Chapter 70 - The Watchful Eyes :

Sheyaan was utterly stunned her eyes fixed in disbelief just moment ago the bowl of noodles and.

the glass of water had been nothing more then simple drowning on paper but now.

The stood right before her real and tangibli. Just then, Zavian's cold yet serious voice echoed,

"Why are you... staring at it like that? Haven't you ever seen... something like.. this before?"

His question brought Sheyaan back to her senses. She quickly tried to hide her shock and said nervously,

"No… not at all!"

Zavian replied flatly, "Then start eating. Don't just... stare at it!"

Sheyaan quickly pulled both items closer and began eating hurriedly due to her hunger.

Just then, she noticed Zavian was about to leave. While eating, she stopped him and quickly said,

"Where are you...going? Sit here with.. me!"

She gestured toward the empty chair beside her. Zavian looked at her for a moment—perhaps he

wanted to refuse—but then silently stepped forward and sat down.

Sheyaan took a spoonful of noodles and, offering it to him with hope, asked,

"Here, you should try... some too!"

Without even looking away from his phone, still using his phone, Zavian immediately replied,

"No… I don't like this... kind of stuff."

Hearing his clear refusal, Sheyaan's face fell. She became a little sad and, for a few moments, sat there quietly holding the spoon, looking at him.

Zavian sensed that the atmosphere had suddenly turned serious. When he looked up from his phone, he saw Sheyaan

staring at him—not with surprise anymore, but with a deep sadness in her eyes.

Zavian softly asked,

"What happened?"

Once again, Sheyaan held out a spoonful of noodles toward him with hopeful eyes and insisted,

"Eat..this!"

Seeing her fallen expression, Zavian's hard heart began to soften.

He slowly stepped closer and silently ate the noodles from the spoon in her hand.

Seeing this, a sudden sparkle appeared in Sheyaan's eyes, and a wide smile spread across her face.

As Zavian ate, he kept looking at Sheyaan continuously. Although the taste of the noodles.

felt a bit strange to him—since he had never eaten noodles before—he didn't show it.

Just then, Sheyaan held out the glass of water toward him and said,

"Here.., drink this!"

Zavian took the glass and drank the water. Placing it back on the table, he asked with slight curiosity,

"How are you...eating this?"

Sheyaan took another bite with the same spoon and replied innocently,

"Why? Didn't you... like it?"

Zavian looked away and, as always hiding his emotions, said softly,

"It was fine."

A faint gently smile appeared on Sheyaan's lips after finishing the noodles.

She didn't hesitate even from a moment reaching forward she picked up the same glass of water from in front of Zavian

And Clamly began to drink from it. Seeing this, Zavian was a bit surprised that

she drank from his used glass without a second thought, but he didn't say anything.

After drinking the water, Sheyaan took a deep breath and looked at the empty dishes on the table, then said,

"Now what should I... do with these? There isn't even a... dustbin nearby."

Zavian suggested flatly, "Just erase it... the way you..drew it!"

Sheyaan looked at him in surprise, then picked up the paper on which she had made the drawing.

As soon as she started erasing those lines with an eraser, the empty bowl and glass on the table disappeared into thin air in an instant.

Seeing this, Sheyaan felt both amazed and delighted at the same time.

"This is truly... amazing magic!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Just then, Zavian, still using his phone without looking up, said in an icy tone,

"Now that your... hunger is gone, will you start... studying?"

With full excitement and a confident smile, Sheyaan replied,

"Yes, absolutely! This time I'll solve all the...questions!"

Saying this, Sheyaan threw herself back into her studies with renewed determination.

But the two of them had no idea that somewhere in a corner of the library,

two people were constantly watching them. They were talking to each other in low voices.

One of them said in surprise,

"I feel like... I've seen her... somewhere!"

The other nodded in agreement,

"Yeah, you're right… but the question... is, where have we... seen her?"

"Their eyes were... fixed on Sheyaan, as if they... were trying to uncover.... some secret from her...past!"

At the table, Sheyaan was completely focused on solving her questions.

Just then, Alisha returned and froze for a moment when she saw Zavian sitting so close to Sheyaan.

She gently nudged Sheyaan's hand and, through a glance, asked:

"Sheyaan… why is Zavian... sitting here?"

Sheyaan smiled, pointed at herself, and said proudly,

"Because of...me!"

Hearing this, Alisha hesitated a little and said,

"Uhm… okay! So, Sheyaan, did you solve... that question?"

While writing quickly, Sheyaan replied,

"Just two more... minutes, Professor!"

Alisha smiled and nodded,

"Alright, hurry up!"

Then she picked up a book and sat down beside them, starting to read.

Sheyaan was completely immersed in solving her question. A slight crease formed on her forehead, showing how deeply she was thinking.

Then suddenly, a spark appeared in her eyes. She placed the pen on the table and said confidently:

"Look at this..., Professor!"

Alisha looked at the worksheet as Sheyaan began to explain,

"If we assume...the marked price is.. 100, then after a...30% discount, the selling price becomes... 70. Since there is a.. 10%

"profit on this.., according to the formula..., the cost price... will be…"

Cost price = selling price / (1 + profit percentage)

Cost price = 70 / 1.10 ≈ 63.63

"This means the... shopkeeper is making a profit.. of about 6.37 rupees...on each item!"

Sheyaan finished with a smile.

Hearing her answer and seeing the calculation on paper, both Alisha and Zavian were completely stunned.

Zavian silently looked at Sheyaan with amazed eyes, as if he couldn't believe

she had grasped the logical concept so quickly. Checking the worksheet, Alisha quickly said:

"That's impressive, Sheyaan! Your answer is...almost completely... correct!"

Hearing this, Sheyaan was overjoyed. She spent the remaining time studying with full focus and dedication.

By now, it was already 3:00 in the afternoon as they sat in the library.

A daap yawn escaped Sheyaan's lips as exhausted finally caught up with her resting her head on the book.

She spoke in a soft sleepy voice.

"Let's go... home now."I'm really.. tired.!"

Alisha smiled, noticing her exhaustion, and said,

"Alright, that's enough...for today. You studied more... than before today."

Sheyaan was so exhausted that she completely lost awareness. Smiling, Alisha said,

"I'm really... hungry."

Because of her fatigue, Sheyaan had already fallen into a deep sleep right there at the table, resting her head on a book.

Zavian silently watched her. Slowly, he reached out and gently moved the strands of hair falling on her face to the side.

Seeing her asleep, Alisha tried to wake her up, but just then Zavian raised his hand and stopped her.

He didn't say a word, but there was a firm command in his eyes—as if saying, "Don't wake her." Alisha stopped right there.

In a low, heavy voice, Zavian said, "Put Sheyaan's books into her bag."

Without saying anything, Alisha nodded and began gathering Sheyaan's books into her bag.

Then Zavian carefully stepped forward and gently removed the book from under Sheyaan's head on which she had been resting, making sure not to disturb her.

Zavian slowly sat down beside Sheyaan and, very gently, lifted her head and rested it on his shoulder.

Then he carefully lifted her legs and held her in his arms as he stood up.

Sheyaan was in a deep sleep, and her soft breaths could be felt against Zavian's neck.

For a brief moment, Zavian felt that closeness, then he began walking out of the library with her in his arms.

Alisha followed behind them, carrying Sheyaan's bag.

At that time, there were very few students in the library, so no one noticed Zavian carrying Sheyaan like that.

Once outside, Alisha opened the back door of the car, but Zavian instead opened the front door and carefully seated

Sheyaan beside him. He fastened her seatbelt properly and then said to Alisha:

"Hurry up! I'll drop you... home first."

Alisha quickly sat in the back seat. Zavian started the car and drove away swiftly.

He first dropped Alisha at her apartment. As she got out of the car, Alisha softly said "Bye-bye" to Zavian and headed toward her apartment.

Zavian drove the car forward and sped away from there. Sheyaan was fast asleep in the seat beside him,

and he kept glancing at her again and again—there was a strange sense of calm in his eyes.

After a while, they reached home. Zavian slowly stopped the car, stepped out, and opened the door on Sheyaan's side.

As soon as he unfastened her seatbelt, Sheyaan tried to turn in her.

Zavian reacted in an instant firmly holding her shoulder to keep her from collapsing.

The next moment he touched softened with utmost care he lifted her into his arms and carried her inside the house.

Meanwhile, Chan was in the mansion's park, busy talking to someone on the phone.

Suddenly, his eyes fell on Zavian carrying Sheyaan. He immediately cut the call and, staring at them with anger and shock, muttered to himself:

"I won't let... this go today… I'll find out... everything!"
