Chapter 3 - Titan Vs Wanda And Mark

*Thanks for the Powerstones!*

*I'm motivated now!*

*Yosh!*

Wanda, though exhausted, raised her hand. The red energy swirled around Titan, his act of punching slowing down as if he was stuck in a mire. Mark took the opportunity to attack.

A knee struck the giant's stomach and he staggered back. It planted its feet on the ground and punched again. This time he broke free from Wanda's restraint, but Mark was ready for the attack.

Taking a step to the side, the fist — coated in compressed wind — swooshed past his body. He gripped the wrist of Titan and jumped. Twisting mid-air, his feet struck Titan directly in the cheek, forcing the giant back two steps.

Roar!

Titan roared and rushed forward, bringing his hand down like a meteor toward Mark. But red energy coiled around his arm, slowing his movement again.

Mark took the opportunity to step to the side. His hand swiftly dug into his pocket and he brought out a knife that he had taken from a fallen soldier. He stabbed it deep into Titan's armpit.

Titan roared in pain, staggering back. Mark didn't let the opportunity go. He rushed forward and sprang toward the knife embedded in Titan's body. Grabbing it, he drew it down to the giant's waist.

Blood sprayed like a fountain and Titan roared again. His fist cut through the air toward Mark, too fast for either he or Wanda to react.

Bang!

A muffled sound erupted as the fist connected with Mark's stomach, bending him in a 'C' shape and sending him flying.

He tumbled three times before he successfully planted his feet on the ground, stopping his momentum.

"Ugh...!" Vomiting a mouthful of blood on the ground, Mark raised his eyes, which were stained with blood, toward Titan that rushed at him.

'Will I really die...?' Mark thought as he watched Titan's figure getting closer. Then the giant raised his hand and brought it down without any mercy.

Boom!

A dust cloud rose up and spiderweb cracks spread through the floor. And when the thick dust dissipated, Titan removed his fist from the headless corpse and stood up, roaring to the sky.

"MARK!" Wanda screamed as red energy curled around her, but it was like a flickering light, vanishing and appearing.

Titan turned his gaze to Wanda, and just as he was about to approach, the sound of a gun cocking rang out.

In the shocked and incredulous gazes of Luke and Michael, Mark stood on the floor with a gun pointed at Titan's head.

"He's alive?!" Michael shouted. Even though he once had a vague thought of the boy's regeneration, he didn't believe that he would survive after Titan's punch to the head!

"You know," Mark's voice came out raspy as he glared at Titan. "Having your skull get smashed isn't a great idea... how about I reciprocate the action?"

"Rargh—"

Bang!

Titan's intended action of turning back was forcefully stopped as he took a bullet straight to the head, creating a small hole that showed the blue sky.

Bang!

Titan's corpse fell on the floor, kicking up dust.

Mark shifted his gaze from the dead giant to Luke and Michael, pointing his gun at them.

"Y-You... if you try to kill me, your end won't be pleasant! Let me go!" Michael shouted as he staggered back.

Mark didn't waste words with him. He shot his head, and Michael, with wide eyes, fell to the ground.

Mark then turned to Luke, but the white-robed man didn't cower like Michael. Instead, he stared at Mark as if he wanted to dissect him right there.

"I hate that look," Mark said coldly, and fired a shot, killing the man.

Exhaling, he turned to Wanda, who stared at him.

"You're alright?" he asked.

"Y...yes."

"That's good." Mark turned to Titan, pointing at him he fired a blue beam that struck his body. And under Wanda's shocked gaze, the giant slowly shrank, then turned into a small chocolate. Mark proceeded to do the same to Michael and Luke, and after he was through, he stuffed the three candies into his mouth.

'Sweet,' Mark thought as the chocolate melted on his tongue. Then a torrent of knowledge flooded through his mind.

"Ugh..." Mark groaned and clutched his head. Unable to take in the memories, he fainted.

"Mark!" Wanda shouted in concern and rushed toward him. Seeing his chest still rising and falling, she breathed a sigh of relief, though the fear in her heart didn't diminish.

"Wanda, Mark!" Suddenly Pietro's voice came from the distance.

Seeing her brother arriving with help — a man with a bushy beard — Wanda's eyes lit up.

"Pietro, Uncle Peter! Mark needs help!" she shouted, the tension that had been shackling her finally breaking.
