Klaus smiled at her enthusiasm. "Lead the way then."
Their first stop was a stall selling grilled meat skewers… The vendor had multiple varieties displayed… beef, chicken, pork, and even some exotic monster meat that supposedly had magical properties.
"I'll take two of the honey-glazed beef skewers," Serra told the vendor, then turned to Klaus. "You should try a bite first to make sure it's good quality!"
The vendor handed them the skewers, and Klaus took a bite from one. The meat was perfectly cooked… it was tender and juicy with a sweet glaze that balanced nicely with the savory flavor.
"It's quite good," Klaus confirmed.
"Oh, that's great!" Serra said brightly, then immediately took a bite from the exact same spot on the skewer where Klaus's mouth had just been. "Mmm! You're right, it is delicious!"
Klaus noticed this but chose not to comment on the obvious indirect kiss. They moved to the next stall which was a dessert vendor selling candied fruits on sticks.
