'Dosu. So, he didn't die to Garra this time.'
Kakashi hummed, his mind searching for what he was supposed to remember.
'Hmmm, oh, the Kazekage.'
At that thought, Kakashi disappeared in a flicker of lightning. After making a few swift jumps, he appeared in front of the downed reanimated Kazekage, whose arms and legs were only now starting to regenerate.
'So, my haki has the same sort of effect as the truth-seeking orbs.'
"About time."
Rasa grumbled, wanting to be free of this corpse and move on, or at least be able to move around.
Crouching, Kakashi placed his right palm on Rasa's chest, closing his eyes to concentrate, trying to imagine the flow of his haki outside of his palm.
A soft glow enveloped Kakashi's hand a few moments later, an unsteady flow, but it was good enough for what he wished to try.
Using his observation, Kakashi searched deeper, concentrated on Rasa's being, or what most would call the soul. Bringing his hand back, Kakashi's palm struck where the trapped soul resided in the corpse, ejecting Rasa's soul from the body it didn't belong, allowing him to be free and fade naturally.
'That was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.'
Kakashi sat down, letting out a tired breath. After a moment, he glanced over at the corpse of a random Sound ninja that he didn't recognize. As he sat, Kakashi expanded his senses and relaxed a bit, feeling that the older Ino-Shika-Cho were clearing out the remnants of the Sand/Sound invasion, while Tsume Inazuka and Anbu members cut through the disorganized enemies.
'Sasuke and Naruto are near Garra, but they're out of the village. Jiraiya took the warning seriously.'
Kakashi stood after a minute, flickering towards the chunin exams arena.
- Chunin Exam Arena -
Spinning, Gai kicked an attacking Sound ninja unconscious and embedded him into a wall, landing and making a 'bring it on' motion with his right hand to three jonin, giving his opponents a bright smile.
Guy appeared to blur to the charging Jonin, appearing under them, the leading Jonin being sent into the air with a kick to the bottom of his chin.
Palms on the floor, Gai spun like a top, legs moving like whips, and kicking the other two away harshly.
Pushing off the ground, Gai launched up to the height of the first Jonin he had kicked into the air, spinning vertically before slamming his heel into the Jonin's stomach, the Jonin slamming into the ground with a violent and loud thump, body too damaged to do nothing much else but breathe, but even that was a task.
Landing gracefully, Gai looked to the others he kicked away, disappointed to see them knocked out.
'These are Jonin?'
"It would seem you've got things handled here."
Gai spun around with his usual smile at the familiar voice, seeing Kakashi leaning against a railing before blinking at his state.
"What happened to you?"
Gai was very concerned for his friend, but he wouldn't cause a fuss right now, seeing as he was fine enough to stand and seemed not to be heavily injured.
"Maaa, a reunion."
Kakashi waved it off, looking to the barrier.
"Gai, join me, let's go deal with that barrier and Orochimaru. Don't hold back, use the gates once the barrier falls."
Gai nodded, completely serious as he followed Kakashi to the rooftop, not even thinking to question how Kakashi planned to open the barrier.
Ignoring the Anbu, Kakashi walked up to the two-headed Sound ninja, Sakon. Lifting his headband, Kakashi pushed more chakra into his eye and let it morph into the Mangekyo. Sakon felt that he was in danger, but he decided to trust the barrier to protect him from any attacks.
'Kamui!'
Space distorted, warping around Sakon's head before it was ripped from his shoulders and pulled into the center of the vortex, the barrier falling without him there to hold up his side, the others holding the barrier leaping back into a deep forest that Hashirama created earlier.
"Gai!"
Gai gritted his teeth before a wave of green aura wafted from his skin like flames.
"Gate of Closing, open!"
Gai was gone in a blink, blurring past the two Hokage as Jiraiya seemed to have them handled.
Letting Gai do what he does best, Kakashi flickered to Jiraiya's side.
"Who do you want me to fight?"
Jiraiya shrugged.
"They're not strong individually, but quite annoying together. I've almost sealed both of them, but the one would swoop in and save the other."
"I'll take Tobirama. Your main affinities are fire and earth; it should be easy now that you have the space and time to summon a toad."
Kakashi stepped forward, sword appearing in his right hand with a 'poof' before he broke out in a sprint.
Going through the summoning seals, Jiraiya summoned a medium-sized toad to support his fire with oil.
"Gama"
The toad understood, cheeks purring before he shot out a large ball of oil, Jiraiya having just finished the last seal to a fire jutsu.
'Fire style:Toad Oil Bomb!'
The blast of fire slammed into the Wood-style dome that Hashirama rose.
Leaping, Kakashi swung his blade at a compressed blast of water, slicing it in half, and quickly went through hand seals with his left hand.
'Wind style: Spiraling Tornado.'
The blast of wind slammed into a large water wall, water pulled from the air itself to form.
Landing next to the wall of water, Kakashi jumped back at the familiar sizzling sound of exploding tags.
*Booom,boom,boom.boom*
Tilting his head, a kunai whistled by Kakashi's left ear.
Feeling the warning from his observation, Kakashi swung his blade behind his back to block a kunai stab to the back. Kunai and blade met, and sparks flew.
Keeping the blade there as he spun and used his left hand to palm strike Tobirama's hand, forcing him to drop the kunai, twisting his wrist, blade slashing down diagonally at the disarmed Hokage.
With a flash, Tobirama was gone before the blade could cleave him from his left shoulder to right hip, appearing on a couch over the kunai that he was forced to drop, two hand seals summoning a large water dragon.
Unable to dodge, Kakashi applied chakra to his feet and used his haki to cover his whole body in haki right as the large dragon clamped onto his chest.
Tobirama held the jutsu, his vision obscured by the large water dragon, when a metallic hand burst through the jutsu and grabbed him by the face, a wave of silver lightning spreading from the hand on his face and throughout his body, causing him to feel pain despite his reanimated body.
Slashing Tobirama's chest open, Kakashi grabbed the tag restricting him and yanked it out, destroying it with a manipulation of fire chakra, watching awareness come to his eyes.
"Lord Second."
Kakashi said respectfully.
"Hiruzen has you and that other white-haired man around, and he's still the Hokage? That fool."
Tobirama glanced briefly at Kakashi before he looked to see his elder brother bound in a swamp and toad's tongue.
Kakashi walked over alongside Tobirama, watching as Tobirama casually ripped out the tag from Hashirama.
"You can let him go; he's no longer under Orochimaru's control."
Jiraiya nodded at Kakashi's words, letting the Hokage go.
Walking out of the swamp like it was water, Hashirama laughed good naturedly.
"Wow, I sure am weak right now."
"We both are, you idiot."
Tobirama rolled his eyes.
"Was there really a need to call me an idiot?"
Hashirma asked, looking like a kicked puppy.
"I said what I said, now stop that, you're a grown man, not a child."
Tobirama was completely unaffected by his brother's puppy eyes.
"I take that back, you're a child, a man-child."
Hashirama slouched, face sullen and defeated, only a couple of seconds away from drawing circles on the tile roof with his finger.
"So mean."
"Maa, I hate to interject, but the Hokage is still fighting Orochimaru."
Kakashi interjected, Hashirama sending Kakashi a discreet thumbs up, thankful to be saved from his brother's sharp tongue.
"Right. let's go save little Saru!"
Hashirama jumped off into the woods he had conjured while under control.

Hashirama and Tobirama are significantly weaker in part one of Naruto. Just wanted to remind everyone of that fact. Had Hashirama been summoned at full power or close to it, then Orochimaru would have been screwed before he could have released him. Hope you enjoy the chapter.
