Chapter 75 - Filth·Geno VS Filth·Dullahan

"Buzz!"

The Dullahan was greatly startled, completely bewildered by Geno's appearance. In its daze, it forcefully took a sword strike from Geno right into its body.

Fortunately, the Filth power it had absorbed wasn't for show. Turbid red energy rose again, rapidly repairing the Dullahan's body, while its freed sword and shield smashed violently toward Geno.

Seeing this, Geno immediately tried to pull out his sword, but it was clamped tight by the Dullahan's body, motionless.

It was too late to change moves now. Helpless, he could only abandon the great sword and extend his hands to the sides to block the sword and shield.

But because of this, Geno was now in a state where his center was wide open.

The Dullahan naturally didn't let this opportunity slip. A halo of light condensed within its Core, and then a laser-like beam of Filth energy sprayed toward Geno's chest.

That was precisely where Geno's Core was located.

"Holy sh*t! You old schemer!"

Geno never expected this guy to actually have such a move up its sleeve, and he was hit on the spot due to his carelessness.

With a bang, Geno was knocked back by the laser and slammed into the wall behind him, kicking up clouds of dust.

The Dullahan didn't hesitate at all. Without even removing the great sword from its body, it pounced toward Geno's position, the arm blade on its right hand glinting with a cold light as it stabbed violently at Geno.

"He~tui!"

A strange sound came from the smoke. The Dullahan subconsciously canceled its attack motion and instead raised its shield in front of itself.

However, what it hadn't expected was that what came out of the smoke... was actually a gob of spit?!

That gob of spit landed impartially right on the Dullahan's shield, appearing so ironic. At this moment, the Dullahan felt like it was living as a clown, being teased by Geno like a fool.

Instantly, the energy in its Core surged, preparing to continue the attack on Geno.

However, Geno wouldn't give it a second chance.

The teleportation skill activated again. He appeared abruptly in front of the Dullahan, and then Geno condensed a large hammer in front of himself.

Swinging his arms in a full circle, he hammered down onto the hilt of the giant sword stuck inside the Dullahan's body.

Great force works miracles.

With a clanging sound, the sword blade that had been clamped dead by the Dullahan was driven by this force to completely pierce through the Dullahan's body, flying out from the other side.

The Dullahan itself was also carried backward by this force into a stumble, causing its footing to become unstable.

Seeing this opportunity, Geno immediately used the inertia of the large hammer to spin around and smashed it toward the Dullahan's head.

If this hit landed, the curtain would be thoroughly drawn on this battle.

However, would it really go so smoothly?

Just a moment before the large hammer was about to hit, the Dullahan swung its left arm's large shield toward Geno. Its right arm followed the momentum to cut off its own left hand at the root, and the large shield connected to its left arm flew out toward Geno.

'What?!'

He hadn't expected the Dullahan to be so ruthless to itself, actually cruel enough to sever its own arm.

But even though Geno knew the opponent's intent, he couldn't react to it.

The inertia of the large hammer meant he couldn't change his direction at all. He could only watch as he was hit by the shield, his trajectory forcibly altered, grazing past the top of the Dullahan's head.

Immediately after, the Dullahan's arm blade, corrupted by Filth, slashed with the momentum, leaving two trench-like wounds on Geno's body and knocking him back.

This scene was seen clearly by Twiggy and the others not far away.

"This is bad! Geno! Let's go help!"

Seeing Geno hit by the Dullahan, Nicole anxiously wanted to rush over to help, but was stopped by Twiggy.

"Calm down. Going over there now will only make you a burden. Do you see that turbid red Filth? You'll collapse on the ground within two seconds of rushing to their side."

Hearing Twiggy's words, Nicole fell silent.

Indeed, not only would they be unable to help, but they would also become burdens.

But to just watch Geno get beaten like this while they could only look on from the side—how could Nicole and the others accept that?

"Twiggy, are you okay?"

Anby looked at Twiggy with worried eyes. Although Twiggy was the one stopping Nicole, Anby knew that Twiggy's own feelings must not be pleasant either.

Just as she thought, Twiggy's feelings at this moment were a mix of five flavors; the feeling of wanting to help but not knowing how was truly extremely detestable.

She clenched her fists unconsciously, not even realizing her fingernails were digging into her flesh.

"Look! There's a reversal!"

Sharp-eyed Billy saw a situation emerge from the rising dust that exceeded everyone's expectations.

They saw Geno, who was originally forced back and injured by the Dullahan, standing there unharmed, and he had even suppressed the Dullahan.

In the split second he was knocked back, Geno had cast his teleportation skill again and swapped positions with the large hammer.

So, aside from the initial slash he took, all of the Dullahan's subsequent attacks had hit the hammer.

That large hammer condensed from Ether crystals had now shattered into pieces and dissipated.

"Luckily, I'm a cut above, but this guy... is a real ruthless character."

Ethereals also have a sense of pain; as an Ethereal, Geno could attest to this. It was just that most Ethereals didn't care about that pain.

However, this Dullahan was different. It obviously possessed higher intelligence than other Ethereals, and once there is intelligence, the instinct for survival naturally appears.

Abandoning an arm is absolutely not something that can be done easily.

Yet this ruthless figure didn't hesitate in the slightest.

"It seems I still have much to learn."

This determination to be so cruel to oneself, this resolve of 'succeed or die trying', were all things Geno had learned in this battle.

"As repayment, I'll give you a quick end! Take this!"

Re-condensing the cross-sword, facing the Dullahan who only had one arm blade left, Geno did not relax his vigilance. He charged toward the Dullahan with one hundred and twenty percent resolve.

Even a lion uses its full strength to fight a rabbit; he absolutely could not give the Dullahan any more chances to counterattack.

The two sides were about to collide. The Dullahan held its blade horizontally in front, preparing for a fight to the death, but its constantly flickering Ether Core proved that its current state was not very good.

With a ding! Weapons clashed. The Dullahan's arm blade was snapped in half by Geno's cross-sword.

And the cross-sword, its momentum undiminished, slashed toward the Dullahan's chest.

Finally, this battle that determined the survival of Sixth Street finally came to a close.

Looking at the Dullahan lying on the ground, its Core flickering constantly as it still thought of struggling to get up, Geno walked forward and fiercely stabbed the cross-sword into its body, pinning it to the ground.

The Dullahan, with both arms severed, couldn't stand up at all. It could only squirm on the ground like a stranded fish.

Having done this, Geno paid it no more mind. He walked to the side and absorbed the Filth energy that had scattered from the two of them into his own body.
