Chapter 14 - CHAPTER 14: Shuddering Abyss

In a desolate, forsaken corner of Creignmeia, the abyss yawned open like a festering wound, its dark depths teeming with malevolent demons and twisted creatures.

The air was heavy with the stench of decay and corruption, and the very ground seemed to tremble with the malevolent energy that pulsed through the abyss.

The sound of distant screams and wretched moans echoed through the caverns, creating an eerie, unsettling atmosphere that seemed to seep into the bones of all who dared to enter.

At the center of the abyss, a meeting was underway, convened by the most powerful demons and creatures, each one a master of darkness and sins.

The room was a twisted, grotesque parody of a council chamber, with jagged rock formations serving as seats and a massive, black stone slab as the table.

The air was thick with the acme of brimstone and burning flesh, and the shadows seemed to writhe and twist on the walls like living things.

"The dark oracle book, send us a prophecy." the eldest in the room, a demon with twisted horns and scales, spoke in a voice that was like thunder in the darkness.

"Heh, the book only left one sentence, we don't even know if it would be a threat to us. The oracle book hasn't been moving nor opening for thousands of years, who knows whether it's being rusty now?" one of the creatures said arrogantly.

"You fool, the oracle book is infallible!" snarled a creature with bat-like wings.

"It has guided us to greatness time and time again, we must heed its words!" a demon said

"But what if it's just a trick, a ruse just to distract us?" a shadow suddenly said.

"We should not be so quick to follow its words blindly." another one added

The room erupted into a cacophony of arguments and snarls, with some creatures backing the skepticism, while others defended the oracle book's infallibility.

"Silence!" the eldest demon roared, its voice shaking the foundations of the abyss.

"The dark oracle book has never been wrong, how dare you question it!"

"Perhaps we should consider the possibility that the prophecy is not a threat, but an opportunity. What if the conqueror is one of us, risen to claim the world of Creignmeia?" A creature with a twisted, elongated body spoke up.

The room fell silent, as the creatures and demons considered the possibility.

"You think too highly of yourselves. We are the masters of the abyss, not some petty conqueror from the surface world." someone snorted

"Enough! We will not speculate further. The prophecy is clear, we must prepare for the worst." The eldest demon's eyes glared with a fierce light.

As the debate raged on, a figure slipped into the shadows, unnoticed by the arguing demons and creatures.

She was a young girl, looking like a 16 years old, with shoulder-length black hair and eyes that seemed to hold a thousand secrets.

She was kidnapped and brought in this abyss to be a slave, and just as she was slowly losing consciousness due to the torture she had experienced, there's suddenly an energy that enveloped her whole body, that guided her through awakening and that's the reason why she's capable of escaping now.

She moved with a careful silent, using her charm that had just awakened within her. Everyone who encountered her can't see her not because she's invisible but it's all thanks to her just awakened charm.

The creatures and demons she passed by didn't even felt her presence

As she reached the portal that led back to Creignmeia, she paused, casting a glance over her shoulder.

The dark oracle book's words echoed in her mind, she doesn't know whether it's a blessing or a curse.

"Cosmic diamonds, the conqueror is here."

She whispered the words to herself, her voice barely audible, as if studying the underlying message. Her eyes seemed to gleam with a fierce, burning intensity, like a spark of rebellion or defiance.

With a final glance at the abyss, she stepped through the portal, vanishing into the unknown.

The creatures and demons in the meeting hall wad still arguing and snarling, remained oblivious to her presence, and the dark oracle book's prophecy remained a mystery, waiting to be unraveled.
