Chapter 281 - Chapter 1: The Night After the War

"Master, another bowl."

"Master, is the steak not ready yet?"

"Uh... M, Master, I'm still not full..."

Rin regretted it. Rin truly regretted it! She regretted it from the bottom of her heart. One Jalter was enough, but why did she have to bring home two Sabers, one blue and one black? The moment she adopted them, she forgot the inherent passive skill of all Saber-face characters:

Gluttony: EX!

At this moment, Rin, teary-eyed and wearing an apron, wished she could split herself into three in the kitchen, steaming rice, grilling meat, stir-frying dishes... She was incredibly busy, while the three Servants sat at the dining table like hungry little sparrows, waiting with open mouths for food.

Am I a Master?! I'm clearly a nanny with three kids!

Why did I have to bring them home for dinner? It would have been better to just take them to a restaurant in Shinto (New City) and let them eat to their heart's content. I brought this upon myself... Rin's fingers trembled with regret and remorse, and she squeezed the spatula so hard it bent.

By the time all three Servants were fed, Rin was completely exhausted. The kitchen's entire stock of ingredients at the Tohsaka Residence was completely wiped out; not even a single green onion remained. In the end, Rin, who also had a big appetite, had nothing left to eat.

If it weren't for the properties still in Misaki, the Tohsaka Family's fortune would eventually be eaten through by these three Servants. Just supporting them myself would probably leave me eating dirt.

Rin covered her head with her apron and leaned back on the sofa, ignoring Jalter, who was dragging the black Saber off to play games, and Saber, who followed, fearing that her pure, childlike counterpart would be led astray by that witch Jalter. She closed her eyes, contemplating future matters.

The plot of the Type-Moon World after the Fourth Holy Grail War, the next closest event would be Roa's 17th reincarnation, but that's still a year away. Speaking of which, Touko should have already met Alba and Araya Souren at the Clock Tower by now. Oh, right, there are a few things I need to ask Touko to help with.

Rin picked up her phone and dialed an international call to England:

"Beep! Moshi moshi, Touko, it's Rin."

Touko's long-unheard voice came through the receiver.

"Unusual. What makes you think of calling me? Has your world-saving Holy Grail War already ended?"

"Yes, it has ended."

"Is that so? And you're still able to call me, which means you won?"

"Of course. But I have a favor to ask you now. You're in Europe, and I need your help."

"What is it?"

"Could you contact the Church for me? Look for a child named Karen Hortensia. Her father, Kirei Kotomine, was dispatched by the Church to the Mages Association as a participant in this Holy Grail War, so he should be easy to find. Both her father and grandfather died in this Holy Grail War, and he happened to be my father's disciple, so our family can't just ignore it. In a few days, I'll send you the adoption letter from the Tohsaka Family. Please help me retrieve her."

"Asking the Church for a person? That's not something you should ask a Magus for, hmm... Alright, since you're asking, there's no helping it. I'll have someone deliver her to Fuyuki City."

"Okay, that's all."

"Beep!"

With a'snap,' Rin hung up the phone and let out a long sigh. It was so much easier when she didn't have to do things herself.

Karen is at most six years old now; her Stigmata won't manifest until she's nine. Right now, she's just a Little Girl who has been largely ignored. It's unlikely the Church would bother to cross the Aozaki Family, who represent the Fifth Magic, and the Tohsaka Family, one of the few families on good terms with the Church.

Especially since the Tohsaka Family won the Fourth Holy Grail War... Thinking of this, Rin raised her right hand and looked at her open palm, where a goblet-like imprint slowly emerged. Rin smiled knowingly.

Third Magic: chalice · Soul Materialization!

If there was anything that could best prove victory in the Holy Grail War, it was undoubtedly the Third Magic, the core of the Holy Grail ritual. The Einzbern family pursued the chalice for a thousand years, their fundamental goal being to complete the incomplete and lost Third Magic, which is why they spearheaded the Holy Grail War. Now, all the fruits of victory have been reaped by Rin!

Since the Holy Grail War had ended, the contract link between Saber and Kiritsugu Emiya had naturally been severed. Rin had already established a new contract link with Saber and used the power of the Third Magic to complete Saber's soul, stealing her Spirit Origin from the Hall of Heroes through the contract link, turning her into a truly complete Heroic Spirit. From then on, Artoria on the Throne of Heroes no longer existed.

The situation with the black Saber was very special, because the black mud of all the worlds evils itself was a product similar to soul materialization, and thus the black Saber formed from it was like a complete Third Magic creation, making it very easy for her to complete the contract with Rin.

687 When I have time, I'll also make them real bodies. After all, no matter how much it seems like living, it's not truly living.

Looking at the three linked contract imprints extending on the back of her hand, Rin murmured in her heart. She then sat up from the sofa and looked out at the night sky, in the direction of the Zenjou Household.

"It's time for a family reunion..."

Looking in the direction of her family, Rin's heart was filled with countless thoughts, difficult to calm.

Her heart grew even more timid as she approached the Tohsaka Residence. A naughty child who had run away from home without a word, and had given no news for two years, was now suddenly returning. Even though she was returning in glory, she still felt a knot of anxiety in her heart. She hadn't even felt this level of unease when challenging Gilgamesh.

"Sigh~ I'm afraid Sakura must resent me a lot, right? I so irresponsibly threw the heavy burden of inheriting the family onto her without a word. After all, with Magics like this, suffering is inevitable... Hmm?"

Just then, Rin sensed that someone was knocking on the Tohsaka Family's door. However, it didn't seem to be with malicious intent, but rather a proper visit with a knock.

A guest arriving at this hour, Rin couldn't help but curiously activate her Clairvoyance to look towards the front door.

"Kiritsugu Emiya..."
