Several hours passed with no sign of anything, but then…
Hey guys, there are people heading in the direction of our village. It also seems like there is a lot of movement inside the village.
I'm going to take a closer look.
"How are you going to do that without getting caught, Aerin?" Mr. Sato asked.
I have my ways.
Then Aerin used his ability Shadow Cloak, then disappeared to get closer to the Martial Arts Village…
"What the hell! When did he learn that?" Mr. Sato said in surprise.
"What's wrong, Mr. Sato?" Lyra, Lio, and Aelira asked.
"He just used a technique that only professional assassins know," Mr. Sato replied, slightly disturbed at what he had just seen.
Back in the dimension with Aerin…
Let's open up the other side by the Martial Arts Village.
Then Aerin came out the other side on a tree 500 meters from the village…
Just as I had thought, the people we saw were martial artists, and there are people in the village making weapons.
Then Aerin used Shadow Cloak again and met back up with the group…
Not good news. The people heading towards our village are martial artists, and there are people in the city preparing weapons.
"That's bad news indeed. We need to head back immediately," Mr. Sato said.
Then the group began to head back to their village…
"Hey Aerin, where did you learn the Shadow Cloak technique?" Mr. Sato asked.
I learned it from my old man.
"Who is your old man?" Mr. Sato asked further.
Arthur.
"Arthur! He's your old man?" Mr. Sato said in shock.
Yeah, so what?
"He was the greatest ninja of his time. He invented the Shadow Cloak technique. It's said he even defeated a descendant of the 15th Eyed Beast with his bare hands," Mr. Sato said enthusiastically.
I didn't know my old man was so strong.
"He wasn't just strong; he was the leader of the Beast Containment Squad, a squad made to combat the 15 Eyed Beasts and their descendants," Mr. Sato added.
At the village…
"We need to report this directly to the village council. No time for y'all to go home. Plus, Aerin is the only one who got a clear view of everything, so he needs to come," Mr. Sato said.
At the village council meeting hall…
"What did you find out on your mission?" The Tenebris asked.
"Hey narrator here, popping in to explain who The Tenebris is. The Tenebris is the title given to the leader or head figure of the Assassin Village. Anyway, let's get back to the story. Bye!"
"We noticed some people moving towards our village, so Aerin got closer to see what was happening. I'll let him make the report since he saw everything," Mr. Sato said.
I'll take it from here, sir. When I got closer to the village, I observed around 15,000 troops being deployed towards our village. Approximately 25% of them were martial artists. I assume the rest are from nearby towns or are allied forces. I also observed that Martial Arts Village was stocking up on weapons as well.
Anyway, that is the end of my report. I estimate 4–5 days before they get here.
"I need all active assassins to gather by the AOMC in the next 12 hours. I don't care what rank they are; they all need to meet at the AOMC. I need all weapon smiths to get to work on stocking up weapons and equipment. I need the Village Council here now, and someone get me eyes on those martial artists!" The Tenebris ordered.
We will take our leave.
To be continued…
