The shoot ended at six.
Soo-Yeon found her at the coat rack — the same place she'd approached her after the Kova shoot, she noticed. It seemed to be where the real conversations happened.
"I want to send you the selects before we go to layout," Soo-Yeon said. "Is that alright?"
"Of course."
"I'll also be shooting an exhibition piece in September. Not commercial. Personal project. I'd like you to be part of it." She said this in the tone of someone who is offering something they don't offer easily. "No rate — it's unfunded. But the exhibition will be at a gallery that matters and I'll make sure your name is attached."
Lina thought: September. The baby will be three weeks old.
She thought: the gallery that matters.
She thought: Soo-Yeon Park's personal exhibition, with attribution.
She thought about a woman who had missed every opportunity in her first life because she had been too busy managing someone else's feelings to notice they were available.
