Reborn in the wizarding world with a gamer interface, Lane Smith realizes that he doesn't need to be the savior of the magical world to be its strongest wizard. But Lane isn’t interested in dangerous destiny. For him, the true essence of magic is found in everyday life: studying spells, managing an inherited castle, and uncovering the mysteries of the world at his own pace. Along his journey to the top, Lane discovers that ultimate strength isn't just about leveling up—it's about finding romance, inner peace, and the perfect balance in the magical halls of Hogwarts.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Mysterious Blacksmith

"Where am I?" Zhou Yi suddenly woke up.

His mind was a jumble, as if filled with putty; it was overflowing with the memories of a seven-year-old English boy: short and hot, painful and sorrowful, and ultimately numb.

"My name is Ryan Smith."

Suddenly realizing the language had switched from Chinese to English, a deep, echoing male voice transformed into a clear, childlike voice, as if two people were speaking in the small room.

"I am a wizard, descended from a small family in Britain."

"My mother and father died in a magic experiment when I was 5 years old, leaving me and a house-elf to live together."

When the clear voice was heard, it felt as if a pitcher of ice water had been poured over his head from above.

I was born on July 31, 1980, the same birthday as Harry Potter, who defeated Lord Voldemort. Shortly after, Lord Voldemort was defeated, and family life became more peaceful. My Ravenclaw parents finally had free time to begin their own little experiments.

"Ah, Jack."

Ryan was confronted by a being with two large ears resembling bat ears and protruding green eyes the size of tennis balls.

"Young Master Ryan, how can I help you?"

"Bring me a cup of black tea and light a candle; I'd like to sit for a while."

Ryan rubbed his temples.

After organizing his memories, a strange feeling came over him.

Under the influence of this feeling, Ryan could see his own soul shining like a bright moon, surrounded by diamond-like particles, slowly being drawn towards the moon and merging with it. And his consciousness, through an invisible extension, touched this "celestial body."

Then, suddenly, it was thrown outside, and a panel emitting blue light appeared in front of it. Ryan looked at the house-elf. Jack realized that only he could see it.

In the upper right corner was a full-body photograph of Ryan Smith. If he focused his mind on looking more closely, he could see more detail: not like a 7-year-old child, but a 149 cm tall boy with short black hair, silver-white eyes, fair skin, and still a slight trace of baby fat.

There was a sequence of numbers below the status bar:

Race: Wizard

Power: 5 (The normal human limit is 10)

Constitution: 20 (The normal human limit is 10)

Magical Power: 10 (The normal human limit is 10)

Skill: Thinking Level 1 (3%)

This suddenly discovered talent caught Ryan's attention. When he noticed the skill column, he instantly grasped its source: as long as he focused wholeheartedly on a single task, a skill would develop, and there would be no upper limit to its development.

After roughly understanding the panel's basic principle, he turned his attention to the columns of Strength, Constitution, and Magical Power.

"This sounds very interesting; wasn't it originally called mental strength?" Ryan thought to himself.

Unexpectedly, the panel transformed into "Magical Power" at his request.

Suddenly, dawn had broken. Looking at the sun, he murmured to himself: "Four more years, Hogwarts, wait for me, I'm coming."

Smith is a common English surname, originally referring to someone who made objects from metal, and it has always been an important profession throughout history. However, in the Wizarding World, it refers to a rare family skilled in alchemy. This surname possesses a unique kind of magic; each Smith is one of the most ordinary people in the crowd.

The walls of a silver-white metal room were covered with magnificent magical runes. Directly opposite the entrance stood a portrait of a gentle-looking old man. From the old man radiated a rich golden family tree stretching back to the Middle Ages, including the old man himself and his earliest ancestor.

At the very bottom, there was only one name: Ryan Smith.

Upon closer examination, it becomes clear that this name derives from Ouroboros snakes that constantly eat their own tails, while other names are derived from various magical creatures (Rainbow birds, Phoenixes, and even Trolls), but these magical creatures are already motionless and symbolize death.

Ryan was slowly examining a book called The Smith Annals in this room.

This place was filled with inventions, production methods, and materials from our various ancestors.

There were pure metal wands made of mithril mixed with hundreds of magical creatures, Invisibility Cloaks that not only made one invisible but also blended with the environment, and Wisdom Headbands that cooled the scalp.

The greatest invention among these was this small room, an alchemical laboratory that could be carried by the head of the family and accessed only by a blacksmith. The magical runes on its interior walls were the ultimate manifestation of the magic inherited by the Smith family.

So, this invention belonged to the old man William Smith.

Every Smith must have an invention or creation of their own before they turn 25; otherwise, they'll never be allowed back into that little room. Their former parents never started their own experiments due to economic reasons and the chaos created by the Death Eaters.

The disappearance of Lord Voldemort, the arrival of peace, and the economic recovery, paradoxically, led to their deaths.

His father's name was George Smith. George's metal wand was responsible for his parents' deaths. In the wizarding world, it's also called a "weapon" and is known as a metal wand.

Three days had passed since Ryan's awakening.

Race: Wizard

Power: 7 (The normal human limit is 10)

Constitution: 21 (The normal human limit is 10)

Magical Power: 10 (The normal human limit is 10)

Skills: Thinking level 2 (5%), Body Modification level 2 (70%), Alchemy level 1 (0.1%)

These were the results of three days of effort. In addition to researching his credentials, Ryan was also insistent on getting up early each morning to read and exercise.

Thinking level 2 had already made Ryan's mind agile and significantly improved his memory. He was even slowly beginning to recall memories from a previous life he thought he had long forgotten.

Body Modification Level 2 further improved his body toward a more perfect and healthy state.

Ultimately, as Ryan slowly came to remember from the Harry Potter stories, positioning was crucial, whether in the film or novel version. Someone who could escape fast enough wouldn't be able to be caught by even an Avada Kedavra.

Regarding the importance of the Constitution, like Professor McGonagall, who was considered a powerful wizard in the original series, she was subjected to Stun Charms 4 or 5 times in the fifth book, The Order of the Phoenix, and nearly died due to her weakness and age. Hagrid, on the other hand, shrugged off spells thanks to his powerful constitution and giant blood, completely unaffected even while breaking through a siege.

"Looking at the old issues of the Daily Prophet that Jack has been bringing me over the past few days, I can roughly confirm that I haven't been teleported into a standard fan fiction novel."

"But that's a little sad; I won't get to see Snape constantly flaunting his magic and calling people 'troll-brained,' or Dumbledore using Legilimency and adding Veritaserum to drinks and snacks," Ryan thought to himself.

"Dealing with Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes is relatively easy."

Ravenclaw's crown is in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts; it is known to have been destroyed by Fiendfyre and Basilisk venom.

The diary can be accessed by directly checking on Ginny in her second year.

Slytherin's locket must either wait for Sirius to be cleared of all charges, or be obtained through him at the Black family's house.

The remaining four are even more problematic: Hufflepuff's cup is in Lestrange's vault, the Resurrection Stone or ring is in the Gaunt family's old house, surrounded by magic planted by Lord Voldemort, and Nagini is always by Lord Voldemort's side.

As for Harry Potter, if everything goes wrong, he could be killed.

Actually, the simplest way would be to send Dumbledore a direct, anonymous letter. As long as he's careful when acquiring the Resurrection Stone Horcrux and doesn't succumb to the urge to wear it, Dumbledore could probably handle the rest—except for Harry Potter and Nagini—in a single day if he acts quickly.

Although Smith Castle had repelled three invasions by Lord Voldemort thanks to its unique magic, the Smith family, known for its secrecy, was largely unknown among pureblood families and the public.

Because he possessed such a bizarre kind of magic, he had no reason to fear being exposed by writing to Dumbledore. Even if he were exposed, it wouldn't matter much, given Dumbledore's high moral character.

But if he left everything to Dumbledore, what would be the point of his reincarnation? Besides, this was the real world, so it was better to play it safe and try it himself first. The diary was the easiest way; if it really didn't work, he would tell him.
