In the recesses of the mountainside, a Lamborghini could be seen racing through the scenery, despite the beautiful scenery, the atmosphere in the car was very grim.
A grieving mother and collage friend as passengers and the driver, an alien god that made their sophisticated weaponry look like plastic toys.
Jason was in the back lost in thought, trying to make sense about everything that was happening, frankly it was too overwhelming that he had to take a step back.
First, his best friend had died, then he had found a mysterious stranger unconscious in his friends room, they found out that this stranger was actually some sort of an alien monster in human skin and lastly this creature was too powerful for earth weapons to use. He evens apparently knew who Simon was.
All these events were simply way too overwhelming. Evens when they were basically no different then hostages at the moment, he couldn't care about the kidnapper at hand and had to take time to both grieve and make sense of the recent events.
But Ava was much better and compartmentalizing and was much more put together at the moment, despite just losing her son, she wanted some answers to what this thing wanted with them other then the shared connection with Simon.
She wanted to ask him some questions but was afraid of saying the wrong thing and losing her head or being shrouded in that fog and subjected to whatever it can do.
But I had already noticed her hesitation and fear, "If you have some questions then ask away. If it's a question I don't like or can't give an answer too, then I'll dismiss it politely. I'm not so impulsive."
Ava: "Ok then, well for starters, What's you name?"
Pneuma: "My name would set off a lot of confusion so for starters, you can just call me Pneuma."
Ava: "How do you know my son?"
Pneuma: "Sorry I can't answer that, it would simply take too long to explain at the moment and I don't think you would believe me anyway."
Ava: " Where are you from and why have you come here?"
Pneuma: "Oh boy, this might take some explaining. Ok, do you believe in the many-worlds interpretations?"
Ava: "…Are you implying that you've come from another nearly identical dimension from us?" The excited Ava was to be expected, especially considering her profession as a physicist.
Pneuma: " Yep and I came here to investigate something that involves Simon's death, something exceptionally personal to me and something I need to find out."

I stopped the car and caused Jason to snap out of his stupor and both to finally realize the location we were at.
Getting out, Jason was very confused about the area but seeing the cliff and the familiar flowery fields that covered the side of the mountains, it made her blood run cold, 'Does this Pneuma know what this place is?'
Pneuma: " Ava, you know one thing that I always wondered is, why do you and Simon look so different?"
Hearing this, Jason looked at Ava almost accusingly, " Mrs Winters, what is he talking about?"
Ava turned around to face them slowly, her face looking even more aggrieved, " About 18 years ago, I was out here under the stars doing some stargazing… until one of the stars burst through the sky and fell to the ground."
She walked backwards and bent down, feeling the course stone in the palm of her hand, "The bright light blinded me for a second but only for a second when the disorientation went away, I found an infant on the ground, clearly just born in that second but still very lively and active."
Ava: " In that moment, I made a decision, to take care of this child as my own, and I named him Simon Winters."
Jason went limp, the revelation so shocking that he couldn't evens stay standing, he looked down and found tendrils of fog holding him up.
'So I was always like this, isekai was my date from the start.'
Ava: "How did you know, it couldn't have just been that we looked different?"
"This area is a massive spacetime fissure. That star descending was actually space tearing open to introduce the new infant into this world. But there's another reason I brought us out here."
I held out my hand and fog revealed a body, my body, Simon Winters body in pristine condition was now right there on the floor.
" It might not be my right but I believe it's fitting that we bury him here. Do you object to this?" I looked to both Jason and Ava with questioning but neither of them objected.
I used Earth manipulation to dig a hole and buried him… myself in a hole.
Then I stepped closer to the spacetime fissure and manipulated the grayfog to enter it.
————————————————
I used the grayfog to tamper with the space and time of the fissure. I accessed the origin point of where I had come from at the exact same time.
Where I ended up had surprised me, i had expected that I was originally from the cardinal world but maybe from later in the timeline but I had ended up in a surprising place.
I had projected myself into the past and saw a battle going on, Ivarage vs the Primordial angels.
'How… I had come from this time… how is that-" Before I could think longer, I felt a violent force pull me somewhere across space, this was merely a projection but I something in the historical projection had not only gained awareness but also seized control of the projection entirely.
And just like that, my foggy form was moved to a hidden cave with one individual, Infront of me stood a man with long jet-black hair, blue eyes and horns coming out of his forehead and curving back.
'Veldanava?! You should be dead at this point!' As I was thinking, I saw as Veldanava looked at my, supposed to be, invisible form with extremely clarity…
…aswell as fear and horror, I felt a force expelling me from the projection and as I was returning to the real world, I saw Veldanava mouth five words…
How are you still alive
————————————————
As the fog receeded, I was taken back Infront of Ava and Jason unconscious… again.
