"There is more," Riven continued. "I heard from some of the servants that she had been acting strangely the whole day. She did slap a servant in the morning, but she didn't throw the usual tantrums… something about today being a somewhat peaceful day compared to the rest."
Soren scratched his jaw. "I don't understand. Certain days are peaceful too, and she could just be trying on a new act."
Riven frowned, looking a bit lost in thought. He didn't know how to explain it, there had been a semblance of sense in that Luna's eyes as much as he didn't want to admit it.
Soren let out a low whistle and drained the rest of his cup. "Dorian also said that for a moment, it was like talking to a completely different person."
A brief silence settled over the booth.
Roy stared at his drink for a moment. Then he exhaled and pulled Vanessa back against his side, the familiar smirk sliding into place as if it had never left.
