Washington DC
"How long has it been?"
Genevieve leaned against a vehicle several meters away from the Rift, one hand propped on her face while the other held her tablet.
On the screen was President Josiah.
"Just a little over an hour now, sir." She responded, eyes flitting to the Rift again. "There were several elite S-Ranks present. Hunter Devon, Hunter Alisha, Hunter Viktor—"
"Right, right." Josiah nodded. "And so far you haven't noticed anything odd?"
"Nothing at all, sir."
"You sure?"
"Positive." Genevieve looked at the glowing white Rift, which only occasionally released short bursts of aether energy. "This Rift surprisingly looks more… peaceful than the one that opened in Aurelia all those months ago."
Josiah let out a small breath at the other end.
The last thing he needed was a repeat of Canada's Purple Rift incident. Or worse… another Echo Rift.
