When they reached the Hansejjiu Construction Site, they found a glowing portal in the middle of the raid zone, completely surfaced in ripples of unstable mana.
Choi Min Gyu looked at the team and said, "Move out."
Without hesitation, the hunters stepped into the Gate.
The moment Tae Jun crossed the threshold, the world twisted. For a second, it felt like being dragged underwater.
The dungeon was a forest. But not a normal one. The trees were too tall and dark. The branches twisted together high above. A thick fog clung low to the ground, and the air smelled of wet bark and old blood.
This was different from anything he had imagined.
"Stay close," Yoon said without looking at him.
Dae Sik cracked his neck and said, "This should be easy. Goblins and wolves."
Choi Min Gyu drew his pale silver sword fully.
"Then let's clear it fast."
They all walked forward, and Tae Jun walked behind them, carrying two heavy supply packs, spare weapons, mana potions, and a loot crate folded onto his back.
It was heavier than he thought.
A rustling sound came from the bushes behind them.
Then ten more. Green bodies burst from the bushes. They were goblins.
Small, ugly, and fast with sharp teeth and rusty blades in their hands.
Tae Jun froze in fear, but the B-Rank hunter didn't. Dae Sik took the first charge. A goblin lunged at him, and he swung his shield and enhanced his defense so much
that the goblin exploded in an instant when he hit the shield.
A pink diamond-like thing dropped.
This diamond is called a Mana Core.
This Mana Core is like the ore for mana.
Humans can develop mana weapons and experiment with armors and weaponry.
And hunters must collect those to submit to the Hunter Association for rewards and money.
If you don't have a Mana Core, that means no money and rewards.
Yoon vanished in the air; technically not, but she was so fast for Tae Jun's sight. She almost felt like she vanished.
Her daggers flashed so fast with her speed. Goblins' throats were opened whenever they attacked.
The leader, Choi Min, didn't move at first. He simply watched them fight.
Then a larger giant-like goblin with a horned helmet charged at him, roaring and shaking the earth.
Min Gyu lifted one hand and said,
"Mana Slash."
A compressed blue energy sliced through the air. The goblin's body split cleanly in half.
Tae Jun was amazed by the leader's strength. He felt a little relieved to see Min Gyu's powers.
"Let's go deeper," Min Gyu loudly screamed at his members.
It felt like there weren't any B-Rankers, especially Min Gyu.
He felt like he was far superior in power compared to those two.
"Are you a kid?" Yoon nicely asked.
"Yes, I am. Thanks to you guys."
Min Gyu wrapped his hand around my shoulder.
"You are always welcome, boy."
And then his smile turned serious.
"Moving ahead. There will be more danger."
Tae Jun stared at him.
"And remember this: whenever you face death, just tell death, 'Not today.'"
Min Gyu laughed.
"Let's move deeper."
