely unnatural.
"I don't think you'd like to see it, Mark laughed, She only shows herself to those she likes, besides I never said it was a secret, But I didn't tell Andrew over here, she made herself known to him. I mean it'll be hard for our big head of an elder brother not to notice a massive mermaid following me around everywhere.
"I want to see, Bella said excitedly," show her to me.
"Mernia, She's not dangerous, Mark takes to the air. Bella watched excitedly hopping from foot to foot,"Just do it,and leave Andrew alone, apperantly he doesn't want to have fish kids, Mark grinned.
"Hey, Andrew said frowning.
"So? Bella asked cutting them off, Is she going to reveal herself?
"She already did, Mark sighed, Don't be startled and look behind yo-. Bella had already turned back before Mark could complete his statement, She now understood while Andrew felt uneasy.
The mermaid was as large as the hallway itself, It's large ocean blue eyes stared at Bella's face, Her black hair bigger then their Manor's curtain, She looked pretty but at the same time, Bella stepped back a little, she was massive enough to swallow her whole if she wanted, It smiled at her, Bella saw sharp rows of teeth for a few seconds before it disappeared under her mouth.
Mark approached slowly," Don't be scared it won't-
"Pls tell me I'll be able to touch her, Bella squealed, Mark was taken aback.
"Aren't you terrified? Mark asked softly.
"Are you kidding? She looks like an overgrown Sarah, except with black hair and a tail, I've never even seen a mermaid in books with a black tail, And unlike my Stupid demon of a spirit, she smiled, Bella was overjoyed, Pls tell me I can touch her.
"Unfortunately no, Mark sighed with a soft smile, the tray on his hand almost fell and he had to balance himself to prevent that," they're spirits for a reason, only their master can touch them, He placed one hand on the face of the mermaid who closed her eyes enjoying his patting.
Andrew felt as if huge cold water had been dumped on him. Bella tired touching the mermaid and fell right through," no fair,she pouted.
"What about you spirit? seeing as you're awake and well , I'd assume you manage to tame it, Why don't you try summoning it, Mark suggest.
"Wait Bella's got one too, Andrew stared looking bewildered," Just great.
Bella made an annoyed clicking sound with her tongue,"I fucking hate that thing, she looked to the side, besides I doubt it'll respond, I fell asleep in the middle of our conversation.
"Just call it's name,I'm sure it'll respond, Mark suggested. Bella looked harassed," Do I have to?
Mark gave her a knowing look, She sighed," fineeeeeee.
"Iggy get out here!, Bella muttered lazily, nothing happened, Oh fire demon child girl, I summon you, She continued sarcastically, Nothing happened.
"See I told you she wouldn't respond, Bella said disgruntled.
"You didn't really try, Mark smiled.
Bella rolled her eyes," Iggy! Here now!,She barked, there was nothing for a while. A bead of sweat dropped from Mark's forehead, Andrew felt it too, the hallway was getting hot and Incredibly fast. Mernia rose high, making her look like a dark snake, A red crack appeared on the air, Mernia pulled Mark upwards, Andrew backed away, he was drenched in sweat now, The crack widened into a large red portal, Mernia hissed, Mark tired calming her down. A small girl of about 3ft floated from the portal, her burning red hair longer than her entire height, her eyes were shut and her mouth with her usual Scrowl, Her red skin glowing.
"That thing is Dangerous, Mernia told Mark telepathically, Extremely.
"I can tell, Mark muttered from Above, It's energy is strong, Stronger than when that immense Magic took Sarah, No, it has a stronger energy than Mum.
Iggy opened her eyes, She fell to the floor Immediately, losing her flight,"What is it? She rounded on Bella," I was trying to nap.
"Do you want to be a popsicle, Bella barked back at her.
Bella I don't think you should talk to her like that, Andrew said cautiously, Mark nodded.
"Why? She's tamed isn't she? Bella asked confused, Iggy meet My Brothers Andrew and Mark, She pointed upwards towards Mark who was still in the clutches of Mernia.
Iggy had a look of utmost horror on her face as she stared at Mernia up above, She darted behind Bella yelling," Water!
"Didn't you say you wanted to talk to your kind, Bella grinned.
"I didn't know she'd be a walking Ocean, Iggy snapped back.
"I'm sure you'd be fine, Bella said picking up Iggy and tossing her towards the mermaid, Mernia retreated down the hallway Instantly, leaving Iggy to fall back into Bella's out stretched arms.
"You almost killed me you walking Pencil, Iggy barked.
"What did you just call me, Bella swung her like dirty clothes.
"Um Bella, Usually Spirit can only be seen by anyone except the user until they choose to show themselves and most times they can't Interfare with the real world on their own, But, We can see your from the get go and look at the carpet, Bella and Iggy looked down, two holes where Iggy had stood were etched on the carpet." She's physically manifested, Andrew continued.
"Is that bad? Bella asked.
"I don't know, Mark continued," Mernia doesn't know either, which makes what ever that thing is a wildcard.
"How can you call this Child a wildcard, Bella carried Iggy up by her armpit, Iggy looked extremely sour like a cat forced to take a bath, Her eyes suddenly lit up as she struggled out of Bella's grip, She ran towards Andrew who panicked and fell.
Iggy stared at Andrew for a long time, he felt the immense heat radiating from her," You're really good looking, She smiled," Too bad you're not my hostel, She stared at Bella with dissatisfaction, Walking pencil, She clicked her tongue.
"Wait you can talk to me? And not telepathically? Andrew looked stunned.
"Have anyone ever told you, you attract spirits like moths to a flame, Iggy said slowly, Honestly, I would have loved to hug you but unlike pencil over there, She said with disgust, you don't look fire resistant.
"A kid shouldn't be saying stuff that, Bella scoffed grabbing her by her long burning hair, She hissed and tried fighting back, but failing miserably, her small arms and legs could only swing helplessly above ground.
"That hurts, Iggy barked,"You Horse dung.
"What a foul mouth you got, Bella swung her with her hair like how you'd swing a stone tied to the end of a string.
Andrew looked at the footprint of burnt carpet and sighed,"I don't possess any spirit so how come I attract them, He said to himself. Mark flopped beside him and Mernia hover above both of them still staring suspiciously at Iggy.
"Cause you're bound to make Spirit babies, Mark joked.
"You all are Clogging the hallway, Sarah sighed as she walked past," Open the windows for god's sake it's a furnace in here, He parted the windows open as she went, She passed Bella and was moving towards her room when Andrew called her suddenly stricken by an idea.
"Sarah a question if you please, He began, Sarah stared at him with a questioning look.
"What is it? She replied.
"I just wanted to check something,"Can you see the child in Bella's arm? Andrew asked. Sarah was silent for a while then stared at Bella.
"Well if you're talking about the red kid, the yes, She said simply then walked away.
Iggy struggled and But Bella in the arm to get away from her,Bella cursed and let go of her. She fell on the carpet it immediately caught fire, Mernia cooled it down, Iggy raced after Sarah, Slowly she grew taller, blue hair sprouted from her head, A white lab coat appeared on her body, Soon they were two Sarah walking down the hallway.
Sarah stopped and stared at the clone for a while, it's red eyes stared back at her.
"If I touch you am I going to be charred? Sarah asked and immediately started walking away, Iggy followed her still looking like Sarah.
"I don't know, You'll only know if you try, Iggy smiled.
"I'd rather not, Sarah said coldly opening her room and getting in, Iggy followed her.
The siblings stood for a while wondering what just happened.
" Oh yeah I forgot she could do that, Bella said her hand on her chin.
"Shouldn't we follow them? Andrew asked.
The siblings and Mernia peeked into Sarah's room, it was in complete disarray as usual, Sarah was piling lots of things on her bed, different coloured liquid, mana stones, Alamandites, Lightening rods, the almost fixed golden ball and a few other things.
Iggy was pacing around the room, Jumping on Sarah's bed and touching anything she seems Interested in, So far nothing caught fire.
"Seeing as You don't set things on fire when you're copying someone is a good thing, Sarah said without looking up, Are you strong? She asked Iggy still jumping on her bed.
"I'm basically you, just with my personality and mindset, Iggy laughed bouncing up and down.
Help me carry this, Sarah said pointing at the stiff she had arranged, She picked up half of it and proceeded outside the room, ignoring Her siblings, Sarah couldn't see Mernia so she couldn't react to it, Iggy carried the rest and followed her out the room.
After they have gotten far away from the Manor and proceeding towards Sarah's lab she asked.
"You're not going to kill me and try to take my place are you? Sarah asked setting the stuff down once they were deep inside the garden.
"Why would I want to kill you? Besides I can't take your place even if I wanted to, first of I can only copy your appearance though not entirely like as you can see my eyes are red unlike your blue. Also I can't copy the mind, I'd never be as smart as you or have your personality that'll be a giveaway, Iggy said smiling.
"So you're not going to burn me alive once I turn my back? Sarah stared Indifferently at Iggy.
"I'm not a villian, Iggy scoffed," it's too much work trying to be bad, I've had enough of that after tormenting your sisters dreams for a while.
Sarah's new lab was made of wood, clean sturdy wood unlike the shabby already falling apart once she had before, The lab was neater than before, Maybe owing to the fact that most of her stuffs were confiscated, Sarah opened the door of the lab and went in, Iggy followed.
"You still have about a month before going to your sch right? Sarah asked, Taking her usual small container and tossing some sweets into her mouth.
"Yh, I'm exhausted as is, I've been dragged to more formal meetings than even my father, Carl sighed. Iggy perked up her ears and came closer to Sarah.
Sarah walked around talking to Carl tapping pipes that hissed and brought out hot fumes, Iggy stared curiously at the Container that contained Sarah's sweets, Sarah snatched the container from her grasp, Tossed a single blue pill Towards Iggy, she caught it and placed it in her mouth, Sarah stared with amusement as Iggy started coughing and choking, She noticed the inside of Iggy's mouth and tongue was bright red, Clearly her internal components had melted the candy.
"Are you with someone? Is it your sister, Carl asked curiously.
"No, Sarah sighed," I don't even know what it is, but it's taken my shape for some reason, I think it's a demon though or a spirit.
"Shouldn't you be more cautious around it then? I mean you don't sound like you're struggling with it, Carl suggested over the pea.
"It's fine, Sarah looked away from Iggy," She doesn't pose a threat at least she says she doesn't.
"Are you really Sarah? That's too trusting of you, Carl laughed.
"Of course it's me, Sarah mouthed," besides if it keeps following me there's nothing I can do about it, besides I think I'll be able to kill it if it comes down to it. At This Iggy stared wide eyed at Sarah.
"Sure sure, Just hope you don't get possesed or something- Lia back off, Carl yelled over the pea, Go back to sleep.
"Get away from my brother blue hair, Lia barked angrily.
"Whose that? Iggy spoke up clearly forgotten that Sarah had said she could kill her just a second ago.
Sarah turned away, Iggy followed,"You're talking to that vegetable aren't you, Iggy said Interested, I want to try.
"Is that the demon talking? She sounds just like a kid, Carl said.
"Yeah I think she is a kid, Sarah sighed, at least she looked like one when I saw her earlier.
"I'm not a demon, I'm a spirit, Iggy scoffed making an expression with Sarah's face Sarah didn't know she had.
"Yeah I think she's the spirit that had been tormenting Bella's sleep, Sarah concluded.
"She tamed her already? That was fast, Carl sounded impressed.
"Carl are you an expert on spirits? Sarah asked sitting on her table her legs and boots dangled.
"No, but my mother is, She has quite the number of them, Carl's voice was strained and he seemed to be struggling no doubt it's Lia.
"Say Carl, I have Zero magical energy and naturally I can't perceive half the things going on in the magic realm including spirits, but for some reason I can see this one, would you know why is that? She asked, there was no response for a while.
"Say Sarah, You said the Spirit looks like you right? Carl voice came across as startled.
Sarah looked around quickly, Iggy was nowhere to be found,"Yeah why?
"She's at my house, Carl concluded.
