On the timeline of One Piece's appearance, she debuted at Thriller Bark, as a subordinate of one of the Shichibukai, Moria, and is the user of the Hollow-Hollow Fruit.
With a single Negative Ghost, she toyed with everyone in the Straw Hat crew except Usopp, holding them all in the palm of her hand. Unfortunately, she ran into someone who completely countered her ability—Usopp.
Usopp himself is already a negative person; when the Negative Ghost passed through his body, it became negative instead. It was simply unreasonable.
However, that does not hinder the Hollow-Hollow Fruit from being an excellent Paramecia-type Devil Fruit.
Moreover, Vane judged that the Hollow-Hollow Fruit is very likely a lower-tier fruit of the Soul-Soul Fruit belonging to one of the future Yonko, Big Mom Charlotte Linlin.
