Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 : Skyfall Over Townsville

Stone continued to rise—chunks of asphalt, shattered concrete, and uprooted trees hovering in a slow, terrifying orbit around Ben.

His influence stretched farther and farther. The school walls on the eastern side began to shake under the pressure.

Students rushed to the windows, their expressions frozen between disbelief and fear. Outside, the entire eastern yard began lifting into the air, bathed in a violent violet glow that warped the night sky.

Phones were pulled out almost instinctively. Recording began. The glow only grew brighter—drowning out what little natural light remained.

One student zoomed in on the source.

A figure stood at the center of it all—dark, almost unreal. His body looked as if it had been carved from shadow itself, framed by flowing purple-white hair.

His fingers twitched.

The trees responded.

They lurched forward.

Buttercup's eyes widened.

"Ben—!"

The mass of timber and stone surged toward her and JT like a launched storm.

Before it could hit—

Buttercup moved.

She fired her energy beams instantly.

BOOOOM!!!

The blast cut through the incoming debris just in time, clearing her path.

Ben grinned.

The energy bangles around his right hand elongated slightly.

Swishhhh—

With a cold chuckle, he flicked them forward.

"Where do you think you're going?!"

Five bangles launched through the air.

Two aimed at Buttercup.

Three locked onto JT as he ran.

JT glanced back—

One of the rings struck the ground behind him.

RUMBLE—BLAST!!!

The explosion tore the earth open like a landmine.

Time seemed to slow.

JT lost his footing. His ears rang as the blast swallowed sound, expanding into an eight-foot cloud of dust.

Thump. Thump.

His heartbeat echoed in his skull.

Then—

BOOOOM!!

Time snapped forward.

The second wave hit.

Two more explosive discs were already on him.

Swishhhh—!!!

They burned through the air.

Heat warped around his face and torso. Skin blistered instantly—first degree, then second, then third—before the discs tore through him entirely.

BOOOOM!!!

Buttercup moved again.

A green streak cut through the battlefield as she blitzed forward, racing through the explosion's edge.

She couldn't afford hesitation.

Her eyes narrowed. Teeth clenched.

Reluctantly, she grabbed JT by the collar and yanked him free.

She dragged him across the grass just before the blast consumed the space he had been standing in.

"Ahhhh—!"

"My face!" JT screamed, clutching his burning skin. "Tennyson—AHHHH!!"

He rolled in agony. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you—ahhh!"

"Hahahahaha."

Ben smiled.

"Fine by me."

He raised his arm again.

Energy began gathering.

"Blossom, stop him!!!" Buttercup shouted.

But she was too late to fully react.

She saw it—the shift in his posture, the buildup of force, the widening arc of destruction aimed at JT and the surrounding field.

And she understood.

This wasn't restraint anymore.

This was escalation.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!"

A red streak tore through the sky.

Ben turned his head.

On the rooftop—

Blossom.

The orange-haired girl shot toward him at blinding speed.

He barely had time to register her approach before her fist drove into his gut.

Eek—Cough!

The impact folded him slightly.

Her other hand seized his arm mid-swing.

In a blur of motion, she kicked off the rooftop and drove him backward, the collision cracking the sound barrier.

BOOOOM!!

A shockwave exploded outward, ripping across the school grounds and rattling every window in sight.

Ben was torn from the air and dragged upward.

"AAAAHHHH!!"

Blossom shouted as she spun him by the arm with everything she had—then released.

He was launched into the sky.

Ben gritted his teeth.

Pain flared through his gut as he stabilized mid-air, struggling to control the debris still orbiting him.

Trees veered off course, crashing into empty fields and slamming into the main building. The impact was so fast no one could track it—just destruction arriving in seconds.

Buttercup stood frozen for half a second.

The screams of her classmates reached her ears.

She heard every one of them.

But her legs wouldn't move.

She turned away.

Her eyes locked onto the sky instead.

Above them, two streaks carved through the clouds.

Red and black-violet twisted around each other, spiraling higher into the storm.

"Let go of me!" Ben roared.

Raw mana erupted from his body in unstable bursts.

Blossom held tighter.

"I won't let you hurt anyone else!"

Her plan was simple—push him away from the battlefield. Out of range. Out of danger.

"You don't get to decide that!" Ben snapped back.

A violent pulse of energy detonated between them.

Blossom was thrown back—but recovered instantly, stabilizing mid-air.

Her eyes glowed pink as she reoriented.

Below, Buttercup shielded JT from falling debris.

"Blossom… don't fight him head-on," she muttered. "He's not thinking right…"

Ben hovered motionless for a moment.

Mana rolled off him like heat haze.

Then his gaze sharpened.

Not recognition.

Something colder.

"Hahaha," he said.

"Do you even know who you're protecting?"

His voice echoed unnaturally.

"He attacked your sister. Had his friend hold me at knifepoint while I watched him beat her down."

His fist began to glow—compressing energy into a dense, unstable field.

Then he struck.

The punch slammed into Blossom's guard with brutal force.

Her aura buckled.

She held.

Barely.

"Ben…" she said carefully, "I don't know if what you're saying is true—but we can handle this properly. Calm down."

"Instead of fighting—just stop."

A beam of energy shot past her.

Ben twisted mid-air, dodging, then redirected toward the school.

Blossom inhaled sharply.

Ice erupted from her breath, crawling across his body.

He turned and fired back.

Their attacks collided mid-air.

"Listen to me!" she shouted. "I'm not stopping justice—but you're unstable right now! Buttercup and I can take this, but he can't! One hit could kill him!"

They clashed again.

Fire against ice.

Force against force.

When he overpowered her breath, she switched to laser vision, freezing his attack mid-flight—then his arms.

Ben growled, shattering the ice with raw force.

Blossom hesitated for the first time.

How had he gotten this strong?

He wasn't supposed to be like this.

Then it clicked.

This wasn't just anger.

This was grief twisted into power.

A vengeance-fueled escalation.

Below, a blue streak arrived.

Bubbles.

"Please… calm down," she pleaded softly. "We can figure this out together."

"You don't have to become a villain."

Ben's lips twitched.

"Villain?"

He glanced at her.

"I never said I was one."

The sky darkened further.

The clouds churned violently as his power surged again.

The air itself bent inward.

He pulled his fist back.

Energy condensed into a glowing violet gauntlet.

Then—

He struck while uttering a warmthless warning

"Duck."

Blossom braced.

Her aura buckled instantly.

CRACK!

Her forearm snapped.

The sound didn't even register at first.

She only saw the glow.

Ben's skeleton outlined in violet energy.

Then—

BOOOOM!!

She was launched through the air, breaking the sound barrier.

Bubbles and Buttercup moved instantly.

"Now!" Buttercup shouted.

"Right!" Bubbles answered.

They intercepted—but failed.

The three collided into the school.

The roof collapsed inward.

The auditorium was torn open.

Students screamed.

Teachers called emergency services repeatedly.

Sirens filled the distance—but weren't enough.

Not yet.

Students kept recording.

Uploading.

Watching.

Then—

Their screens glitched.

Colors inverted.

Devices overheated.

And shut off.

First Person POV

Thunder cracked above me.

I hovered in the sky, arm broken, gauntlet shattered.

Blossom wasn't weak.

Every hit I landed felt like striking concrete.

But that wasn't what mattered.

What mattered was what came next.

I'd been thrown into a world that refused to slow down.

Most transmigrators get time—systems, training arcs, quiet adjustments.

I got escalation.

Constant escalation.

And now I was here.

A Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls AU mess I definitely didn't ask for.

My first mission had been simple.

Show "lover's rage."

Yeah.

That went exactly how it sounds.

Still…

I exhaled.

No point crying over it.

Villains exist in every world.

Kevin.

Morbucks.

People survive as monsters all the time.

I just needed to survive.

Get stronger.

Get the Omnitrix.

And try not to get turned into a dog by Mojo Jojo latest scheme in the process.

Simple.

Right?

…Right?

Then something slammed into my chest.

BOOOOM!!

A voice rang out above the chaos.

"Here comes the queen~!"

A red-haired girl with drill pigtails kicked.
