Sienna had begun improving the land around Fort Iron Mountain, but she was careful not to expand too quickly. So far, she had managed to improve less than seven hundred thousand square meters. That was already a substantial area, especially considering how few people lived in the fort and how much work was required to cultivate the newly improved land.
Fortunately, the scaled wildebeests she had raised were proving useful. The slaves could use them to help with planting and other heavy tasks, reducing the amount of labor required from the people themselves. This made it easier to cultivate ordinary vegetables without exhausting everyone.
Sienna had considered turning the scaled wildebeests into undead, since undead laborers would not tire or require the same care as living animals. However, she had no desire to turn every useful creature into a tool of that kind. She was not a genuine black magician, and she preferred to keep living animals when they could serve the same purpose.
