Night had completely enveloped this post-apocalyptic sea, filled with aberrations and dangers.
The President lay like a slumbering steel behemoth in the darkness.
The three SS-grade plasma thrusters at its stern spewed out ghostly blue exhaust flames, tearing a fathomless gash through the pitch-black seawater.
Its speed was astonishingly fast.
Qin Yu stood on the deck, letting the icy sea wind whip against his black trench coat.
They were less than ten hours away from the coordinates of the Absolute Zero Trench.
"Brother-in-law, autopilot is engaged," Yao Qian's voice came through the broadcast from the cockpit. "Radar is all clear. No large living creatures detected within a fifty-nautical-mile radius. You can go rest for a bit."
Qin Yu pressed his earpiece. "Keep an eye out. Call me immediately if there's anything unusual."
With that, Qin Yu turned and headed down the stairs toward the independent combat preparation cabin on the lower deck of the warship.
As soon as the cabin door was pushed open, a strong smell of machine oil and a cold metallic sensation washed over him.
Inside the brightly lit preparation cabin, dozens of tall, curvaceous foreign beauties were gathered.
All of them had uniformly blonde, red, or brown hair.
Each wore a tight black tactical vest, with tactical daggers and holsters strapped to their long, straight thighs.
They were the Valkyrie Corps.
Once the most elite mercenary organization in these waters, now they were Qin Yu's personal guard.
At the sound of the cabin door opening, the preparation cabin fell dead silent.
Over a hundred top-tier, supermodel-level Valkyries simultaneously stopped what they were doing.
Click!
Dozens of tactical boots snapped together in perfect unison, producing a crisp, synchronized sound.
"Boss!"
The unified shout echoed through the metal cabin, its momentum awe-inspiring.
Qin Yu walked in, his gaze sweeping over the women.
Just a few days ago, their eyes had still held a trace of the unique arrogance and wariness of mercenaries.
But now, everything had changed.
It was a fanatical, extreme conviction—even bordering on... faith.
Qin Yu walked to the center of the preparation cabin.
He kicked aside several empty metal ammunition crates on the floor.
"Have you all equipped the gear?" Qin Yu lit a cigarette, his tone indifferent.
A red-haired squad leader at the front immediately stepped forward, puffing out her impressive chest.
"Report, Boss!"
"The entire unit has completed re-equipment!"
She patted the layer of armor on her body, which faintly shimmered with a dark golden luster.
Her voice trembled with unconcealable excitement and awe.
"S-Class Adaptive Liquid Armor!"
"S-class High-frequency Oscillation Particle Rifles!"
"Three A-class Tactical Medical Kits per person!"
The red-haired squad leader's eyes were slightly reddened.
"Boss... to be honest."
The same light flickered in the eyes of the other Valkyries.
It was too overwhelming.
Earlier that day, Qin Yu had single-handedly annihilated one hundred and twenty-seven foreign main battleships.
He had even hacked directly into the backend of that lofty System, completely emptying the entire Plunder Store.
Such god-like methods.
This kind of confidence that treats top-tier resources like worthless junk thrown at them completely shattered the last shred of pride in these women's hearts.
"Don't measure the present by your past lives."
Qin Yu blew out a smoke ring, his gaze sweeping across the room.
"On my ship, there's only one rule."
"If I want you to live, not even the game can take your lives."
"But if I tell you to kill..."
Before Qin Yu could finish his sentence.
"Kill them all! Even that System Executor!"
Dozens of Valkyries roared in unison.
Their killing intent soared to the heavens.
Qin Yu nodded in satisfaction.
"Good."
"Rest up quickly and get used to the new equipment."
"Tomorrow, there will be plenty of tough battles for you to fight."
Qin Yu turned to leave the preparation chamber.
Just then, a faint mechanical hydraulic sound came from the corner.
"Hiss—"
From the shadows of the corner emerged a tall, stunning blonde beauty.
Elena.
The leader of the Valkyrie Corps.
She wore an extremely form-fitting special combat uniform that perfectly accentuated her explosive figure.
Most striking was her right arm.
It was an S-class Kinetic Prosthesis gleaming with a cold, silvery light.
"Boss."
Elena walked up to Qin Yu.
Standing half a head shorter than him, she slightly tilted her breathtakingly beautiful face upward.
Her ice-blue eyes seemed to burn with a flame.
"The girls are ready."
Elena lowered her voice, her mechanical arm gently resting on Qin Yu's shoulder.
Conveying a faint, cool metallic sensation.
"That trench is a death trap."
"But with just one word from you, the Valkyrie Corps will all jump down, using our bodies to pave a path for you."
Qin Yu looked at her.
Flicked away the cigarette butt in his hand.
And grabbed her S-class mechanical arm.
"Did I buy all this equipment just so you could go be rocks to fill the sea?"
Qin Yu sneered.
"In my team, I don't need cannon fodder."
"I want you all to live, to accompany me in uncovering the truth of this world."
Elena froze.
Her heart, long frozen and hardened in the apocalypse, suddenly skipped a beat.
In this Wasteland Era where human life was worth less than a dog's.
This man before her had given them the finest weapons, yet he wouldn't even let them go to their deaths.
Elena took a deep breath.
Suddenly, she grabbed Qin Yu's wrist in return.
"The guard corps is ready."
Elena's red lips curled slightly, her eyes revealing a wild, seductive charm.
"But I'm not."
She leaned close to Qin Yu's ear, her breath as fragrant as orchids.
"The night is long."
"Boss, don't you want to test whether my newly replaced S-class mechanical arm... is any good?"
A blatant provocation.
With the unique spiciness and directness of exotic charm.
Qin Yu raised an eyebrow.
"Quite bold."
Qin Yu wrapped an arm around Elena's slender, supple waist.
And hoisted her entire body onto his shoulder.
"Ah!"
Elena gasped in surprise, but instead of struggling, she obediently wrapped her arms around Qin Yu's neck.
"I'm going to weigh your worth right now."
Carrying Elena, Qin Yu strode out of the preparation chamber.
Behind them.
Dozens of Valkyries watched the two leave.
Not only did they not avert their eyes, but they erupted into a chorus of knowing whistles.
