"Phew!"
Ciel let out a long breath before slowly standing up from the reclining chair beneath the large white umbrella.
The western wind brushed gently against her red hair, now mostly dry from the sunlight.
Strands of crimson fluttered behind her beautifully while the warm heat of the western territory wrapped around the entire estate like an invisible blanket.
Truthfully, people from the north would probably collapse here within ten minutes.
"I should get some… personal rest," Ciel said calmly.
The maid immediately understood what that meant. It meant: please leave before your young miss starts saying questionable things again.
"Go tell father what I said," Ciel continued while stretching lazily.
"And Crypian should arrive tomorrow, so before he gets here, tell him the engagement is canceled."
She spoke so casually one would think she was canceling afternoon tea instead of a noble engagement.
The maid bowed slightly. "I will do as you wish, my lady."
