Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Wolf

When Azura's eyes fluttered open, the first thing she registered was the unfamiliar ceiling. It was too ornate, too... fancy. Her brain, still booting up like a dial-up modem, took a solid two minutes to process the information.

Then, like a system shock, it all came rushing back.

The frozen dumpling box. The glorious, idiotic way she'd died. Transmigrating into a werewolf world. A werewolf harem porn world, where the characters' libido was so high they probably fucked in their sleep. And the absolute, soul-crushing cherry on top of this shit sundae: she was the evil sister.

Her.

A woman who cried when she stepped on dead spider, now cast as the villain who tortures her own sibling.

"Ugh," she groaned, flopping back against the pillows and clutching her forehead.

This was a cosmic joke. She knew the genre, but since she'd only skimmed the spicy chapters, she had no idea what the actual plot was.

Was there a plot? Or was it just 500 chapters of creative boning?

But then, a new thought clicked into place, a single, terrifying puzzle piece.

"Wait a minute... step-family... dead dad... MIA mom... So our mom remarried, and her new husband's sons and brother are part of Selena's future harem?"

She scratched her head, a frantic motion that did nothing to untangle the mess in her brain.

"The thing is... I don't know the timeline! Did our Mom just grab Selena and bolt to a new pack? Or did she drag me and Jonathan along for the ride? Or was it some 'meet-cute' disaster where they all hooked up without realizing they were basically related by marriage? AHHH!!! This is useless! What's the point of transmigrating into a novel if you don't even get the damn CliffNotes?! Why, out of the thousands of books I've read, did I have to land in the one where I only read the porn scenes and skipped the entire plot?!"

Frustration boiled over, and Azura began to roll back and forth on her king-sized bed like a human rolling pin, muttering curses against fictional authors and frozen dumplings.

A minute later, she flopped to a stop, staring at the ceiling as a new, brilliant plan formed.

If she wanted to avoid the protagonist's eventual, painful revenge plot, she had to fix things now.

She needed to get on Selena's good side before she was whisked away by her four-man harem of doom.

So, starting today, Azura's new life goal was clear...

Stalking Selena!

She would shower the girl with clothes and food, because Selena currently looked like she'd been dressed by a blind raccoon and hadn't had a decent meal in weeks!

She would shower her with sisterly love, delivering heartfelt monologues about their unbreakable bond, even if it made her want to gag!

This was the perfect plan, a foolproof strategy to rewrite her destiny from 'evil sister' to 'beloved side character.'

What could possibly go wrong with a plan that involved stalking, forced affection, and borderline harassment?

Absolutely nothing, right....?

She thought, with the kind of delusional confidence only a truly desperate person could muster.

'Hey, human.'

The voice was a sudden, intrusive thought, clear as a bell and completely unwelcome. Azura jolted so hard she nearly launched herself off the bed. She whipped her head around, scanning the room.

Empty.

The curtains were still, the door was shut. The voice... it was inside her head.

She wiped a bead of sweat from her brow, trying to laugh it off.

"Heh... must be imagining things. Yeah, just a half-dream hangover..."

'Don't lie to yourself. You can hear me perfectly well, can't you?'

"???!!!"

Azura scrambled backward, snatching a fluffy pillow and clutching it to her chest like a holy shield.

"What the heck?! Who are you?! What kind of spirit, demon, or telemarketer are you?! Get out of my head!"

A sneer, laced with ancient contempt, echoed in her mind.

'Who am I? I'm the one who should be asking the questions. Who are you? Why are you in this body, and where is the real Azura's soul?'

Azura's vision suddenly blurred, and she found herself standing in a vast, ethereal space inside her own mind. There, sitting with regal disdain, was a massive white wolf with eyes that gleamed like molten silver. The pieces clicked together.

"Wait... are you Azura's wolf? I mean, this world's Azura?"

The wolf let out a huff that sounded suspiciously like a Karen being told her coupon expired.

'Yes. Azura's soul vanished last night, and I was knocked out for hours. When I finally woke up, I found some random stray soul squatting in my territory like a homeless raccoon. So who are you, girl? Are you some witch who stole a she-wolf's body? But you don't smell like witchcraft. You smell... human. How can useless human like you possibly have the skill to pull this off?'

Azura's eye twitched. Useless? Oh hell no.

"Who are you calling useless, you wet-snouted furball? No wonder you're stuck with 'Azura'—you're both trash! Bullies! A matching set of garbage cans with legs!"

The wolf's hackles rose, her growl low and dangerous.

'Watch your tongue, worm. I could tear your soul apart in this mental space.'

"Oh yeah?! Do it then! Go ahead! If I die, this body dies too. So even if the real Azura's soul comes back, she'll find herself a nice little coffin. And don't forget—YOU'LL die too! So let's all die together! A big, happy suicide pact! Come on, I dare you!"

The wolf, who had been mid-lunge, froze mid-air. Her paws hovered, claws extended but unmoving. The growl deepened, rattling the mental space, but she stayed rooted.

Azura puffed out her chest, a smug grin spreading across her face. Although inside, her heart was hammering like a jackhammer, and her knees were doing the cha-cha, but her annoyance had hijacked the adrenaline controls.

"Listen! I died in my world, okay?! One minute I'm minding my own business, the next I'm waking up in some stranger's body. Do you really think I WANTED to become this Azura, even if we share the same name?! I mean, yeah, sure—she's got these massive meat buns that would make a bakery jealous, and her body looks like it walked straight out of a adult film, but that doesn't mean I wanted to inherit this flesh prison, alright?!"

Because this world was a smut novel, Azura's brain had automatically defaulted to 'Porn Mode.' Every observation she made was filtered through a lens of spicy tropes, including her own new anatomy.

The wolf stared at her, utterly baffled.

Meat buns. She called her she-wolf's breasts meat buns.

Last night, when Azura had cupped them in amusement and muttered something about meat buns, the wolf had thought she was just disoriented. Now she realized the human might simply be mentally defective.

The wolf let out a long, tired sigh. If this lunatic's story was true, then her Azura's soul had either returned to the Moon Goddess... or maybe, just maybe, had transmigrated into this dead girl's body in another world.

Either way, the wolf was exhausted. She turned her body away, curling up like a displeased cat, refusing to even look at Azura.

'I don't want to see you or hear your nonsense until the real Azura returns. I'm going into a deep sleep. Get lost.'

"Heh... are you actually pouting? A mighty wolf, pouting like a toddler who dropped his ice cream? That's kinda pathe—"

Before she could finish, a massive spectral paw kicked her square in the mental face, sending her consciousness hurtling back into reality.

Azura's eyes snapped open.

She was back in the bedroom, still sitting on the bed, pillow still clutched to her chest like a security blanket. She blinked, catching her breath.

And then she noticed it.

She wasn't alone.

Oh no.
