Chapter 236 - Chapter 236

They still remembered the first time they had seen Professor McGonagall this angry, which was when Amanda had recounted her past.

Just like now, Professor McGonagall had been so angry that she had cursed directly in front of the students.

Walking along the road, Fred and George were uncharacteristically acting like big brothers, flanking Ginny on both sides and comforting her in low voices.

"Don't worry too much, little Ginny. Dad is already at St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, so he'll be fine."

"That's right. You heard what Amanda said; she was the one who arranged for Dad to be taken to St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries."

"Exactly. Things Amanda handles usually don't have any surprises." Ron also lowered his voice, comforting his sister as well as themselves.

Amanda followed behind the Weasleys, watching their slightly trembling hands, and spoke with a calm, reassuring voice.

"Mr. Weasley is not in life-threatening danger. He just needs to rest for a while, so you don't need to worry too much."

"Thank you, Senior Lin Yue. How many times have you saved our family now?"

Ginny turned to look at Amanda, her eyes shining with the most sincere gratitude.

"You're welcome. Helping others within my capabilities is what I should do."

"Besides, you are my friends. Isn't it only natural to help friends?"

Amanda smiled gently and turned to signal Harry, who was walking on the other side. "Also, you should thank Harry more. It was his dream that gave me the initial warning, which allowed me to know that something might happen at the Department of Mysteries and to arrange for people to guard there in advance."

Hearing Amanda's words and facing the thanks from Ron and Ginny, Harry hurriedly waved his hands.

"No, no, no. Ron, you know, I didn't do anything. Amanda was the one handling everything. I just, I just had a dream and relayed it."

"Having those dreams is also very hard." Ron shook his head. He knew all too well where those dreams came from.

If it were him, he would probably wish for those dreams to stay as far away from him as possible, yet Harry had those dreams every single day.

"But Harry," Fred frowned, looking down at his junior with a worried expression, "what is going on with your dreams? Why can you see Dad being attacked?"

Anyone with a sharp eye could tell something was wrong. They weren't doubting Harry, but rather worrying if Voldemort had done something to him.

After all, it was the giant snake beside Voldemort that had attacked their father.

Thinking of the "little problem" he had, Harry shrugged indifferently. "It's nothing, just a small issue."

There was no need to broadcast this further. Everyone didn't need to know that much, and they didn't need to worry about him.

As long as everyone was alive in the end, that was enough.

As for himself, Harry adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose. If Death wanted to take him, so be it, but no matter what, he would drag Voldemort with him!

Following Professor McGonagall to her office, she took down the flowerpot placed on the fireplace, which was filled with floo powder.

"You should all know how to use floo powder. Just shout 'St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries', and make sure your pronunciation is clear."

After giving a few simple instructions, Professor McGonagall handed the floo powder to the Young Wizards. Fred and George took the lead, followed by Ron, Ginny, Hermione, and Amanda, with Harry remaining for last.

Stepping steadily out of the fireplace and moving aside, Amanda turned slightly a few seconds later to catch Harry, who had burst out and was about to lose his balance.

"You should really practice using floo powder more often in the future."

Hermione stepped forward to support him from the other side, and not until Harry had readjusted his glasses did she and Amanda let go.

"I think I might never get used to floo powder."

Harry shook his head. He couldn't help it; when using floo powder, he felt like the whole world was spinning, and he couldn't stand steady the moment he came out.

"Alright, all of you, follow me closely."

Professor McGonagall stepped out of the fireplace and led the Young Wizards quickly from the fireplace to the front desk of St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

"We are here to see Arthur Weasley."

A female voice, serious yet tinged with concern, rang out. The nurse sitting at the front desk instinctively stood up the moment she looked up and saw Professor McGonagall.

"Professor McGonagall?! Good evening."

"Good evening, Ms. Alice." Professor McGonagall nodded.

"Mr. Weasley is on the fifth floor. Please take the elevator over there; it's Ward 503." Alice gestured to the right. Professor McGonagall nodded slightly and led Amanda and the others toward the right.

Arriving in front of the elevator, Professor McGonagall looked at it for a moment, thinking, and then, following her own understanding, pressed the upward arrow.

"When did St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries install this thing?"

She muttered to herself, seemingly unable to understand how those stubborn people at the Ministry of Magic had agreed to let Muggle World technology appear here.

"Elevators can effectively increase the efficiency of medical care at St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, and they are of great significance to the treatment of patients and the injured."

Amanda said in a flat tone, "That's why I funded the renovation of St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries and built elevators here at the same time."

She hadn't forgotten that her magic riot back then had almost sent the entire St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries flying into the sky to spin 365 degrees, so she had already funded the renovation and structural reinforcement for the entire St Mungos last year.

Of course, this also included some "private goods" in terms of Muggle technology, and the elevator was just one of them.

Within the time it took to say those two sentences, the elevator doors opened. After entering, Hermione reached out and pressed the button for the fifth floor. As the elevator doors slowly closed, Professor McGonagall reached out and smoothed Amanda's hair.

"Having you in the British Wizarding World is truly a fortunate thing."

"You are exaggerating, Professor McGonagall." Amanda pursed her lips, and a faint, peach-blossom-like flush appeared on her face.

The elevator doors opened again. Professor McGonagall and the Young Wizards walked quickly toward Ward 503, knocked gently, and pushed the door open.

Entering Ward 503, besides Mr. Weasley, Mrs. Weasley who was sitting by the bed feeding him water, and Percy, there were two other men and two other women. They were huddled tightly together, seemingly guarding against something.

"Arthur, I've brought your children here."

Professor McGonagall said softly while leading the four Weasleys forward. Amanda turned back to close the door. She, Hermione, and Harry consciously did not follow; The Weasley Family likely needed some family time now.

"Thank you, Professor McGonagall," Mr. Weasley said. Lying on the hospital bed, although his face was pale, his spirits were quite good. "Actually, you and the children didn't need to go through all this trouble. I don't have anything serious."

"The children were all very worried about you." Professor McGonagall shook her head and then stepped back to give space to The Weasley Family.

"Of course we had to come, Dad." Fred looked at Mr. Weasley's pale face and clenched his fists.

"And we had to come immediately." George nodded in agreement, his hands hanging by his sides reacting exactly like Fred's. They truly wished Voldemort was right in front of them so they could blast that guy into the sky with fireworks.

"And you say you're fine, your face is so pale." Ginny said softly, holding Mr. Weasley's left hand.

"Oh, little Ginny, I'm just a bit paler than before, that's all."

Mr. Weasley squeezed Ginny's hand back and winked at the children slyly.

"Dad, that's not a funny joke." Ron pursed his lips, his eyes shimmering with worry that had almost become tangible.

Not wanting to disturb The Weasley Family's family time, Amanda walked slowly over to her four upperclassmen and bowed deeply to them.

"Thank you for your help."

"Whoa." "Hey, don't do that." "Junior, you don't need to do this." "That's too polite."

The four Little Eagles hurriedly helped Amanda up, and then one of the girls turned back to gesture toward the thing they were surrounding. "Junior, guess what we caught?"

"Voldemort's giant snake, right?"

Amanda raised an eyebrow. This didn't require guessing at all. Being able to appear here with her upperclassmen and making them so vigilant, it could only be that giant snake of Voldemort.

"Junior is indeed smart," another boy smiled. "This giant snake's venom is very special, and it's very aggressive. Catching it was really not easy."

"That's right, and ordinary Charms don't seem to have much effect on it."

"That's normal," Amanda nodded in understanding. "Voldemort must have used quite a few protective spells on it."

After all, it was one of the Horcruxes. Although Voldemort was careless enough to let it out to do things, as long as he wasn't stupid, the corresponding protective magic should at least be equipped.

The four Little Eagles stepped aside, revealing the giant snake they had surrounded. The giant snake was trapped in a spherical barrier, raising its upper body and baring its fangs to threaten Amanda and the others in front of it.

Looking at the giant snake in front of her, Amanda couldn't help but frown tightly.

Drawing her wand and waving it at the giant snake, the expression on Amanda's face became even more grave.

"Junior, what's wrong?" A girl asked cautiously. Could it be that even their junior was helpless against Voldemort's protective magic? That couldn't be.

"This is not an ordinary giant snake," Amanda said, deliberating. After she said this, everyone in the ward turned their eyes over, even The Weasley Family looked over. "This is a Blood Curse Beastman."

"What?!" "A Blood Curse Beastman! I thought that was just a legend."

"Merlin, so this snake is a person turned into one?" Ron stared, dumbfounded, at the giant snake that was baring its fangs at Amanda.

"It was a person before, but not anymore. Obviously, she has been completely transformed into a snake by the Blood Curse." Hermione pursed her lips to correct Ron, looking at the giant snake with a complex expression.

Losing her own consciousness, losing her own reason, becoming a beast without a will of her own, and even being made into his Horcrux by Voldemort to become his tool for harming others—this Blood Curse Beastman is really...

Giant snake, Blood Curse Beastman. Thinking of these two key points, Professor McGonagall walked up quickly, bent down, and carefully examined the trapped giant snake in front of the spherical barrier.

Although so many years had passed, looking at this snake body, she definitely wouldn't mistake it.

"Nagini..." Professor McGonagall murmured softly. Amanda looked at her with confusion.

"Professor McGonagall knows this Blood Curse Beastman?"

Professor McGonagall closed her eyes, her voice trembling slightly. "She was once a very good, very kind young lady. Before she completely turned into a beast, she hid herself away just so she wouldn't hurt others, but now..."

"Voldemort." She said the name of Voldemort, word by word. That damned devil!

He killed her students, killed so many people, and now he has made such a kind person into his tool for harming others!

Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, Professor McGonagall slowly straightened her back, her lips trembling slightly.

"Ms. Amanda, how do you intend to handle Nagini?"

Amanda stared steadily at the giant snake named Nagini in front of her. Clearly, she had become a Horcrux of Voldemort.

But if she was a Blood Curse Beastman, and an innocent one at that, being used by Voldemort, Amanda felt that her previous idea of destroying the Horcrux directly would have to change.

"Stupefy."

Amanda waved her wand lightly. The Stupefy driven by her powerful magic easily penetrated the spherical barrier set up by the four Ravenclaw upperclassmen, easily shattering the protective magic Voldemort had placed on Nagini, and in the blink of an eye, the giant snake fell into a deep sleep.

But it was at the very moment the Stupefy entered Nagini's body that a familiar feeling arose. Amanda's expression changed subtly, and the corners of her lips curled up slightly.

"I will find a way to restore Nagini, Professor McGonagall."

Amanda said decisively, and waved her wand again. A crack appeared in the space behind Nagini, with Ravenclaw Castle looming within it. Sending Nagini into Ravenclaw Castle, the crack closed again.

Blood Curse Beastman is irreversible... Professor McGonagall opened her mouth to remind Amanda. Back then, Albus and so many other magic masters in the Wizarding World had once stated that curing a Blood Curse Beastman was impossible, and even she herself had tried, but all had been powerless.

However... what if? What if Amanda really could do it? After all, she had proven more than once that she was even more outstanding than they, her predecessors, weren't they?

As the victim this time, Mr. Weasley also watched this scene with a smile. He was originally a gentle and tolerant person. Now that he knew the one who harmed him was an innocent and kind Blood Curse Beastman, he instinctively wanted the other party to get help. After all, thanks to Amanda's arrangements, he hadn't suffered anything too serious, had he?

Only Hermione, who was present, caught that fleeting smile on Amanda's face just now, and also caught something that Harry and Ron had ignored.

That was, Harry, as a living organism, carried a fragment of Voldemort's soul and became a Horcrux, and he needed to withstand another Killing Curse to destroy that soul fragment. How, according to Amanda's statement, did Nagini not need that?

You know, she had just told Professor McGonagall decisively that she would help Nagini, which meant she wouldn't kill Nagini.

Then how could she handle Nagini, who had already become a Horcrux?

Harry might be able to save his life under a future Killing Curse only because Voldemort used his blood for resurrection. The same method wouldn't work for Nagini.

So how was Amanda going to save Nagini's life? Squinting her eyes slightly as she looked at her, Hermione directly ruled out the possibility that Amanda had another way to deal with a soul fragment inside a living organism.

If that were the case, Amanda would definitely not let Harry risk enduring Voldemort's Killing Curse. This only proved that she was also helpless against the soul fragment inside a living organism.

Then this person's smile just now and her promise to Professor McGonagall... were very problematic.

Was she hiding another secret plan from everyone? Or, in fact, was this plan already in progress?
