Chapter 76 - A Leap of Faith :

Lucy's strange behavior left everyone standing there in completely shock.

She, who had never once admitted her mistakes---was now openly confessing.

her fault in front of everyone Sheyaan looked at Zavian with innocent surprise.

Zavian responded to her gaze with a soft smile and a slight raise of his eyebrow, as if silently asking,

"So, how was my twist?" Sheyaan immediately understood that this was all Zavian's doing.

Lowering her face, she hid her laughter behind a faint smile.

On the other side, Fangxi's anger burst out at Lucy's sudden change in statement. Staring at her, he roared,

"Lucy! Just now you were saying... such disgusting things about Sheyaan..."

"and now you're...claiming you might have seen it wrong? What exactly are you... trying to say?!"

Hearing this, Lucy paused for a moment, looking confused—as if she herself couldn't remember what she had just said. Then she snapped back angrily,

"Huh! When did I say... that? In fact, what I meant..was—"

She was just about to start poisoning the air against Sheyaan again when Zavian flicked his hand once more in that same sharp motion.

In the very next instant, that same red glow shot out from his hand and struck Lucy again.

Lucy's mind spun once more, and suddenly, she began saying something completely different.

Zavian's red light affected Lucy's mind so deeply that her words completely changed.

"…forgive me! I falsely accused Sheyaan...with such disgusting lies… it was a huge mistake...on my part."

Saying this, Lucy turned toward Sheyaan. Everyone's eyes were fixed on them.

With genuine humility, Lucy lowered her head and spoke in a soft, respectful tone,

"I'm so... sorry, Sheyaan… please forgive me!"

Seeing this, Chan and Manglong were completely stunned. They couldn't believe their eyes—this was the first time Lucy had ever admitted her mistake.

At that very moment, Chan and Zavian secretly recorded her entire apology—evidence that could silence Lucy forever.

Hearing Lucy's apology, Fangxi's anger eased a little, but he still glared at her sternly and said in a powerful voice,

"Do you even realize...how much pain Sheyaan went through because.. of you? I'm forgiving you today,"

"but remember this… if anything like this happens...again, you won't find anyone worse...than me. Do you.. understand?!"

Lucy stood there, completely numb. She was utterly shocked, unable to understand why.

she couldn't finish her own words or why her voice was no longer under her control. She just stood there silently—like a puppet with no will of her own.

Manglong and Chan witnessed everything with their own eyes yet remember silent however.

Beneath that silence their anger was boiling fiercely. When they realized

there was no point staying any longer, Manglong stepped forward and said to Lucy in a cold voice,

"Lucy… let's go."

Lucy, who still wasn't fully in her senses, paused for a moment, then silently followed Manglong and Chan toward their room.

Zavian, who had been standing at a distance watching the whole scene, let out a deep breath as they left.

A victorious smirk appeared on his lips. He glanced at Sheyaan, who finally seemed a little at ease now.

Fangxi then stepped closer to Sheyaan. Gently holding her shoulders, he spoke in a soft voice,

"Sheyaan… please forgive me! I shouted at you,..but the truth is, hearing such things.. about you from Lucy made me lose control. I'm really...sorry!"

Sheyaan immediately turned her face away and looked at him with innocent yet firm eyes,

"I won't forgive... you!"

Hearing this, Fangxi's face fell. He made a sad expression and pleaded softly,

"Please… forgive me, okay? I promise I'll never talk to you... like that again. I'm really... sorry!" sorry!"

Seeing Fangxi like this—pleading and making that pitiful face—Sheyaan's anger slowly began to melt. With a slight attitude, she asked…

Turning her gaze away with a little attitude, Sheyaan said,

"Fine… I'll forgive you—but on one...condition!"

The moment she said that, Fangxi's dull face lit up instantly. He stepped right in front of her and said eagerly,

"Alright! I accept all your...conditions. Just tell me what...it is!"

Sheyaan thought for a moment, then looked at him with a playful smile and said,

"Hmm… then you'll get me... my favorite cake right now… and yes, you'll also take me... shopping tomorrow!

"Do you..agree? If not, then forget about... forgiveness!"

Hearing her "heavy" condition, Fangxi paused for a second, then immediately smiled and said,

"I agree! I'll order your favorite...cake right away… and tomorrow we'll go shopping... too, okay? But now… at least give me a sweet little.. smile!"

Hearing Fangxi, Sheyaan tossed her head with full attitude and said,

"I'll only smile... when you fulfill..my condition… got it?!"

With that, she walked off and sat on the sofa with a bit of attitude.

Fangxi glanced deeply at Zavian, then with a faint smile, headed straight to his room.

As soon as Fangxi left, Zavian started walking toward Sheyaan when suddenly—

Sheyaan quickly got up from the sofa. A bright, blooming smile spread across her face as.

she ran straight toward him and jumped right into Zavian's lap!

For a moment, Zavian was completely stunned. He hadn't even imagined she would make such a bold move.

But the very next second, he composed himself and held her firmly so she wouldn't fall.

Sheyaan wrapped her arms around his neck giggling happily.

"Thank you...for helping..me."

Her voice was filled with excitement as she continued,

"You are...very amazing today..." you didn't even give that... annoying Lucy a chance to...say anything more!"

Sheyaan was glowing with happiness. Zavian held her steady, a faint smile on his lips, and asked softly,

"Why… did you..like it?"

Hearing this, Sheyaan brought her face very close to his—so close that their breaths began to mingle.

Coming close to Zavian's face, Sheyaan said with a bright smile,

"Yes… I really liked... it! Your magic is truly.. amazing! That annoying girl's face..was worth seeing!"

Zavian looked into her sparkling eyes, where there wasn't even a trace of fear anymore.

With a faint smile, he gestured for her to get down and said in a low voice,

"Now get down… or this time she'll...seriously create a new.. drama!"

Sheyaan immediately remembered Lucy and quickly got down from his lap. Just then, Zavian spoke in a serious tone.

"Alright..i should leave...now!"

The moments those words reached her ears Sheyaan's expression changed instantly.

the joy on her face faded replaced by quiet sadness looking at him, she asked softly.

"You… where are you going?"

Taking out his phone, Zavian replied,

"I'm going... home."

Sheyaan nodded slightly, looking disappointed, and said quietly,

"Oh… okay."

Zavian noticed her sadness but stayed silent. He typed a message to Fangxi, informing him that he was leaving.

Meanwhile, Fangxi was in his room getting ready. As soon as he put on his T-shirt, Zavian's

message flashed on his phone. He quickly picked it up and started reading it.

Fangxi read the message and, after thinking for a moment, replied:

"Alright, you go... I'm here. But come a little early... tomorrow—I need to talk to you... about something.. important!"

After sending it, he placed his phone aside. Standing in the hall, Zavian saw the message.

A brief look of thought crossed his face, then he simply typed,

"Okay,"

and slipped his phone into his pocket.

Zavian looked at Sheyaan, who was still standing there, looking sad. Softly, he said,

"Go now, have dinner and get...some proper rest,..alright?"

Sheyaan nodded slightly. "Hmm…" She was about to turn and leave when

Zavian's eyes caught her saddened face. Something in him softened. He stopped her,

"Wait!"

Hearing his voice, Sheyaan quickly turned back. There was a faint spark of hope in her eyes.

"What happened?" she asked softly.

Zavian stayed silent for a few seconds, as if he wanted to say something but held himself back. Then he simply said,

"Nothing… you should.. go."

A little disappointed, Sheyaan quietly walked toward the dining table. Zavian also left from there.

As soon as Sheyaan heard his footsteps fading away, she quickly turned back… but by then, he had already left the house.

Outside, the sound of a car starting echoed, and Zavian drove away.

Sheyaan sat alone at the dining table, but her heart was still stuck in that silent goodbye.

Sheyaan sat at the dining table, waiting for Fangxi, but her attention was still fixed on the door through which Zavian had just left.

Meanwhile, in a room tucked away in another corner of the house, the atmosphere was completely different.

Chan was repeatedly showing Lucy the same video on his phone—the one he had recorded in the hall. Looking confused and troubled, he asked,

"Lucy… how is this even.. possible? You don't even realize...what you're saying,

"but in the..video, you're clearly apologizing... to Sheyaan!"

Lucy angrily pushed the phone away. Her face was flushed with rage, and her eyes burned with fury. She shouted,

"I honestly don't know... when I ever said.. 'sorry' to that Sheyaan! I don't remember anything.. at all!"

She began pacing around her room in frustration, clutching her head as if trying to

clear those hazy memories. Then, in a sharp, hate-filled voice, she said,

"I won't spare that.. Sheyaan! She must have played...some new trick!"

Chan stood there, lost in his thoughts.

By now, he had already realized that something was terribly off, this was on ordinary situation.

Lowering his voice he muttered to himself.

"Whatever happened to Lucy...it's definitely strange."I have to...do something."
