Chapter 55 - Guardian of monsters

—————30 years later——————

Shizu had grown up and now came the part where Hinata prevented Shizu from confronting Leon and then peacing out and going back to the future.

Shizu had become completely independent and was not the little girl that she was before. When I had met up with her, I initiated a Collab, twin heroes.

I had donned a black featureless mask and black leather clothes, the opposite of Shizu's fit.

Overtime, Shizu gained her signature moniker as the conquerer of flames due to dispatching monsters with efficient flare.

My reputation went into a different direction though, due to me indiscriminately protecting both humans and intelligent monsters, humans misinterpreted my actions and deemed me as the Guardian of monsters.

Now people view Shizu's name as a symbol of hope and mine as a symbol of fear. Except of the king of dwarves, apparently Gazel Dwargo never forgot my name, in fact he's been searching for me all these years, and even figured out that I was the Guardian of monsters, somehow. Now I'm gonna drop in on him.

Gazel Dwargo was currently doing paperwork when something felt off. He looked up from his documents and saw me sitting across from him, "Hello Your highness." I spoke with glee.

"Hello Mr?"

"Simon. It's Simon. You know for someone who's been searching for me for decades, it's rude to forget my name."

"You never told me your name. Did you?"

"…Um, nevermind, why have you been looking for me?"

"I was looking for some form of cooperation." Gazel proposed.

"I mean no offense but what could you possibly have to offer me?" I asked the king with a raised eyebrow.

"I could give you new surbordinate."

"I quite literally make my own surbordinate."

"How about new materials for creating artifacts?"

"Same reason."

"…" Gazel Dwargo drank from his tea calmly, "Fine then, if you really didn't want something from me, you wouldn't have stayed, what is it that you wanted?"

"You misunderstand me, at some point we will be in cooperation, just not in the way that you think. But since you insist, how about this, whenever the time comes, you'll have to do a favour for me, no matter the occasion or consequence it has for either of us."

Before the king could respond, I got up from my seat and put my mask back on, " We'll see each other soon. Also I left something for you downstairs."

The masked figure teleported away and suddenly the building rumbled. Gazel heard something crash downstairs.

He ran down and found something surprising, five colossal mechs that looked eerily similar to the to a certain project, " This is… the magi soldier project." Gazel exclaimed in awe.

While the dwarven king was having a meltdown, I was riding off into the sunset on Necrozma's back, heading back to the lab.

Over the years I had been studying biology. The reason it's taking so long is because I had been talking individual monsters and lifeforms from across the world and began studying each one from scratch.

I had figured if I can create Necrozma, than I can create another legendary Pokémon. My favourite legendary of all time, the biomechanical virus that was always on sight for rayquaza.

Catching monsters wasn't hard, over the years, my growing reputation has created a sorta cult following. Among monsters and humans, my story has been told by spirits traveling the world, mostly because these were the spirits that had come out of the ranch.

In my stead, the spirits have been taking commissions for me and bringing me the loot.

Learning the inner workings was simply more difficult because I never had any proper references. I had studied the functions of almost all species in the world. Since the knowledge of species biology was quite limited, I decided to write an encyclopedia and sell it, and thanks to the connections I mentioned, selling it was easy.

In fact, selling it just increased devotion for me, praising me as a god of knowledge.

The spirits had presented my image as a being known as the God Pneuma, the God of spirits that pushes the world forward and destroys those who remains behind.

That moniker became known across the world with emotions of fear and reverance, a name that signifies change, evolution and unity.

I already know Ramiris is gonna be seething when she finds out I've usurped her title.

————————————————

Shizu had walked out of a adventurers guild, in which I dropped down from the sky. The reverance for the conquerer of flames had become fear towards the guardian of monsters. People looked at me like I was a disgusting piece of shit while Shizu ran up to me and hugged me.

"Where did you go!?" Shizu reprimanded me for suddenly disappearing from her sight without word.

"I just went to make up for lost time." I tried to explain my actions which seemed to appease her, not because she was satisfied with my answer, but because she had gotten used to me never elaborating on stuff.

Shizu just sighed, "Can we walk and talk?" Me and Shizu began our walk, she seemed sad.

"You gonna tell me what's on your mind?"

"I'm probably gonna quite the adventurer life for a little bit."

"I'm gonna stop being an adventurer for a while."

"Why?"

"I've found some students that I want to train."

"Otherworlders?"

"Uh yeah." Something that did catch Shizu off guard despite all these years of working with Simon was he's intuitive sense of the future. He told me it's due to one of his Ultimate skills but there's no way ultimate skills can be that powerful.

"Um…ok."

"Huh? You're ok with it?"

"Why'd you assume I wasn't. I only did this adventurers thing to quell some of my boredom. Not to mention that my reputation has opened new avenues for activities to do."

" So I can quit my job and train my students in peace."

" Of course not, I'm obviously gonna come visit your students and abuse them." I said with a smile.

" Of course you are." Shizu just facepalmed, " What are you gonna do then when you're not… abusing my students?"

"I'm gonna become a God and start a religion."

Shizu tried to respond and tell me not to do something like that but all she could muster was a facepalm and say, " Of course you are."
