Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Academy Arc [part 2] School-life

Opening Ceremony

One week later…

Magic Hunters Academy was decorated with flags and magic lights.Today was the First Day Ceremony. All students stood in the main hall. All parents were sitting behind them. The hall was huge and beautiful.Sozo stood in the E Class line.Lina stood beside him.She looked nervous.

"My parents are watching…" she whispered.Sozo nodded.Yeah… my mom is here too."Suddenly—"SOZOOOO! STAND STRAIGHT!"His mom shouted from the crowd.Everyone turned.Sozo slowly covered his face."Mom… please…" he muttered.

Lina tried not to laugh. On the other side, the Level 20 boy stood proudly in C Class. His father looked strict and serious. Then—The doors of the hall opened.A calm and elegant girl walked in.She wore a special uniform. On her chest was a shining Rank A badge.

Whispers filled the hall.

"Student Council…"

"She's Rank A!"

"She's so strong!"

Sozo looked at her quietly. He already knew her.Her name was Aria. She walked to the front and stood beside the principal. For one second—Her eyes met Sozo's.Then she looked away calmly.Lina noticed."Do you know her?" Lina whispered."So-so," Sozo replied casually. The principal stepped forward.

"Welcome students and parents," he announced loudly."From today, your journey begins."Magic fireworks exploded in the air.Parents clapped.Students felt excited.

Aria spoke next."Only the strong will rise," she said calmly."Work hard. This academy is not easy."The atmosphere became serious.Sozo looked at his E Class badge. He smiled slightly.

The principal suddenly raised his hand.Oh! Before we finish…" he said with a smile."Let's watch something interesting."A huge magic screen appeared in the air.All students looked confused."What is that?"The screen started playing…

It was the entrance test clips.

"EH?!"Students panicked.Clips showed students running from demons. Some were screaming. Some were falling. One boy was crying while swinging his sword.Parents gasped."Is that my son?!" one mother shouted. Then—A clip showed a student hiding behind a rock.

The principal zoomed in.The whole hall burst into laughter.Even teachers were trying not to laugh. The Level 20 boy looked serious…Then suddenly—A clip of him missing his first attack appeared.

Silence. Then whispering. His father coughed awkwardly.Lina covered her mouth.Sozo tried not to smile. Then—Their clip appeared.Sozo and Lina holding hands.Parents gasped loudly."OHHHHH?!"Sozo froze."That's not what it looks like!" he shouted.

His mom stood up."SOZO! YOU DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT THIS!"The hall exploded with laughter.Lina's face turned red.The principal wiped tears from laughing."Well… teamwork is important," he said proudly.Sozo wanted to disappear.Worst ceremony ever… he thought.

After the ceremony ended, the principal raised his hand.

"Parents, you may now leave," he announced."Students, you may stay and explore the academy."Parents stood up, smiling and talking excitedly. Some were still whispering about the test clips.Sozo's mom waved loudly."Be careful, Sozo! Don't do anything crazy!"Sozo groaned, covering his face.Lina giggled quietly beside him.

As the parents left, students of second and third year could be seen walking around.

They looked confident and powerful. Some were already practicing magic in the halls.Sozo and Lina watched them carefully.

E Class or not… this academy is huge, Sozo thought. And everyone is already strong…The two of them began exploring.Floating lights, moving staircases, magic books, training arenas—it was everywhere."So… this is our school life," Lina whispered, amazed."Yeah… let's see what we can do," Sozo said calmly.

Sozo walked through the academy grounds, exploring quietly. He reached a huge gate at the edge of the school. It was massive, with glowing runes and chains locking it tightly.

Curious, Sozo stepped closer.Suddenly, a teacher appeared out of nowhere."Hey! Stop right there," the teacher said sternly."Sozo… don't come near that gate," he warned.Sozo raised an eyebrow.

"Why? What's behind it?" he asked calmly. The teacher frowned, shaking his head."That door is forbidden. Even students from higher classes are not allowed near it," he said seriously.Sozo smirked slightly.Forbidden door, huh… he thought.

Sounds interesting.Lina tugged his sleeve nervously."Maybe… we shouldn't go there," she whispered.Sozo nodded, pretending to agree… but his curiosity burned quietly.

Sozo's curiosity grew as the teacher walked away.He whispered to Lina, "Let's go… I want to see that gate."Lina looked nervous."What… what are we doing?" she asked softly.Sozo smiled slightly."Shh… quiet. Trust me."

He tapped the console and activated his invisible power.A faint shimmer surrounded him—and then Lina.Lina gasped softly."So… we're invisible?" she whispered."Exactly," Sozo said calmly.

He took her hand."Come on… we're going to that gate," he said.Lina hesitated."I… I don't know if I should…"Sozo squeezed her hand gently.Don't worry… I'll protect us, he said in his mind.Together, invisible, they moved silently toward the huge locked gate.Sozo reached the huge gate.He stared at the glowing runes and thick chains.

Let's see… he thought, smirking. He raised his hand and activated just 0.001 of his power—barely anything.A tiny shimmer appeared around his fingers. The chains and runes shook slightly…

Then, with a soft click, the locks broke. The gate slowly creaked open.Lina's eyes went wide."Did… we really do that?" she whispered.Sozo nodded calmly."Yep… 0.001 power. That's all we needed," he said with a grin. The massive gate now stood open before them. This is going to be fun, Sozo thought.

Sozo and Lina stepped through the huge gate carefully. The moment they crossed the threshold, Lina gasped.

"The gate… it's closing!" she whispered, pointing behind them.Sozo's eyes narrowed. If anything happens… I can just teleport us out, he thought calmly. He glanced around the dim, glowing dimension.Strange runes floated in the air.Magic energy pulsed from every corner. And then…

He saw a figure chained in the center. So many glowing chains wrapped around the person, glowing with powerful magic. The person struggled, but the chains held tight.Sozo whispered quietly to Lina,

"Let's see… who—or what—this is."Lina swallowed nervously."So… powerful magic… all these chains…" she muttered.Sozo's eyes glimmered.Sozo and Lina carefully approached the chained person. The figure lifted their head slowly."You kids… how did you come here?" the person demanded, their voice deep and echoing."So… many questions," Sozo muttered under his breath.

The chained figure continued, "I was sealed here 50 years ago… by the 7 Supremes during a battle!"Sozo blinked.50 years? Really? And you think I care about your old fight? he thought, sighing.Lina looked nervous beside him.

"So… scary…" she whispered.Sozo whispered back, "Just… listen for now, I guess. Or… maybe I'll nap."The chained person's eyes narrowed."I was a mighty warrior! I could have destroyed worlds if not for the 7 Supremes!"Sozo yawned quietly.

Wow… so many details… and here I am bored out of my mind, he thought.Lina tried not to giggle at his expression. This is going to be a long story, Sozo muttered under his breath, shaking his head

The chained person glared at them seriously.

"I… I don't know how the locks can be undone," they said slowly."But if you go any further… you cannot return."Lina's eyes filled with tears."MC… how… how do we get home now?" she whispered, sniffing.Sozo smirked calmly."Relax… watch this," he said.

The chained person frowned, thinking. How could two kids possibly break my 50-year-old seal?Sozo lifted his hand—and with just one finger, he touched a glowing chain.A faint shimmer ran through all the barriers. Then… pop!

All the seals and chains shattered instantly. The person's eyes went wide."You… just… one finger?!" they exclaimed.Sozo shrugged casually."Eh… why use two fingers when one works?" he said with a grin.Lina blinked, jaw dropped.

"So… just one finger and everything's gone?" she whispered.Sozo nodded calmly."Yep. Easy peasy," he said. The chained person stared at him, completely speechless.Impossible… these kids… they muttered.

Lina giggled nervously.Sozo whispered with a small smile,Next time… I might just sneeze and break a dimension.

The chained person's eyes filled with tears.

"Please… be my master…" they whispered, voice trembling.

Rin blinked, scratching his head.Master? Me? he thought, smirking slightly.Lina stepped closer, tugging his sleeve.

"Rin… accept! Look…[1] they're crying!" she whispered urgently.Rin glanced at the tears running down the person's face.Well… fine, he muttered.

"Eh… okay, I accept," he said casually. The chained person's eyes widened in joy."Really?! You… you're my master?!" they shouted, tears streaming.Lina giggled behind him."So… happy… like a puppy!" she whispered.

Rin yawned and stretched."Yeah, yeah… you're mine now. But don't expect me to do your homework," he said with a grin. The chained person sniffled and nodded, still crying a little.Lina shook her head, smiling.

The chained person wiped their tears, still sniffling happily.

"My… my name is Kael," they said, voice trembling."I… I was the 6th Supreme," Kael added proudly.Rin raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly.6th Supreme, huh… he thought.Lina's eyes widened."6th Supreme?!" she whispered.Kael nodded, still sniffling.

"Yes… I was sealed here 50 years ago… and now… I have a master again," Kael said, looking at Rin with awe.Rin yawned casually."Alright, Kael… you're officially my servant now," he said with a grin.Lina giggled quietly.

Rin just made a 50-year-old Supreme cry… and now he's his servant, she thought, shaking her head.

Kael wiped his tears and nodded vigorously."Yes… Master Rin!" he shouted, still a little teary-eyed.

Rin shrugged, satisfied."Good… now don't break anything," he said, smirking.Kael nodded seriously… trying to hide the fact he was still crying a little.Lina rolled her eyes but couldn't stop giggling.Rin looked at Kael and said calmly,

"Alright… time to go home."Kael sniffled, still wiping his tears."I… I know how to get back to the gate," he said proudly.Rin raised an eyebrow."Kael… we don't need that," he said with a smirk. Before Kael could protest, Rin activated his power.

In an instant, they teleported back to the academy.

The huge gate behind them returned to normal.Chains and glowing seals were gone.Lina blinked, amazed."That… that was fast!" she whispered.Rin shrugged casually.

"Yeah… no need to follow old instructions when you have power," he said with a grin.Kael blinked, a little stunned.Master Rin… unbelievable, he muttered, still a little teary-eyed.Lina giggled quietly beside Rin.Rin really just teleported us home… like it's nothing, she thought.

Back at the academy, Rin turned to Kael."Alright… time to fit in," Rin said calmly.Kael looked confused."Fit in?" he asked.Rin smirked."Yeah… you can't walk around as a 50-year-old Supreme crying in front of everyone. Let's make you look like a normal student."

Kael nodded quickly.

With Rin's guidance, Kael used his magic to change his appearance.

In moments, Kael transformed into a teenage student, wearing the academy uniform perfectly. He looked around, blinking at his new body.Rin tapped his console lightly."Now… let's give you some memories. Don't worry… nothing too crazy… just enough to be a normal student," Rin said calmly.A soft glow surrounded Kael's head.

When it faded, Kael smiled."I… I feel different… lighter," he said, testing his new form."Good," Rin said. "Now you can attend classes, stay in E Class, and no one will suspect anything."Lina peeked at Kael and giggled."You look… normal now! But still… scary if you try to fight," she said softly.Kael nodded, still adjusting."Yes… Master Rin. I will follow your lead," he said seriously.

Rin smirked."Perfect… now let's not blow our cover in the academy," he said, walking toward the dorms.Kael followed closely, fully disguised as a normal E Class student. The next morning, Rin, Lina, and Kael walked into the E Class classroom. The room was buzzing with students.

Some were chatting. Some were practicing small spells.Kael looked around nervously, still adjusting to his new student form.Remember," Rin whispered, "act normal. No Supreme talk, no showing off, got it?"Kael nodded quickly. The E Class teacher clapped his hands."Good morning, students! Welcome to your first day!"He scanned the room.

"New students… behave, or I'll send you to the training arena immediately!"Some students giggled nervously.Kael looked at Rin and whispered,Training arena? I thought I was a Supreme… why am I scared of this?Rin smirked.

"Relax… just act like you're new," he whispered back. The teacher continued,"Today, we will start with basic magic exercises. Everyone… pick a partner."

Kael froze, looking at all the students.Partner?! he thought.Lina nudged him."Don't worry… we're partners, remember?" she whispered.Kael nodded, still looking a little pale.Suddenly, a boy next to him whispered,

"Wow… you're new too? You look… kind of weird."Kael blinked, then whispered back,"Uh… thanks?"Rin shook his head, trying not to laugh.Yep… fitting in as a student Supreme is going to be… fun, he thought.

The teacher raised his hands."Alright, start your exercises!"Kael hesitated for a moment… then lifted his hand.A tiny spark of magic appeared.Small enough to look normal… just like Rin said, he thought. Some students gasped.

"Whoa… even E Class kids have some power?" one whispered.Kael looked at Rin nervously.Just don't show too much… he thought.Rin smirked beside him. This is going to be an interesting first day.

Kael lifted his hand, trying to keep his magic small and normal.A tiny spark appeared—just enough to look like a beginner. He smiled nervously. But… Kael's old Supreme instincts kicked in.Just a little more… he thought.

Suddenly, a big burst of magic shot out, knocking over a stack of books."AAAHHH!" a student screamed as papers flew everywhere.Lina ducked behind Rin, whispering,"Rin… he's out of control!"Rin smirked, hiding a laugh.

Kael froze, realizing what he did."Oh… uh… sorry," he muttered, bowing awkwardly. The teacher's face turned red."WHAT DID I SAY?! No chaos in class!" he shouted, pointing at Kael. Some students were laughing, some were whispering.

"Even in E Class… new students are dangerous," one boy muttered.Kael blushed under his new student form.Rin leaned closer, whispering,"See? I told you… fitting in isn't easy."Kael groaned.Maybe being disguised as a student was harder than fighting a demon, he thought.Lina giggled quietly.

"Don't worry… we'll survive the first day… maybe," she whispered.Kael nodded, still embarrassed but determined.Okay… first day… survive… no breaking everything… got it, he thought.

Kael lifted his hand, trying to keep his magic small and normal.A tiny spark appeared—just enough to look like a beginner. He smiled nervously.

But… Kael's old Supreme instincts kicked in.Just a little more… he thought.Suddenly, a big burst of magic shot out, knocking over a stack of books."AAAHHH!" a student screamed as papers flew everywhere.Lina ducked behind Rin, whispering,

"MC… he's out of control!"Rin smirked, hiding a laugh.Kael froze, realizing what he did."Oh… uh… sorry," he muttered, bowing awkwardly. The teacher's face turned red.

"WHAT DID I SAY?! No chaos in class!" he shouted, pointing at Kael. Some students were laughing, some were whispering."Even in E Class… new students are dangerous," one boy muttered.

Kael blushed under his new student form.Rin leaned closer, whispering,"See? I told you… fitting in isn't easy."Kael groaned.Maybe being disguised as a student was harder than fighting a demon, he thought.Lina giggled quietly.

"Don't worry… we'll survive the first day… maybe," she whispered.Kael nodded, still embarrassed but determined.Okay… first day… survive… no breaking everything… got it, he thought. The classes finally ended for the day.

Students packed their things and started leaving the classrooms.Lina turned to Kael, smiling."I want to go meet my mom," she said. Her friends waved at her and called out,

"Hey! Come join us for lunch later!"Kael looked up at Rin."If my master comes… I'll come too," he said seriously.Rin nodded calmly."Fine… let's go," he said.Kael's eyes lit up."Yes! I'll follow you!" he said, trying to act casual but clearly excited.

Lina giggled. The three of them walked together through the academy grounds.Other students waved as they passed.Kael kept glancing around, still adjusting to life as a normal student.Lina whispered, smiling,

Lina led Rin and Kael to her home. Her mom opened the door and gasped."Lina! You're home early! And… who are these boys?" she asked, looking curious.Lina blushed slightly."This… this is my friend," she said nervously, pointing at Rin.

Kael stepped forward, bowing politely."Hello… I'm Kael," he said in his new student form.Lina's mom looked at Rin and smiled."You two must be friends at school?" she asked.Rin nodded calmly.

"Yes… just friends," he said casually, showing his E Class badge.Kael's eyes widened.Master's badge… so shiny… he thought, impressed.Lina's mom turned to Kael, noticing him.

"And you, Kael… you're a friend too?" she asked.Kael straightened, puffing out his chest a little."Yes! I… follow my master!" he said proudly, then quickly realized how it sounded.Lina giggled behind him.

Rin smirked quietly.Kael blushed slightly, mumbling,"Eh… just helping my master, that's all…"Lina's mom laughed softly."Well… I'm glad you're all friends. Come in, have some lunch!"The three of them stepped inside.Kael kept glancing at Rin, still amazed by him.

Lina's mom served lunch on the table.

Kael's eyes widened as he looked at the plates."Wow… food… smells… amazing," he whispered, almost in awe.Lina giggled."Kael… it's just lunch," she said softly.Kael looked around nervously, still trying to act like a normal student. He reached for a spoon… and accidentally sent a tiny spark of magic flying, causing a carrot to float and spin in the air.

"AAH!" Lina yelped, ducking.Rin leaned back calmly, smirking."Relax… it's just lunch, not a battlefield," he said, quietly touching the carrot and making it land on the plate.

Kael's face turned red."Eh… I… I didn't mean… magic just… happens sometimes…" he stammered.Lina's mom shook her head, laughing softly."Kids these days… even lunch is exciting!" she said.

Kael tried to eat normally but kept glancing at Rin.Master Rin… eating calmly… so casual… he thought, clearly impressed.Rin smirked quietly, noticing Kael staring, and leaned back, enjoying the show.Lina giggled beside him.

Night had fallen, and Rin walked down the quiet road.Kael walked beside him, still a little nervous and wide-eyed.Rin stopped in the middle of an empty courtyard and smiled slightly.

"Kael… it's time I make you a proper place to stay," he said calmly.Kael blinked."A… a place? For me?" he asked, confused and excited.Rin waved his hand.Glowing runes appeared in the air.

Magic swirled around Kael, and in an instant, a small new dimension formed—warm, safe, and fully furnished.Kael's eyes went wide. This… this is… amazing! he whispered, looking around and touching the walls, furniture, and glowing lights in awe.

Lina, walking beside Rin, smiled quietly. She wasn't surprised at all.I've seen this master do crazy stuff so many times… she thought, watching Kael's jaw drop.Kael turned to Rin, eyes sparkling.

"Master… you… made this… just for me?" he asked, voice full of awe.Rin nodded calmly."Yeah… now you have your own space. Don't mess it up," he said, smirking.Kael nodded quickly, still exploring, clearly amazed.Lina chuckled quietly.

Night had fully fallen.

Everyone was back in their own homes.Lina lay in her bed, hugging her pillow, staring at the ceiling. She thought about the day… the academy, the tests, the magic, and… Rin.He's so calm… so powerful… but still… somehow… normal when he wants to be, she thought. She remembered Kael's surprised face when Rin created that new dimension.Even Kael is amazed… and I've seen him do crazy things before, Lina mused, smiling softly. Her mind wandered back to Rin's quiet smirk earlier…Why does he always look so confident? Even when things are dangerous… he never panics…She hugged her pillow tighter, a small blush on her cheeks.I wonder what tomorrow will bring… she thought, letting a tiny smile form.Outside, the moon shone quietly over the academy.Inside her room, Lina finally closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep, thinking about all the adventures yet to come… and the mysterious boy who had captured her thoughts.

Rin lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling.Boring… nothing to do… I need something to watch, he thought.Suddenly, his console system buzzed.

System ActivatedDimension TV ready.

A soft glow appeared in the room, and a magic screen floated in front of him.Rin sat up, smirking slightly.Perfect… now I can finally watch my favorite show, he thought.he waved his hand, and the screen responded immediately.Nice… and I can connect to other things too, Rin mused, testing a few gestures. The screen flickered, showing different channels, magical streams, and even a small game menu.Rin leaned back on his bed, smiling.Boredom… officially over, he thought, pressing a few buttons on the floating console. The room filled with soft light from the magic screen, Rin finally relaxing… and plotting what to do next

Rin leaned back on his bed, staring at the floating magic screen.Huh… this system can do anything… he thought, fingers tapping lightly on the console.A mischievous smirk appeared on his face. What if… I go to the God Realm? He paused for a moment, thinking. Why not? Let's see what happens…With a few precise gestures, the console glowed brighter.

Runes swirled in the air, and a small portal began forming on the screen, reflecting in the room as if it were real.Rin's eyes sparkled.Alright… here goes nothing, he muttered, standing up.He waved his hand over the console, activating the portal fully. The room shimmered with golden light as the portal stabilized.Heh… this is going to be interesting, Rin thought, stepping closer to the magical gateway.Outside, the night was quiet, but inside Rin's room, magic pulsed with a thrilling energy.God Realm… here I come, he whispered with a confident grin.

Rin stepped through the portal, and his eyes widened. He was in the God Realm—a vast, glowing space filled with countless gods floating on ethereal platforms. Some gods were reading scrolls, others were creating stars, and a few were shaping worlds with a flick of their fingers.

Rin's gaze fell on one god in particular, focused and busy. This god was sending dead people to different worlds as heroes, giving them powers, weapons, and quests.Amazing… they actually get a second life as heroes, Rin thought, impressed. He looked around and saw countless worlds floating in the God Realm—some glowing brightly, some dark and mysterious. Then, Rin's eyes landed on a familiar one. That's my world… and so many others exist too, he thought, awestruck. The god continued their work, completely focused, unaware of Rin watching.Rin smiled slightly. So this is how heroes are made… maybe I can learn something here… he muttered.Around him, the God Realm pulsed with energy, glowing stars, and countless magical possibilities.Wow… this place… endless potential, Rin thought, excitement sparking in his eyes.

Rin floated in the God Realm, his eyes scanning the countless worlds below. Then, something caught his attention.Wait… that's my old world?! he thought, squinting.A glowing panel appeared, showing a ranking of how people in each world died.Rin leaned closer, eyes wide.

"Most… people died by… Truck-Kun?!" he muttered, trying not to laugh.

He pointed at the list:

"World #1 – 37% Truck-Kun accidents…World #2 – 22% accidental magic mishaps…World #3 – 15% eaten by monsters…And my world… wow… 37% just by trucks?!"

Rin shook his head, chuckling.Humans really can't survive everyday life… even without demons, he thought, smirking. He tapped a few runes on his console, zooming in on his old city."Wow… unbelievable… people keep getting hit by trucks, and here I thought my world was dangerous because of monsters," he muttered, shaking his head with a grin. The gods around him floated silently, working, completely oblivious to his amusement. This God Realm… seriously interesting… Rin thought, excitement sparkling in his eyes.

As Rin floated in the God Realm, enjoying the view of countless worlds, a lady god suddenly appeared before him.Her eyes glowed with authority as she looked down."You… which god are you?" she demanded, her voice sharp.Rin froze, panic flashing in his eyes.Uh-oh… what do I say now? I'm not a god… he thought, heart racing.Thinking fast, Rin grinned mischievously."Look back," he said casually. The lady god tilted her head, confused, and looked behind her.Rin smirked. In an instant, he activated his console, and he vanished from the God Realm. The lady god spun around, but Rin was already gone.Moments later, Rin appeared back in his bed, lying down casually as if nothing happened.Phew… that was close, he muttered, stretching. He glanced at the floating magic screen, still glowing softly.God Realm… fun, but maybe next time, I'll be more careful, Rin thought, smirking.

The next day, Rin, Kael, and Lina were sitting in their E Class classroom.

The teacher was droning on about history of magic kingdoms, pointing at a floating magical board.Rin, of course, was lying on his desk, fast asleep, one hand dangling lazily over the side.Kael nudged him gently, whispering,"Master… what were you doing last night?"Rin yawned slowly, stretching, and replied casually,"Oh… I went to the God Realm."Kael's eyes went completely wide, nearly popping out of his head."The… what?! The God Realm?! At night…?!" he whispered frantically.Rin smirked lazily."Yep. Checked out some worlds, looked at my old world, and… avoided a lady god who asked too many questions," he said, wiggling his fingers.Kael's jaw dropped so much he almost fell off his chair."Master… that's… that's insane! You just… went there… alone… at night!" he stammered.Rin yawned again."Relax… it's fun. You should try it sometime… but, you know… don't get caught," he said casually.Kael gulped and nodded quickly, trying not to faint.Meanwhile, the teacher paused mid-sentence, glaring at Rin."Rin! Are you listening? This is history class!"Rin opened one eye lazily, smirked, and muttered,"History… snooze… good nap," before closing his eyes again.Kael groaned, facepalming.Master Rin… impossible to understand… he thought.

Rin yawned, lying on his desk, and suddenly a mischievous grin appeared on his face.Hmm… maybe a little fun… he thought. He waved his hand slightly, activating a 0.0001-level air skill—so tiny, almost invisible.A small gust of wind blew across the classroom… right at the teacher. The teacher gasped, hair and robes fluttering. She stumbled a little, looking flustered, her cheeks red."Who… did this?!" she shouted angrily, trying to fix her robes and regain her composure. All the students looked around nervously, confused, but no one admitted anything.Kael leaned toward Rin, whispering,"Master… what… what just happened?"Rin smirked lazily, eyes half-closed.Just a little fun… no one will know, he thought.Kael shook his head, a mix of awe and horror on his face.My master's mind… so naughty… sometimes I wonder if he's thinking like a child… or a trickster god, Kael muttered quietly, trying not to laugh. The teacher's face was still red as she scowled, pacing in front of the class."Someone… pay attention! This is a history class, not a playground!" she shouted, clearly embarrassed.Rin yawned again, completely unfazed.Heh… best nap ever, he thought, smirking quietly as Kael stared at him in disbelief.

Next class, a new teacher came."Today I will teach you how to control your enemy," the teacher said.He called a boy and used magic. The boy followed all the teacher's commands like a slave.Rin thought, Let's try…He tried the magic on Lina.Lina ran and hugged Rin like he was her husband. All the students were jealous. The teacher was shocked.Rin said, "Sir, how can I make Lina normal?"The teacher asked, "How much time limit do you think is needed?"Rin said, "I don't think."The teacher's face turned red.

The teacher said,"You don't think about the time limit? Then I don't know when your magic will end. It can be 1 day… 1 week… 1 year… or even a whole life!"All the boys in the class were jealous, whispering and staring."Wow… he is so lucky!" one boy muttered."Why Lina… why her?!" another groaned.Kael's eyes widened, staring at Rin in shock. My master is… amazing… and crazy… he thought. Then, Lina suddenly hugged Rin tightly and kissed him on the lips, right in front of everyone. All the boys screamed and turned red, covering their faces. The teacher's mouth dropped open, shocked.Impossible… what… is happening here?!" he shouted.Kael groaned, facepalming. My master… he is unbelievable…everywhere Rin went, Lina followed him.She always hugged his shoulder.

In the hallway… hug.In class… hug.Even during lunch… hug.At lunch time, Lina sat very close to Rin.She picked up food and fed him with her own hand."Open your mouth," she said sweetly. All the boys in the cafeteria were crying inside."Why him again?!" one boy said.Kael sat far away, watching in shock.Master… this is too much power… he thought. Rin looked calm, but inside he was a little troubled. He secretly opened his system screen."How to solve this?" Rin asked quietly. The system answered:Time limit: 1.5 days.Because no time limit was set, system automatically set limit.Rin stared at the screen."1.5 days…?" he whispered. He looked at Lina, who was still happily holding his arm.Rin sighed softly. So I have to face Lina like this for 1.5 days…Kael looked at Rin and thought,Master… stay strong…It was time to go home.Rin was standing in front of his house.Lina was still hugging his shoulder tightly.Rin looked nervous. What should I tell my mom…? he thought.Lina smiled happily, resting her head on his shoulder.Rin swallowed."Lina… maybe you should—"Before he finished…The door suddenly opened.Rin froze. His mom stood at the door. She looked at Rin.Then she looked at Lina holding his shoulder. Then back at Rin.There was a long silence.Rin started sweating."M-Mom… this is not what you think…" he said quickly.Lina looked up sweetly and said,"Hello, Auntie."Rin's mom slowly smiled."Oh? My son… you came home with a cute girl?" she said teasingly.Rin's face turned red."It's just magic! School magic!" he said fast.Lina hugged him tighter."Rin is very kind," she said softly.Rin's mom laughed."Kind, huh? Since when did my sleepy son become popular?"Rin sighed. This is worse than the God Realm… he thought. His mom stepped aside and said,"Well, don't just stand there. Bring your 'friend' inside."Rin gulped.1.5 days… I have to survive 1.5 days of this…Rin took a deep breath."Mom… I need to explain something," he said seriously. He told her everything about the class, the control magic, and how he forgot to set the time limit. His mom listened carefully… then slowly smiled."So… your magic failed?" she asked.Rin nodded."Yes… 1.5 days," he said. His mom laughed softly."Interesting mistake."Rin then used his magic device and called Lina's mom.He explained everything politely. After some talking, it was decided—Lina would stay at Rin's house tonight.Rin felt nervous. Why is this getting bigger…? he thoughtDinner time came.Rin sat at the table. He tried to eat by himself… but Lina stopped him."I will feed you," she said sweetly. She gently held the spoon and fed him.Rin's face turned slightly red.His mom was sitting across the table… watching everything with a big smile."So sweet," she said softly.Rin almost choked."Mom, please don't say anything…"Lina smiled and wiped a little sauce from Rin's lips with a napkin.Rin froze. His mom leaned forward and said teasingly,"What if Lina becomes your real wife one day?"Rin's brain stopped working."W-WHAT?!" he shouted.Lina blushed but didn't let go of his arm."I don't mind…" she said quietly.Rin turned completely red.His mom laughed happily."My son growing up so fast," she said dramatically.Rin covered his face.

It was time to sleep.Rin felt very nervous.I have to sleep in the same room… he thought. His mom smiled and said,"Good night, my son."Rin nodded quickly."Good night…"He went to his room.Lina also came inside quietly. The room was calm. The moonlight came through the window.Rin lay on one side of the bed, very stiff. Why is my heart beating so fast…? he thought.Lina lay beside him.Rin tried to close his eyes…But he couldn't sleep. He slowly looked at Lina. She had a beautiful smile. The moonlight made her look even softer.Rin quickly looked away.Calm down… calm down… he told himself. Suddenly, Lina spoke softly."Rin…"He froze."Yes…?"Lina looked at him gently."Don't make me normal."Rin blinked."What?""I want to stay like this… I want to live with you… because I love you with my heart," she said honestly.Rin's brain stopped working. His face turned red.He opened his mouth… but no words came out. What do I say…? he thought. The room was quiet.Only the soft moonlight and their heartbeats.Rin had no idea what to say next.

Lina's eyes slowly filled with tears.

She tried to smile… but tears fell down her cheeks.Rin saw her crying. His heart felt heavy. He suddenly remembered his past.

In his past life… no one cried for him.No one stayed beside him.No one said they loved him.He looked at Lina again. She was crying for him.Rin slowly moved closer and gently hugged her."I'm sorry, Lina…" he said softly. She trembled in his arms."Why…?" she asked quietly.Rin closed his eyes."You are not the real Lina right now… You are only like this because of my magic," he said honestly."I made this happen… and I didn't think about your feelings."Lina held his shirt tightly."But my feelings feel real…" she whispered.Rin's heart shook. He didn't know what to say.He just held her gently."Let's sleep now," he said softly.Lina stayed in his arms.Slowly, her breathing became calm.Rin looked at the moonlight coming from the window.Even if it is magic… her tears are real, he thought. He closed his eyes slowly. Both of them fell asleep quietly… holding each other.

Next morning…

Soft sunlight came through the window. Rin slowly opened his eyes.Lina was beside him. After a few seconds, Lina opened her eyes too.She blinked once… twice…Then suddenly she moved back fast."W-Why am I here?!" she shouted. She looked around the room, confused.Rin checked his system screen quickly.Magic effect: Ended.Time limit: 1.5 days – Completed.Rin took a small breath. So… it's over, he thought.Lina held her head."Last thing I remember… class… control magic…"She slowly realized she stayed at Rin's house. She remembered hugging him.Feeding him.Sleeping beside him.Her face turned completely red."D-Don't tell me… I did all that by myself?!"Rin looked calm but slightly embarrassed."Yes. Magic ended this morning."Lina covered her face with a pillow."This is so embarrassing!" she cried.Rin looked at the window quietly. Now… what will she think about me? he wondered.Outside the room, his mom's voice came happily:"Good morning~ Is my future daughter-in-law awake?"Lina froze.Rin closed his eyes slowly.…New problem unlocked, he thought.
