Chapter 105
A beautiful woman with auburn hair stood barefoot in her spacious kitchen preparing some of her world famous cupcakes. The soft whir of the electric mixer filled the air as Sofia gently folded chunks of fresh strawberries into the vanilla cupcake batter.
She had always loved this ritual, aside from gardening which was of course number one. Baking had always been her escape or if you might so put it, a small pocket of control in a life that had slowly slipped from her grasp over the years.
Today she was wearing a simple lavender sundress that hugged her full breasts and flared softly at her wide hips. Her long auburn hair was tied in a loose bun, with a few rebellious strands framing her delicate face.
Everything felt... almost normal, well that is, until the first heavy raindrops began to strike against the window.
