Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 : Wrath Of Sovereign

The sky above the entire Canglan planet darkened, as if night had fallen in the middle of day. Drawn by the terrifying disturbance, the Planet Master and the leaders of other powerful forces rushed toward the Xie Clan. They were close enough now to see everything with their own eyes, and the ancestors' eyes went wide with disbelief.

A colossal phantom of Huai appeared in the heavens, dressed exactly as he was. Its eyes were closed. When they opened, the laws surrounding the whole planet trembled.

Wuhe smiled up at the phantom. He knew Huai hadn't shown even a billionth of his true power. Xie Yan, his uncle, and his sister all stared at the apparition in awe.

Huai raised his hand, and the giant phantom mirrored him. In its palm, the Canglan star appeared, looking no bigger than an ant.

The ancestor of the Xie Clan swallowed hard. He never imagined how they had ended up on the wrong side of such a senior. Even their Planet Master could not do something like this.

On the ground, young master Xie Feng had already lost all hope. He was being tormented by Huai's aura alone his bones breaking, reconstructing, then breaking again in an endless cycle.

The lineage of Xie Zhenghong and his wife watched in horror. They never thought their wrongdoings would end like this.

Canglan, the Planet Master, ran forward and kowtowed before Huai. Beside him, the heads of other families, even the elders and ancestors of the Xie family, fell to their knees.

"Mercy! Mercy, Your Highness!" Canglan cried. "If you do not stop, countless innocents will die. They have done nothing wrong."

The others nodded frantically. At that moment, Xie Zhenghong shouted, "Proof! What proof do you have, Your Highness, that you can execute us like this? Do not forget, this world has the Human Federation and the Goddess Nexus..."

Huai turned to him, his fury twisting his expression. His white veil vanished, revealing his beautiful face and eyes burning red with anger. Everyone gasped at his extraordinary bearing.

"Good," Huai said coldly. "You want proof, do you?"

He grasped the air, and the wife of the patriarch Xie was yanked into his grip. She was one of the culprits who had tortured his disciple. No one dared speak as she choked in his hold, unable to plead, while even her husband stood frozen.

Huai sent a thread of qi into her and extracted every memory from her mind. Then he dropped her to the ground. She coughed and vomited, gasping for air, her throat ruined.

With a wave of his hand, Huai projected the memories across the sky.

The scenes showed how they had hired extraterrestrial creatures to kill the previous sect leader and his wife, and how Xie Zhenghong and his entire lineage had submitted to the Nether Bat Clan. The projection revealed that their whole bloodline was infected by the alien race.

Huai laughed, "Hahaha! Do you think I need any more proof now?"

The Xie Clan ancestors and the eight elders bowed their heads in shame and rage at themselves. They had been wrong. The last sect master had warned them, and they had not listened.

Exposed, Xie Zhenghong tried to flee, but the space around the area was frozen solid. Without Huai's permission, no one could break through.

"You! You can't kill us!" Xie Zhenghong screamed. "Or my master will not let you leave! He will take revenge for me!"

Huai chuckled. "Who? That rat hiding in your locket?"

He waved his hand, and the locket tore itself from Zhenghong's body and flew into Huai's palm.

The Nether Bat inside had been watching, but now that he knew he'd been discovered, he panicked. Who had they provoked? He was a Galaxy Master, how could there be a Galaxy cultivator on this small planet?

"Stop! Stop right there!" the bat roared from the locket. "Or you will all die when my bat race invades your Federation! Hahaha!"

Huai chuckled again. "Heh. Little bat, you don't know you're playing with fire."

A white flame appeared in his hand and engulfed the locket.

"Ahhhhhh! Stop! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!"

With a soul-shattering scream, the Nether Bat died and turned to ash before everyone's eyes. A chill ran down every spine.

Huai pointed a finger at Xie Zhenghong's lineage, and the huge phantom did the same. A pure white flame appeared in the sky, forming into a water lily above the Xie Clan.

Countless small fragments of white flame drifted down from the lily and attached themselves to people one by one. Every member of Xie Zhenghong's lineage cried out in agony. Even Xie Feng caught the flame and turned to ash in mere seconds.

Far away, light years from Canglan, in the Nether Plane at the headquarters of the Nether Bat race, an elder who had lived for millions of years suddenly felt a fluctuation. Someone from his lineage had died in human territory.

He was one of the formidable Galaxy Sovereigns of the Nether Bat Clan, known as the Dark Bat Sovereign. Gritting his teeth, he tried to see who dared to kill his descendant.

As the fog of distance parted and he looked across the void, a single sound reached him...

"Humph!"

Back on Canglan, Huai had finished killing the ants and was about to withdraw his power when he felt someone try to probe him from an impossible distance away.

He looked at that point in the void and snorted. "Hmph!"

Wuhe, standing beside him, also felt the fluctuation and looked toward the fool who dared to probe Huai.

That single snort shook the old Dark Bat Sovereign to his core. He was a Galaxy Sovereign level 3, yet the sound rattled his foundation. He coughed up a huge amount of black blood, his dantian nearly shattering just from looking across that distance.

His eyes began to bleed because he had dared to look at someone far beyond his power.

"Ahhhhhh! Ahhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhhh!" he screamed.

The entire area shook. His descendants rushed in and saw their ancestor in a miserable state. One of them cried out, "Ancestor! Ancestor! What happened?"

The Dark Bat Sovereign answered between coughs of blood, "I... I sensed someone killed my descendant in human territory. I wanted to see who it was, but a single... a single snort from that person did this to me..."

"Hiss!" A wave of shock went through the crowd. Someone whispered, "Is it one of those ancients in the Human Federation?"

Another said, "Huh! Who else could do this to our ancestor except them!"

A third nodded gravely. "Yes, only those ancient Sovereigns have this power. We need to alert our powerhouses at once."

They all nodded, gritting their teeth in frustration. They had wanted to conquer the human race and their territories for a long time, but those ancient powerhouses had always stopped them.

They stabilized the Dark Bat Sovereign's injuries as best they could and carried him to the other Sovereigns of their clan.

Inside the Human Federation, the North Star Galaxy Sovereign appeared as a young man of about thirty. He controlled the entire galaxy field, and the Red Lotus Galaxy where Canglan was located was one of them.

He, too, caught the fluctuations in the laws coming from the Canglan star. He was about to probe the source when he felt his back turn cold.

Huai sensed another person trying to probe him, so he sealed off the entire Canglan star and sent a sliver of his consciousness toward the intruder.

A moment later, Huai's consciousness appeared behind the North Star Sovereign, looking exactly like him. The North Star Sovereign froze. He could see the man was human, but he could not see through his cultivation at all. His body went stiff and his blood ran cold. Who is this? he thought. Besides the 14 Galaxy Sovereigns, are there other Sovereigns in human territory?

He was at level 5 of the Galaxy Sovereign realm. If he couldn't see through this person's cultivation, then the man was at least at the peak Galaxy Sovereign realm. Only five ancient Sovereigns in the Human Federation were at that level. Nexus was one of them.

He immediately bowed, clasping his hands in salute. "I am Li Beichen, known as the North Star Galaxy Sovereign, the 10th Sovereign of humanity. Please, Your Highness, forgive my rude behavior just now." Cold sweat ran down his back. He could not fight a peak Galaxy Sovereign. Even a single level gap at this realm was insurmountable.

Huai chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm not here to make you suffer. I just want you to keep this secret to yourself. Not even Nexus should know. Can you do that?"

North Star nodded slightly. "But Your Highness! Why haven't you shown yourself at the Federation headquarters? With you, humanity would have another great pillar."

Huai shook his head. "I cannot interfere until it is necessary. You will understand why in the future. Although I cannot interfere directly, I have already given you enough help in the last few months."

Huai could not say that if he used his power too often, this plane would turn to dust. He had already used only a trillionth of his strength.

He thought for a moment and took out the divine physician token from his system space.

North Star froze. He began to stammer, "Divine... Divine Physician! Your Highness! Are you the Divine Physician?"

Huai nodded. North Star could feel just how unfathomable this person was. Nexus had mentioned him before, a boy of 17 or 18 who had cultivated to the Star Realm, the Galaxy Master realm, in just a few months. But what was he seeing now? This person had hidden his true realm even from Nexus. He was far more capable than anyone imagined.

North Star bowed deeply at once. "Don't worry, Your Highness! I will not tell anyone of your existence. But please, help us when humanity needs your support."

Huai nodded and handed him a token from his Eternal Sect. "This is the sect I established. Contact me through this token if you need help."

North Star accepted it, and Huai vanished before him.

Alone again, North Star thought to himself that everyone wanted to protect the Divine Physician. He chuckled softly at the irony. Does a peak Galaxy Sovereign really need protection?

On the Canglan planet, Huai withdrew his power. The sky returned to normal, and the people still kneeling on the ground felt a wave of relief that His Highness had pulled his power back from their world. Across the planet, everyone breathed easier once the huge phantom vanished.

Huai turned to look at Wuhe, who was standing beside Xie Yan and Qingluo, along with the 9th elder, Xie Youwei. Xie Yan now understood just how powerful his master was. His eyes shone with brilliance; he could not imagine how lucky he was to have such a master.

Huai spoke in his mind, "System! Can you give me two resurrection cards?"

[Ding!

Congratulations, Host, for using the feature "Ask Your Dear System"!

Host remembered the system and asked for a gift. System's mood is excellent.

Giving rewards:

1. Resurrection Cards - 2 (Special note: To resurrect someone, you need at least something related to them.)]

Huai sighed after the notification. He walked over to his disciple. Xie Youwei and Qingluo immediately bowed and gave him a proper salute. "Greetings, Your Highness!" they said in unison.

Huai nodded to them, then ruffled Xie Yan's hair and asked, "Yan, do you have anything that belonged to your mother and father?"

Xie Yan thought for a long time, then remembered that their ancestral grave held both of their bodies. He told Huai, and with a glance from Huai, two coffins rose from the ground, carrying the bodies of his father and mother.

No one from the Xie Clan dared utter a word. It was an utter disgrace to remove their descendants' bodies from the grave, but no one had enough lives to stand against this killing machine.
