"Fuck…!!! What the hell is this place?"
But no one answered him. The silence of the endless white world felt incredibly heavy.
The only sound he could hear was the soft, rhythmic crunch and shift of snow under the slow, deep breathing of the giant serpent.
Each time the huge creature exhaled, a gentle wave of bone-chilling cold mist rolled across the ground, washing over his bare feet and brushing against his legs.
His heart pounded in his chest, hammering non-stop like a trapped bird.
"Damn… Is this her true body?" Alex immediately thought of the Empress, his breath hitching in his throat.
He felt like an insect standing in front of a living mountain.
Just the snake's head alone was massive enough to block out the pale gray sky.
One small, accidental movement from her, and he would be crushed into nothing without the creature even noticing.
Just then, the giant, half-open eyes began to move.
Slowly… so agonizingly slowly, it felt like the surrounding world itself was waking up.
The large, silver-white eyelids lifted, with pale blue light inside the huge vertical pupils, shining like frozen stars in the gray gloom.
Then, the color shifted. The icy blue deepened, bleeding out into a bright, burning red.
Those twin vertical eyes, glowing like blood moons, locked onto him with sudden, terrifying focus.
The giant body stirred. The surrounding snow slowly cracked as the enormous snake's coils shifted, sliding against the frozen ground.
The head rose higher, lifting off the earth with a slow, hypnotic grace that defied its massive size.
Thick white clouds of cold mist poured from her open nostrils, washing over Alex in a freezing wave that made him stagger back a step, his arms instinctively coming up to shield his face.
Right before his eyes, the snake's impossibly huge body began to shrink.
The massive body slowly pulled inward, the silver scales sliding over one another smoothly without a single sound or a hint of resistance.
The head, which was the size of a small hill, rapidly condensed until it was three or four times smaller.
She was still incredibly large compared to his small, fragile human body, very capable of swallowing him whole in a single bite… but now she was low enough that her glowing red eyes looked down at him from only twenty or thirty meters above the snow.
The Empress's forked tongue slipped out from between her lips, long and dark, tasting the freezing air right in front of Alex's face.
Her huge mouth opened just a fraction, revealing an abyss of darkness filled with rows of curved, razor-sharp white fangs.
A smooth, seductive voice rolled out of that mouth.
It was the same sultry, commanding voice that he had grown used to hearing inside his head for weeks, but now… it was entirely different.
It didn't just echo in his ears; it vibrated directly inside his consciousness.
"Ohh, my little vessel…" The red eyes narrowed, flashing with a dark, twisted amusement. "Why don't you just give up your body?"
Alex's heart skipped a beat as the cold mist continued to drift between them, clinging to his skin.
Under the heavy black coat, he could feel the terrifying changes his body was going through, the soft curves, the shifting flesh, the inescapable femininity taking root… but his mind screamed in rebellion.
His hands clenched tight into fists inside the long sleeves of his robe, his nails digging hard into his palms to ground himself.
He was terrified, looking up at the Empress, trembling under her overwhelming aura.
But beneath that freezing fear, he felt an even stronger anger.
The last stubborn pieces of his willpower, the part of him that absolutely refused to just fade away, sparked to life.
"Fuck you… I'm… I'm still me," he forced his voice out through chattering teeth, staring right back into those massive red eyes. "I'm not giving anything up. Not to you. Not to anyone."
The giant silver head tilted slightly to the side, looking at him like an amusing little pet.
More mist rolled from her jaws, drifting lazily over the snow. The red eyes never left his face.
"Still fighting," the Empress said, her words slow and almost fond, filled with a terrifying affection. "Even now, while your soul cracks open and my blood rewrites every single cell of your fragile little body… you still try to hold on."
Alex's legs felt weak, shaking so badly he could barely stand.
The Empress slowly began to move around him, her massive coils sliding over the snow in slow, tightening circles.
All the while, unfamiliar memories began to press harder against the edges of his mind, like rising floodwaters against a breaking dam.
"My sweet little vessel. Now that our souls are completely entwined, there is no turning back."
"I will be taking over your body and your mind…" She hovered right above him, blocking out the light.
She slowly opened her massive jaws, letting out a soft, echoing laugh that continuously sent shivers down his spine. "Hehehe… I hope you can still be as stubborn as you are now, right until the bitter end..."
Before he could even scream, she plunged down and sucked him inside her mouth, throwing his consciousness into total, suffocating darkness.
Then, the dam broke.
A flood of images and intense emotions smashed into him. He felt the physical sensation of slithering through endless, freezing snow.
He saw flashes of titanic creatures roaring into the sky. He lived through brutal, world-shaking battles between giant monsters, feeling the pain of torn scales and spilled blood.
Then, the feeling shifted entirely; he felt the sensation of being small, sleek, and devastatingly beautiful.
Shattered, broken memories began to awaken inside his mind.
They were not his memories… Yet, terrifyingly, it felt exactly like they were.
He could feel what it was like to be a snake. The cold blood, the shifting scales, the primal female instincts rewriting his mind and body.
"Damnn… is this how I die?" In those moments, he wasn't a human man anymore; he was her. The lines between Alex and the Empress were blurring into nothing.
Just when he was on the verge of entirely losing himself, drowning in the endless sea of her mind, a sudden, familiar prompt chimed brightly in the darkness, pulling him back from the edge.

Alex clung to the glowing blue text in his mind like a lifeline, his breathing ragged as the system forcefully worked to sort the chaotic mess of the Empress's past life away from his own human identity.
