Chapter 26 - The Fennic Campaign

The Fennic campaign dropped on a Monday in a way that campaigns sometimes drop when the brand's social team has done their job — not with noise exactly, but with that particular quality of suddenly-everywhere that means the right people saw it at the right moment.

Lucien did not follow the fashion industry. He had no reason to. He had people who tracked market trends in the sectors the Cole Group operated in, and fashion-adjacent markets were not among them.

He saw it on a billboard.

He was in the car on the way to a breakfast meeting — Tuesday morning, the driver taking the route through the commercial district that ran past the new development the Cole Group had an interest in — when he looked up and stopped processing whatever he had been processing and simply looked.

It was a large-format outdoor campaign. Two images side by side: one a close architectural study of fabric, the other a face.
